To Find: Season 1 (Hurry Tape)

Story Tape #30

The tape begins with Just on the passenger seat in an armored vehicle heading to the cave, riding through the dark Forest with a few vehicles following behind him. The song (Transgender, By Crystal Castles) starts to fade into the background, a sense of hope filling Just heart. He spoke to the team on his earpiece, discussing the plan.

"Alright Team uhhh… Ermm…. Just gonna call us Team Snow, yeah? I-I don't know. Listen… We have an important mission, our job is to push the Goo back into the source. At some point we're going to run out of cements to hold the attacking creatures, so we need to push them back. There is an Entity that's emerging from the cave, a very dangerous one that can destroy our town. We won't let that happen! The plan is to create a big enough power of light from my God that it can keep the Goo at bay, keeping It stunned. Are y'all ready?" 

Squad Snow says "Yeah" loudly, Just smiles underneath his face mask as he looks at the Driver, patting his shoulder. 

"Let's fucking do this." 

The Driver nodded as time went by, finally making it to the entrance of the cave. Just exited the vehicle along with the rest of his team, the other team that stayed back to continuing blocking the entrance with cement. One of the teammates called out to Just. 

"Hey! We're running out of cements over here!" 

Just walked up to the member, as he patted their back. Responding to them.

"I have a solution."

Just calls out to his teammate, a few of them were left behind to continue covering the cave entrance. Seven of his teammates huddled next to Just, summoning the bat in his hand as it was embedded with light. 

"Alright, put your guns and knives together."

The teammates do as they are told, putting their guns and knives together as Just closes his eyes; moments later opening them as he finds himself alone in the dark. His breathing was shaky, looking around to see nothing but darkness. Just called out to God.

"My Lord! I ask for Your help, please without You we will be destroyed!" 

Silence. Just began to walk aimlessly in the dark plane of existence, hearing footsteps echoing in the empty space. Moments later a blinding light caused Just to put his hand out, seeing a light ray emerging from the sky hitting Just body. He closed his eyes, tears forming and flowing down his cheeks as he spread his arms out. Just cries out to God.

"You've helped me time and time and again. When I felt that all hope was lost, when I felt that the cold air of Death brushing my body it was You who gave me hope. You who helped me face the horror within Soren's Mind. I ask You God, to help me. To fight off the new threat."

Silence. Just yells out to God, begging Him.

"GOD PLEA-!!" 

The light ray goes brighter as Just slowly gets down on his knees, embracing the light as a fierce wind blows at him. A vision of Just performing a gesture flashes within his mind, summoning the bat into his hand as he takes his cross necklace off with the other hand, slowly sliding the cross across the bat. Just returned back to reality, performing the gesture in real-time as he opens his eyes; more tears pouring out. Just gently touched his teammates weapons with his bat, the light spreading throughout their weapons as they are now embedded with light. Just teammates were in shock, having hope as they tried to get used to the burning sensation that Just once felt. Just stood across the cave entrance speaking on his ear piece, wanting to check in on Jelen.

"Jelen, are you there?"

Static.

"Hello?"

Static again.

Maybe she's busy. Just sighed to himself, hiding behind a tree as he called out to his teammates spraying cements on the cave entrance.

"Guys! Get ready, we're about to start the assault!"

The teammates left the armored vehicles, hiding behind rocks and trees as they stopped spraying the cements. Just closed his eyes, praying silently. 

"My Lord, give me victory over my enemies."

The sound of the dried, mixed with wet cement can be heard being cracked as low moanings can be heard from behind the cement. It was silent for a while. After some time has passed of being quiet a loud rocky explosion is heard, everybody leaning against the cover as the cave was now exposed. The growling sounds were more clearer to hear, the four Goo creatures that were once Investigators cried out in agony. Team Snow were in horror, seeing such an uncanny abomination. Just clenched his bat tightly as he shouted out to his teammates.

"NOW!!!"

Just gets out of hiding as he swung his bat on the ground downward, creating an orb of bright light as he swung it horizontally. The orb hits all four of the Goo creatures, creating a blinding effect against them. Team Snow gets out of cover as they start to shoot at the Goo creatures, making them slowly walk backward. Just continues to hit orbs at them, seven of my teammates walking into the cave with Just. The aura that was once around Just to protect him from the melting, burning goo that covers the floor is chained to his nearby teammates. They were confused as to what the aura around them is, Just reassured them.

"It's okay! God is protecting us from the Goo, it burns your skin!" 

They nodded their heads as they continued to fire at the creatures, leading them deeper into the cave. Just call out to them, being cautious.

"Use a short fire burst, don't waste your ammo! They are blinded for a short time, so use sparingly."

Just talked to himself, continuing to hit orbs at the Goo creatures. I need to be careful, I can't use too much of my energy. I'm definitely going to need it… Some time has passed since the initial assault, Just knew that he wasn't tripping when the corridor felt longer than before. Just hear sounds of his teammates reloading, moments later firing as Just used the opportunity to catch his breath. The voice of Bēlua rang in his ears.

"Just, we are close. Keep going, I can feel the Entity. It's almost free! We don't have much time!!"

Just eyes widened, hearing that it's almost free as he shouted out to Team Snow.

"The Entity is almost free!! Come on!!! We need to keep moving faster!!"

Team Snow shouted out in acknowledgment. Pushing the Goo creatures further deep into the cave, finally, they arrive at the core center of the cave. Just looked up in horror, including his teammates as they stopped firing for a while. Whisper appeared beside Just, looking up. Just spoke in a shaky voice.

"W-What… The fuck …?"

The Entity is nearly out, showing Its melted off face with Its red eyes bulging out, seeing Its skull from behind the hot goo; screeching out loudly as It tries to free itself from the sticky goo. Whisper was disturbed, worried. 

"Just, I hope your God has a plan because that thing needs to be taken down, now… This has to end."

Just was feeling the pressure, looking back at his teammates stunned by looking at the abomination. He lets out a deep sigh, closing his eyes for a moment then opening them back up. He shouted out loud.

"TEAM SNOW!! DISTRACT THE CREATURES WHILE I TAKE THE ENTITY DOWN!! CHECK YOUR FRONT AND YOUR BACK!!"

Just teammates snapped back into reality as they readied their guns, beginning to fire at the Goo creatures as Just looked down at his cross, praying to God.

"God, You've led me this far. How do I take It down?" 

The cross grew bright as the bottom part of the cross shaped itself into a sharp edge. Just looked down at it, visions flashing into his mind. He looked up at the Entity, determination filled his heart. I'm going to kill this fucking thing. I'm going to save everyone. I have to, or else we're done. I can't let that happen. Please God, don't let it happen. Help me, please… please… please… Just began to run at the Entity, climbing on Its leg that is exposed, it was slippery but he still needed to keep pushing forward. Using the cross and stabbing It on It's leg to keep himself from falling off. It shrieks out loud, using Its other hand to reach out to grab Just; moving away from Its hand as he goes behind It's leg. Holy shit, I can't let It touch me. I thought it was going to be an easy climb. Come on Just… Come on… Team Snow were continuing to shoot at the four Goo creatures, one of the teammates yelling out. 

"I'm getting low on ammo!!"

Another one of the teammates replied. 

"Me too! Remember, we can use our knives!!" 

Just looked at some of his teammates switching to melee, praying to God that they will be okay as he climbs his way up the Entity lower back using the cross. The gooey waterfall falls on Just, but the aura protects him from being melted as he clenches his teeth tightly. I can't fail. I won't fail. Time went by, making it up to Its shoulder as the Entity continues to try and free Itself from the Goo waterfall as Its body slowly forms. As Just stands on Its shoulder, trying not to lose his balance he hears an horrifying scream of a female teammate being torn apart as she yells out.

"SHADOW-WALKERS!!!" 

Just froze. D.E.F.E.A.T, he's here… Shit! GOD FUCKING DAMNIT!!! Team Snow turned around to hear the faint sounds of screaming coming at the end of the cave, becoming terrified. One of the creatures recovered from being stunned, screeching out loudly as it stretched its arm out into one of the team members; exploding the inside of his body. Blood and organs splattered on the teammates, spikes poking out from all over his body. Just looked into horror, freezing on top of the Entity shoulder as he watched the inside of his teammate's body being exploded; tears rolling down his cheeks as he spoke quietly.

"God… N-No… No God… No…"

Team Snow started to fire at the Goo creatures, few of them fired at the four while the others were cautious of the screams echoing within the cave from the entrance side. Just shook his head to regain himself, sobbing on the way up as he reached the back of It's head. You… I don't know what the hell you are or where you came from, but I'm going to end this. Right here. Right now. Just jumped around on Its face, both of them looking at each other as Just yells out in rage.

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!"

Both Just and the Entity screams out loud, hearing the sound of flesh being torn apart with screaming coming from his teammates, the sound of shooting and knives being plunged into. Just plunged the sharp-like cross into the middle of It's forehead as It let out a cry of agony, moving It's head around violently; causing Just to fall down onto the gooey floor. Grunting from the impact as he looks up at the Entity dying, a smile spearing on Just face. We did it God… We did it… Thank…

You….?

Wh-...

What…?

The cross emitted a bright light, making what seems to be a rising sound as if it's about to explode. An unfamiliar, hostile voice spoke within his mind. Just started to cry as he laid back on the floor, his body covered in black inky goo with only his head being exposed.

"YoUr GoD. FaiLeD YoU."

The voices of Whisper, Sophismae, Quiesco and Bēlua rang in Just ears. They called out to Just as he closed his eyes, feeling ashamed of himself as all he hears is the sound of his teammates dying from the hands of the creatures and the Shadow-Walkers. The tape ends with the camera facing outside of the cave, dead bodies laying on the ground with creatures eating the dead bodies. Silent. Silent. Silent. Then…. Boom. An explosion within the cave causes the ceiling to come crumbling down, debris bursting up into the air as the goo that was inside the cave started to fall upon the land. The camera pans towards the town as distant screams can be heard.~
