Total Drama: The Hunter

A story in which a new character is added to the Total Drama cast. Aoife Jackson was just your everyday ordinary high schooler; not too popular but also not an outcast. Upon learning of the release of the game show Total Drama Island, he and his friends all decided to apply, not truly expecting much. Aoife was quite surprised to see the letter in his mail, expecting the accepted applicants to be people far more interesting than himself. Follow along as we discover more about Aoife and his mysterious past, as well as his interesting future. I chose to write this story as I’ve noticed there aren’t a ton of interesting TDI fanfics, so decided to take matters into my own hands.

Aoife's Home And Part Two Of The Second Challenge

~~Later In The Same Day~~

Aoife could currently be seen within his clearing, a pile of resources next to him in preparation for his building.

Letting out a sigh of resignation, Aoife decided to start on his home right away, not wanting to allow himself to procrastinate. Grabbing 6 of the 7-foot tall sticks, Aoife began to drill holes through them.

Swiping the sweat from his forehead, Aoife glanced with pride at his finished work. He had drilled 9 holes of around the same size through each of the 6 sticks. Setting the sticks down, Aoife got to work digging a hole in the ground that was about 2-feet deep.

It took Aoife about an hour to complete the process of digging the hole, it was around 2-feet deep with a border of around 14 feet in length and 7 feet in width.

Grabbing the sticks with the holes drilled through them, Aoife began to stick them in the ground around his hole, each side getting three sticks. The sticks were each around 7 feet from each other. After making sure the sticks were sturdily placed with no wobbling, Aoife grabbed his pile of sticks, beginning the process of sliding them through the holes.

Aoife made sure to siphon the excess part of the stick that stuck out from the one in the middle, allowing the stick to go about halfway through it, before placing another stick through from the other side.

Repeating this process, Aoife began to stack the sticks atop one another, creating walls. Altogether, the walls were around 9 feet tall, with the 2-feet deep hole and the 7-feet tall sticks. Aoife then carved out a 3-feet gap in the front of his wall, making a doorway.

Grabbing another handful of sticks from his pile, Aoife began to work on the roof. For the roof, Aoife laid the sticks out straight across the 7-feet long walls, each around 7 feet from one another. He then laid another group of sticks across these sticks, forming a criss-crossing pattern.

Using this as a basis, Aoife grabbed leaves that he had tied into bundles with the string he collected from trees, placing them atop the criss-crossing logs, layering them until he felt that the roof would be sufficiently water-proof.

At this point, Aoife was too tired to continue his work on the house. As such, he grabbed a couple piles of his leaves before bending down and entering the open doorway of his house. He covered the doorway with leaves to keep any wayward animals from simply wondering in, before using the rest of his leaves as a make-shift bed and falling asleep.

Waking up, Aoife glanced around slowly in confusion, giving his brain time to slowly remember where he was. Once fully awakened, a smile of pride appeared on Aoife's face, content with the progress he had made yesterday.

Noticing the shifting of something next to him, Aoife looked down in wonderment, wondering if some animal had managed to get in during the night. Serious expression morphing into a loving smile, Aoife glanced down at Izzy, who must have come back some time in the night.

As if she could feel his eyes on her, Izzy snapped awake, her expression turning into a beautiful smile as she looked lovingly at Aoife. Giving her a look of curiosity, Aoife asked, "Where were you last night? When I'd come back to the clearing, you were gone." His tone gentle, clearly expressing both concern and curiosity.

Giving a mischievous smile, Izzy let out a chuckle, giving Aoife a mysterious look before replying with a simple, "Oh, nowhere important."

Giving her a shake of the head in a show of exasperation, Aoife could only hope that whatever she had done hadn't gone too far.

~~Yesterday~~

Seeing the figure of Aoife walking into the forest, Izzy gave his back a loving look until he was out of sight. Shaking her head, a smile filled with a crazy kind of mischief spread across her face, her figuring shooting up to her feet.

Looking at the quickly darkening sky, Izzy rushed out of the field, heading into the forest.

Her eyes having long adjusted to the dark, Izzy hopped from branch to branch as she quickly sprinted through the forest. Heading in a direction she had long taken note of, it wasn't long before the sound of voices could be heard.

Giving the people below a glance, Izzy felt some relief that they were having no trouble. The figures below were of course, the rest of the Screaming Gophers. Having confirmed that they were okay, Izzy's figure flickered as she headed into the distance, in a completely different direction.

The first thing to catch her attention was the sound of running water, and along with it the voices of a large group of people. Seeing as Izzy had already visited the Screaming Gophers, the identity of this group of people was obvious, the Killer Bass.

Her mischievous smile coming out in full bloom, Izzy landed on a tree overlooking them.

Looking down, Izzy took notice of what the team was up to.

They were currently divvying up the food that they had managed to forage through the forest.

"Okay, so we're all in agreement that we'll divvy up the food supply based on the individuals contributions to collecting it, correct?" The energetic voice of Bridgette could be heard as she spoke to the rest of the team, clearly showing her position as leader.

Slowly, the food was divvied up, with Duncan and Ezekiel receiving the most, followed by Geoff, Courtney, and Bridgette herself. After those two was Tyler and Eva; of those left over, none of them had managed to find any food, so they got the pitiful amount that was left over.

Stomachs grumbling, the few left over could only look down at their food in pity. They wanted to complain, but understood this to be the best way to divvy the food to increase the chances of their team surviving.

Izzy's look became predatory, her figure flashing as she fell from the sky. Without knowing where or how she got it, Izzy appeared wearing a ninja suit that covered her from head-toe. Reaching the pitiful amount of left over food, she reached out, snatching it before the other team could react.

Under the astonished and somewhat angry gazes of the other team, she disappeared, leaving those who hadn't managed to collect any food to have nothing left.

This was what Izzy planned, to slowly whittle down the amount of people on the other team to make it harder for them to forage for food.

The other team could only look on helplessly, her figure flashing away too fast for them to stop her.

Little did Izzy know, that her plan would work far better than she had even been aiming for.

~~Bridgette's POV~~

Watching the figure, who she could only assume to be a member of the other team, flash away, Bridgette could only watch on helplessly.

Looking at the pitiful figures of her teammates who now had no food, Bridgette couldn't help but feel sorry for them. She spoke up, "I'll give you guys some of my food seeing as there's no time left tonight to go out and scavenge for some."

Saying this, Bridgette looked on in hope that some of her other team members might also offer help.

Seeing none of them respond, Bridgette couldn't help but let out a sigh. She had hoped that Geoff would help, she had begun to like him from their previous talks, but seeing him willing to abandon his own team mates immediately lowered her opinion of him.

Reaching out, she handed some of her food to the group, receiving grateful looks in return.

~~Present Time, MC's POV~~

It had been about an hour since Aoife had woken up, and he had finished putting the final touches on his house. He had removed the leaves from the doorway and replaced it with a wooden door that was connected to the top of the doorway and was kept open by a string that connected to the roof, holding the door open.

Giving the finished building a proud look, Aoife also glanced at the one other thing he had made in that time-frame. It was another spear, almost identical to his own, the only difference being that this spear was much shorter in length. Figuring that with her similar personality to his own, Izzy would also want to go out when he hunted.

Upon showing the spear to her, Izzy gave him a smile that showed she truly appreciated the gift.

Looking over toward Izzy, she could be seen maniacally cackling as she swung the spear. Her swings were wild yet showed experience, this was clearly not the first time she had wielded a spear. Giving Izzy an indulgent look, Aoife spoke,

"Love, it's time for us to go hunt for some food. With how busy I was yesterday, I only had time for a small meal so today we're hunting something bigger!" Aoife said, his tone one of anticipation, his expression one of crazed excitement.

Izzy's expression seemed to replicate his own as she heard his words, her look turning predatory.

"Today, we'll be hunting a boar. It's something that could easily satiate both our hunger." Aoife said, continuing after a pause to allow Izzy time to digest his words, "I've been talking to the squirrels recently, they actually let me know where a boar lives. They said something about it attacking them, trying to take over their territory."

Izzy's eyes shone, she had also talked to the squirrels before. It seemed the both of them noticed that the wildlife on this island had seemingly developed a far more sophisticated form of intelligence than their city-dwelling counterparts.

Leading the way, Aoife headed off in search of his prey, anticipating the amazing taste of a self-hunted prey as well as excited for the challenge the animal would pose.

A/N: So far, the poll seems to be mostly in favor of the harem, so I'm making the ground work for that possibility. It'll be easy enough to change things around in the future if the poll shows any changes.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter!
