Attention! This chapter, including future ones, will be in 3RD PERSON!

Sven steadily recovered over the few days, The nurse said that he wasn't severely injured, all he needed to do was recover his stamina and it would be completely fine.

Nick couldn't help but feel a rush of relief when he heard this news, he was concerned about Sve because he seemed to have taken quite the beating during his fight against Roark, the first gym leader.

Nick also decided to stack up on resources and supplies, preparing to adventure further.

Due to the recent prevalence of trainers over recent years, bike shops are available almost everywhere, but the requirement is that you have to possess at least one gym badge.

Nick ended up getting a bike so that he can traverse through route 207 and through cycling road to arrive at Eterna city, instead of having to go back to Jubilife city.

So, after waking up the following morning, Nick hopped on his newly purchased bike and alongside Sven and Bellator headed toward route 207

Nick knew that Route 207 was fairly small, and due to that he traveled through it very quickly. He decided to stick around to see if there were any Pokemon as route 207 held some pretty rare Pokemon with good potentials such as Gligar, Phanphy, and even larvitar. The image of having a Larvitar on his team caused Nick to drool, but he simply brushed it off as a pipe dream.

"Damn, it seems there isn't much here," Nick said, "I kind of wanted a Gliscor, but oh well."

"Well, there are quite a few trainers here…"

"Might as well."

Nick then fought some trainers, and although they were more powerful than before, the strongest ones were the ones with bikes, for obvious reasons. He chose to prioritize challenging them, and they gave Sven and Bellator a pretty damn good training session.

"Alright, it seems we cleared out all of them," Nick said, disappointedly. He used some potions and fed them berries, which seemed to do the trick as they were all fine soon after.

"Alright, training is going to be very simple." Nick stated, "Sven, I will be teaching you Metal claw and further enhancing your control over fighting energy."

Nick turned to Bellator who was lazily sitting down but was still paying attention. "I am gonna teach you Draining kiss and teleport, which shouldn't be difficult at all."

"It also seems you are nearing evolution, all you need is one last push." Nick said, "I can tell from how your psychic energy output has increased and your horns, alongside overall body structure had grown."

Bellator actually seemed quite excited at the thought of evolving, enthusiastically grinning.

Nick couldn't help but also feel excited, "Now, Disarming voice, draining kiss and teleport is really simple."

"For teleport, it is very clear you have the psychic energy needed, so just focus your psychic energy on one location, and instead of firing an attack, you let it flow out naturally."

Bellator closed his eyes in concentration, before he opened them, now a light blue color. He suddenly emerged behind Nick, grinning.

"Great job, just keep practicing doing that and once you get a decent grasp over teleport, I will teach you draining kiss and disarming voice."

"Now, you aren't a steel type yet, but you will be once you evolve." Nick said, "that fact alone means you will have an easier time with Metal claw."

"Now, Concentrate on your arms, your fingers specifically." Nick said, "Then, try to harden it, Try to reinforce it, try to visualize it as actual metal."

Sven nodded, clenching his fist, and closing his eyes in concentration.

Nick's eyes widened, quickly followed by a grin as Sven's head shined a bright white, "Now, use it on that tree!"

Sven leaped into the air, swiftly punching the tree, the strike did considerable damage to the tree.

"Good, you did that a lot quicker than I thought…" Nick said, he was quite surprised at how fast Sven got the hang of the technique, it seems he has been underestimating him for quite some time.

Nick also saw Bellator randomly teleporting around, sometimes going on trees, sometimes behind bushes, he seemed to be getting a good hang of the skill.

"Alright then, It seems they are almost ready for the next step…"

After hours of Sven committing mass genocide on rocks and such around, alongside random trainers using a Metal claw, he can now use a Metal claw without many problems, it makes sense I guess, Metal claw isn't really an advanced technique by any means.

Bellator has been having a bit of trouble with Disarming voice, while he is part fairy type he has never once used fairy energy before.

"Fairy energy is well…er-" Nick didn't know what to say, he wasn't an expert at fairy types.

"Just try to do it with confusion…except fairy!" Nick said, Bellator simply stared at him, incredulously.

"You'll get the hang of it!" Nick said, "learning disarming voice will allow you to more easily access your fairy energy, which will allow you to learn even more advanced techniques once you grow powerful enough to withstand them."

Bellator nodded, before once again going into a daze that Nick likes to call, "do not interrupt me I am training" state.

Bellator, after at least 20 minutes, finally made progress, a pinkish aura started to surround him as his eyes glowed a deep red, instead of blue.

He then shot a pick, vibrant blast. The blast didn't do much, Which left Bellator unsatisfied as he instantly started to concentrate even harder and launch even more blasts, this went on for a while until he finally ran out of stamina.

"Damn."

Nick didn't realize until now how much effort Bellator put into everything, normally he doesn't go this far, maybe his loss to Roark's Shieldon pushed him over the edge.

"No need to push yourself too far.." He reassured, "Trust me, you are plenty powerful for the stage you are at."

Bellator nodded slowly, he rarely ever shows any emotion. Which is odd…considering he is an emotion-based psychic type.

"Sometimes treating yourself is for the best, why don't we take a break?"

Sven seemed to be happy, and Bellator also seemed to be quite keen on that idea. Ever since Bellator and Sven have started hanging out more, Nick has sensed a change, subtle it may be, change in Bellator's overall demeanor, he seems more open and expressive. Which is good in the long run.

"I once read this book, I think it was titled "the complexity of the Ralts," which talked about how most of the time male Ralts are more shy and subtle, while female Ralts are more expressive and enthusiastic."

After they had their quick snack and chill break, the two of them went back to training, Nick told Sven to practice his fighting energy and Metal claw, While Bellator continued to work on his disarming voice, Nick also taught him the basics of draining kiss a bit.

Agent 36, codename "Azula", sat in a chair in a dark room with only one light shining on the table.

"Oi, Ray, what took you so long?" The haughty woman flicked her long black hair in annoyance, "Don't be like this Azula, I am still your superior after all."

"Learn to treat me with respect, please." The young adult stated, "Plus, I can mop the floor with that pathetic team of yours."

"Shut up!" She yelled, slamming the table.

"It's true, you are a new recruit that got beaten by Ivy of all people!" The man said, grinning wildly.

"Anyways, I heard you saved some random rich-boys ass from a bunch of gangsters, that you suspect is a part of team unity."

"Oh, I didn't do anything, that boy beat all of them with a bat, and even survived a gunshot," Ray said, matter-of-factly.

"What!?" Azula shouted, "Did he unlock his typing?"

"Mmhmm, he's fighting."

"WHY DIDN'T YOU RECRUIT HIM ON THE SPOT!" Azula shouted angrily.

"Because his Pokemon were too weak," Ray said calmly, Azula's eyes widened with shock. \

"How?" Azula stated, "it should be impossible for a rookie trainer to have already unlocked a typing!"

"It's very plausible if you use that pea-sized brain of yours that only cares about chaos." Ray said, "Think rationally, you are also being too loud."

"He could've been taught, or could've been lucky, it wasn't the fact he had unlocked a typing that interested me…"

"It was the way he fought, it was as if I was watching a ranger fight, the proficiency he had with his movements and the fact he didn't even flinch upon bloodshed…"

"It was as if I was watching a section commander fight." Ray stated, "that boy was too experienced, he could probably beat you in a fight."

"Not that that's much of an achievement, considering your skill level…"

"OI!"

"Shut up, please." Ray said, "The only people I've seen with that kind of experience are gang leaders, rangers, and members of the SDA."

"It's…fascinating." Ray said, a wide grin spreading on his face, "I plan on keeping tabs on him."

"But, more importantly…Team unity." Ray said, "it seems the worst situations have fallen upon us, We have gained 2 major pieces of information."

"1, their plan, which relied completely and utterly on luck, has succeeded. They now have power over Snowpoint city," Ray said, "We also know Team Unity is an entirely different organization from the group of thieves that's been stealing massive amounts of resources from Oreburgh city, SnowPoint, and Sunyshore."

"This group…"

"Calls themselves the radicals."

Azula simply nodded, lost in thought.

"It is quite interesting, isn't it?" Ray said, "Merlin suspects that an all-out battle will occur between the Sinnoh Government, The Radicals, and Team unity very soon."

"It sounds…"

"So fucking interesting!" Ray said, a crazed smile spreading across his face.

"You're insane." Azula stated calmly, "Now I know why people call you, the yellow devil."

"You're not any better, you know?"Ray said, An similarly crazed grin spread across Azula to.

Bellator trained until it was sunset, then he finally got a good grasp over disarming voice and draining kiss.

When everyone woke up the next morning, Nick decided to teach them something more complex.

"I want to create custom moves, using the moves you guys already know," Nick said, "I also want you guys to learn how to use your moves more defensively."

Moves like confusion or psybeam can knock you far away and can thus be used for defense, I want you to practice doing that, Teleport can also be used for defensive purposes, so whenever you think things are getting worse for you, just teleport away," Nick explained.

"Now, Sven, I want you to use metal claw as a sort of shield, sometimes, Due to how hard it is, it can block incoming attacks quite efficiently." Nick explained, "I also want you to reinforce your body when fighting energy upon impact, it will soften up the blow quite a bit."

Sven nodded, "To practice that, you should learn how to quickly bring forth fighting energy and reinforce either your entire body or just a certain body part."

The morning slid into the afternoon, The both of them were training diligently, After Nick finished his own training and workout, he decided to mix things up a bit.

"I want to teach a technique I thought of, first Bellator, Then, Sven," Nick said, " For Bellator, I created this technique I call, Psychosis zap."

"How this technique work, is that you combine the electricity from Shock wave, and manipulate it through your psychic energy." Nick explained, "I want you to manipulate this electricity to do one very specific thing, to make it work as a protective shield."

"Make it surround you so that if anybody gets a bit physical, they will get zapped." Nick explained, "since both your control over electricity and your psychic energy still need work, this is likely the best you can do right now."

"Practice charging up shock wave, then manipulating it with both your control over it and your psychic energy."

Bellator nodded, before teleporting to a random place a few feet across.

"Now, Sven, For you…"

"I will be teaching you the technique that I named, Havoc bringer," Nick said.

"This is a technique that I developed back in my previous life…"

"This technique focus on channeling an abundance of fighting energy into one singular strike, and releasing it." Nick explained, "I will also make a certain gesture, when I do this, you have to swap the massive amount of fighting energy, which depending on my gesture, you will swap it to a certain part."

"If I punch the air, then you swap it to the other limb, if you channeled it into your leg, you swap it to your fist."

"If I yell out some inaudible noise, you will switch it to the other side, if you channeled l dit into your arms, you will swap to the other arm."

"If I wave my hands, then I am telling you to approach the situation the way you see fit."

"Now, I want you to practice channeling massive amounts of fighting energy, then swapping them to anywhere you want." Nick explained, "You may leave and go train now!"

The training progressed smoothly, when it approached evening Nick had them have a quick sparring session, telling them to use what they'd learned.

Nick then had them fight random trainers, also earning a bit of money while doing so, Bellator had gotten decent at Psychosis zap, but it still had a lot of room for improvement.

Thus, The Sunset and night became apparent.

______________________________________________________________________________________

Nick and his pokemon were awoken by the bright sun shining down on them, They immediately scoured for some berries which served as their breakfast, and started continuing things.

"For today, I want to explore Mount coronet, which is not far from here." Nick explained, "The Pokemon there are a bit stronger, and the trainers might also be more powerful than the people here."

So, with that, Nick hopped onto his bike and not long after, they arrived at Mount Coronet, They entered the rather mysterious cave.

"Mount Coronet is infamous for having been involved in team galactic's shenanigans, Due to that, many different Pokemon have found themself here…"

"Including Sneasal's…."

Nick stopped dead, upon seeing a lone, Sneasal. Sven and Bellator looked at me, confused as to why I was staring at it.

"No, Loki is gone…I will likely never see him again…"

Yet, despite all of this, Nick still couldn't just leave…

"We are catching that Sneasal." Nick said solemnly, "It will be our new member…"

"I really am a selfish bastard…"

"But I would rather be selfish than live with regret!"

Nick slowly approached the Sneasal, The feline Pokemon was instantly on guard, slowly walking away.

"I am not going to hurt you, I mean no harm…" Nick said, trying to sound as soothing as possible.

The Sneasal, However, didn't seem to believe me as it sharpened its claws, "Calm down, Like I said I am not going to hurt yo-"

The Sneasal leaped into the air, claws sharp, ready to maul me.

Sven quickly intercepted the attack with a swift quick attack and kick to the face, Bellator readied a shock wave, Nick however stopped him from firing it.

"As I said, I don't intend on hurting you." Nic said, "I, swear on my pride as a trainer, to make you become stronger."

The Sneasal perked up at the "becoming stronger" Part, Nick smiled warmly.

"Here, take these berries," Nick said, before pulling some out of his bag and handing it over to the Sneasal, who snatched it after some contemplation. "I will make you stronger, give you shelter, feed you food…doesn't this sound like a good deal?"

Sneasal contemplated my proposition, before finally nodding.

"Great, then why don't you go into this ball, don't worry, the moment you go in, I will release you out, I am sure you don't like tight spaces, right?" Nick said, The sneasal nodded, before hitting the trigger, and in a flash of red light, and a ding , Sneasal was officially registered on my Pokedex.

I released the sneasal as I checked my Pokedex, the sneasa looked around curiously.

"It's a female…I guess I can't name her Loki…"

"Hey, Sneasal…would you like a nickname?" I asked the feline Pokemon, it nodded after a few seconds of pondering, "Then..how about, Sicarius?"

Sneasal seemed to like the name, as it nodded in acceptance.

"Alright, welcome to the team, Sicarius!"

"Now, let's explore a bit more and train a bit, okay?" Nick said Sicarius seemed to like the training part.

We fought some of the trainers in the cave, I got to see how strong Sicarius was and Nick was pretty surprised at how powerful he was.

The way he fought was vicious, his claws were sharp and easily tore through non-rock-type opponents, He is also by far the fastest and most agile member, completely leaving Sven in the dust.

Once Nick and his pokemon fully exited the cave, due to it being pretty dark they decided to rest and train more tomorrow.

When the sun rose, Nick woke them all up to announce something.

"Alright, we will train for 2 more days before going through the cycling road, I will also make a trip back to Oreburgh to stock up on supplies."

After the trip was done,(it only took around 2 hours.) Nick immediately put them to work.

"Now, Sicarius, since you are a pretty new addition, For now, we will only be doing basic training to make you faster and stronger."

Thus, I made her fight Sven, due to them having the most similar fighting style, but Nick occasionally made her fight Bellator.

When afternoon hit, Nick decided to teach Sicarius a new move.

"Your best dark type move so far is Pursuit, I want you to learn night slash before we depart for Eterna." Nick explained, "use your dark energy and morph it into the state of a stick, pretty simple, right?"

Sicarius nodded, "Alright, go!"

Sicarius and Sven, to Nick's surprise, the two of them actually seemed to get along well. Both of them were expressive, and usually enthusiastic about training.

Sicarius and Bellator, on the other hand, did not seem to enjoy each other too much, but they didn't hate each other, fighting and dark types can get along, but it is much more difficult for dark and psychic types to get along. Due to dark types completely nullifying psychics, fighting is only a counter to dark.

Sicarius's training is progressing smoothly, due to her speed she can keep up, but she can't take hits that well. She's also gotten a good grasp over night slash, she can form the stick now, but it doesn't deal much damage.

"Refine the stick more, balance out the dark energy you are pouring in, the amount you are pouring in is enough, you just need to compose and balance it further so that it becomes more deadly," Nick explained, Sicarius listened keenly, before closing her eyes in concentration.

There wasn't a noticeable difference, but the difference between clear when she swung the dark stick and it hit the tree with impressive force, much better than previous attempts.

"Good job, Sicarius!" Nick praised, and Sicarius grinned, liking the attention.

The training went smoothly, and then the sunset arrived, so we decided to call it the end of the day.

Then, we awoke again and started training even more.

We took a few breaks, but the majority of the final day we stay in Route 207 was just training, I wanted to catch Sicarius up and she's been doing excellent. Her night slas, by the end of the day, could severely damage trees.

Thus, the day ended, without many interesting things happening aside from training.

Thus, the next morning, Nick departed to the cycling road.

Cycling road is a road exclusively for people with bikes, 3 years ago Pokemon battles were prohibited, but after an incident wherein multiple trainers and Pokemon suffered casualties, Battling on Cycling road has since been illegal.

Many trainers rode on their bikes, either rushing to get to Eterna or calmly observing the surroundings and Nick had to admit, the surroundings were beautiful, to his pleasant surprise.

Nick could also see many people under the bridge, fighting, and hanging out, and he even saw a few trainer battles that seemed to be a bit interesting.

Occasionally, Starly would swoop down onto the bridge, observing the many people biking around, Sometimes entire flocks would sit on the side to watch, thankfully nobody was dumb enough to attempt to catch them.

There is also a cave near Cycling road, called Wayward cave, however this cave, while entry is allowed, is very dangerous as it is the premiere place where the Garchomp line is found, Due to that, there have been many incidents when cocky and arrogant trainers enter the cave in hopes of finding a Gible, only to be brutally slaughtered.

Garchomp are hyper-aggressive Pokemon, they have the natural instincts to hunt and to clear through anything that enters their territory, they have also adapted to be naturally weary and aggressive to Humans, which is something only a few Pokemon do, This is caused by poaching. Humans are also the reason why the previously widespread and dominant Garchomp line, is only found in one specific cave.

After a while, Nick finally arrived at the entrance to Eterna city.

So thus, Nick stepped foot into Eterna city and felt the sweet embrace of the cheerful city, this time he wasn't met with the scent of minerals being mixed.

I released Sven, Bellator, and Sicarius.

The tree Pokemon seemed too aggressive a feeling that Eterna City emits, which made sense, the place was a lot better than Oreburgh, which is mainly an industrial city, which means industrial emissions are almost always in the air.

Nick and his Pokemon instantly went to the nearby Pokecenter, the place was actually bigger than the one in Oreburgh, likely due to how populated the place is.

Nick noticed there was quite a commotion, He, alongside his Pokemon, decides to check out what is going on out of curiosity.

"What's going on?" He whispered to a bystander in the Pokemon Center, "Ah, a random arrogant newbie challenged the moonlight walker!"

"Who?" Nick asked, confused as to who this "Moonlight walker" fella is, "He is the new, rising, prodigy from Sunyshore, he apparently already has 2 badges, despite only being the first week of training!"

"Although I heard there is a nasty rumor saying that he purposely made his first 2 gym fights easier, by choosing specific fights that he had a good type matchup against." The man explained, Nick simply nodded.

"So, how did the floor?" Nick asked, "Well, the Moonlight walker absolutely destroyed that dude, his Staravia completely decimated that poor dude's Magby!"

"Interesting…"

"Well, thanks for the info!" Nick thanked the man, before registering for a room.

After that, Nick fooled around a bit with some of the card games, He decided to play them with his Pokemon, only for Bellator to mop the floor with everyone.

Then, all of them went to bed, ready for tomorrow's gym fight.

______________________________________________________________________________________

That's the end of the chapter! I hope you enjoyed it, I know most of it was just training, but I still tried to implement some interesting stuff, at least.

Now, I didn't want to drag things out a bit, considering the next chapter is going to be the gym fight, the fight will not be nearly as lengthy as the first gym one, because it isn't the main focus of the chapter.

But yeah, Huge thanks to ashwinhh1812, for creating such a lengthy review, I hope you liked this chapter, See ya!
