To Find: Season 1 (Soren's Darkest Mind Tape)

Story Tape #4

(After the events of Story Tape: Loneliness)

I woke up from my interaction with Whisper, opening the door as everything became dark, my ears were ringing with static noises. I get up from the floor, slowly regaining my consciousness and noticing that my attire has changed to a "darker form," symbolizing the monster within me clawing its way out. I looked up at the dark sky, seeing an Entity looking over the city, its creepy smile latching onto me as I felt an immediate sense of discomfort, but It paid no mind to me. As I approached the city where Soren was being kept, the city was becoming further away from me as the environment changed around me. I now find myself on a trail located within a forest. I started to get scared but the cross around my neck reminded me that God is with me. Although I was afraid I continued to move forward, it was not like I had a choice. Ominous music (Goetia, by Lustmord) playing in my ears, and the discomfort of the cold wind, I tried comforting myself by thinking of a song (Softcore, by The Neighbourhood). I continue to move, as I hear someone laugh echoing within the forest. I looked around as I had an eerie feeling that someone or something was following me. I tried to focus on my mission, to find and save Soren as moments later, the music that I had to comfort me abruptly stopped hearing leaves crunching behind me as an abnormal figure whose body looked lengthy and slender, Its arms longer than Its legs, Its neck slightly tilted with a wide smile and It's eyes bulging out from It's hollowed sockets. My heart dropped as my breathing started to become heavy, I felt that I was about to faint due to the fear I had growing inside my heart; my cross glowing as the creature started to run at me. I yelled out "Oh my God, no!". A song started to play. (Dead God Graveyard, By Oliver Buckland). I ran and ran, the forest was so dark I barely saw anything. I looked to my left as I ran, eyes staring at me as I looked to my right, eyes staring at me; I was so scared. As I continued to run, a light that appeared to be a staircase led down to an underground train station. It was odd but I didn't care. It was Soren's mind, I needed to get away from this creature. I ran down the stairs, becoming darker and darker to the point where I finally reached the train station. I turned around quickly as the creature stood in front of the entrance, staring at me. Its body jittered as the door slowly closed, but before it fully closed, the creature tilted Its head as It opened Its mouth. I started to tear up behind my mask, trying to compose myself as I turned around, reassuring myself that God is with me. The train station was quiet, so I was now alone with silence, but for a moment. An announcer who had a female voice said, "This is the Dark Valley Metro, next stop is the City of Blinded Faith." I waited a while as a train approached, slowly coming to a stop. Hesitant at first, but I didn't know where else to go. I entered the train and the doors immediately closed behind me. I tried easing my breathing, knowing that although God is with me, I was physically alone with my thoughts and decision-making. I wanted to cry but held onto my tears since I failed to do so the first time. I don't want to cry and feel weak, but when so much is happening all at once, my heart is filled with sadness. Will I die? How will I die? What will happen to me next once I am dead? Should I let them take me? Why did I even decide to come? Am I even ready? Kill me already. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Stop. The train is moving. A monitor turned on, making a chiming sound, grabbing my attention. I waited and waited and waited. A loud static noise rang in my ears, and unsettling music (void__19###-A, By No Love In The House Of Gold) plays in a distorted effect, holding onto my ears tightly through my mask as D.E.F.E.A.T showed his face, the lights in the train becoming blood red as the train came to a sudden halt. D.E.F.E.A.T eerie laugh caused my heart to feel so much pain and anxiety. I held onto my cross tightly to give myself a sense of comfort, to feel God's presence. D.E.F.E.A.T spoke, "Oh, Just, you think I'm going to let you ride safely to my city? Oh no, I'm going to make you suffer. I'm going to make you cry, and put you in danger, a feeling you haven't felt in a long time, so do me a favor, will you? Stand right there like a good little duck. I'm sending some escorts to help you exit the train one moment, please." I felt my adrenaline kicking in as I looked at the single door leading to the other train car, three shadowy figures walked through the door one by one by one, a song (Jeepers Creepers, By Jack Teagarden / Paul Whiteman & His Swing Wing) hearing their ungodly groans as I try to break the train window with my hand. Idiot. Relax and think, or you're going to fucking die. I looked around to find myself a dirty hammer, so I tried bashing at the window, the figures getting closer as they started to charge at me, doing one final swing. The sound of glass shattering and falling on the floor, I managed to jump out of the window, not landing my jump properly on the ground, but getting back up quickly. I ran towards the direction the train came from, panicking. I didn't know where to go, I didn't know what to do. I was scared. God, please help me. My Lord, I hear them chasing me, laughing at me. Those terrifying laughs as I kept running, my legs were burning, thighs, everything. God, I want to cry. But then I heard something heading my way. No way. Is this happening? I'm running on a single train track, and there's another train heading towards me. Are you fucking kidding me? I started to panic even more as the figures laughed at me. Is this how I die? I just got here. No, please. Not like this God. As I ran towards the train, I started to yell out, using all of my momenta to hug the wall with my back; the forceful wind from the train hit my face as I whimpered against the wall with my eyes closed. Moments later, I opened them as the train continued rushing past me, so I looked to my right to see the figures still chasing me. I continued hugging the wall, walking to my left as I opened a door nearby, running forward inside a narrow room. I quickly stopped as the floor was missing, my right leg losing balance as all three figures reached out to grab me, as I fell back into the dark hole. I cried out to God, reaching my hand out. Nothing to hold onto. Everything went black.~
