Story Tape #19

The tape begins with a quick imagery flash of Livious deformed face, the sound of flesh tearing and bones being crunched. Just face melting off from the extremely hot, boiling goo as he cries out in agony. The tape showing the building exploding and being set on fire, Livious rising from the pool of blood laughing maniacally. Just rolling down the hill as he runs away from her, destroying the lever from the inside and pulling the lever down from outside. Livious screams in pain as she crawls on the floor, dying in front of Just. The Entity appears as the vision ends with Just body exploding from the inside, Just waking up from his nightmare as he yells out loud. His breathing becomes shaky as he struggles to get a word out, Whisper appears beside him as he tries comforting him. "Just, hey! You're home Just, you did it." I was panicking, looking around my surroundings to see that I'm home. Closing my eyes as I start to sob to myself, covering my face as my entire body shakes. Flashes of what happened to me ever since I entered Soren's Mind overwhelmed me. "I can't take it anymore..." I began to sniffle as my nose became a bit watery, wiping the tears off my face as Whisper placed his hand on my shoulder; his TV head displaying a sad face imagery. "Just, you have a long journey ahead of you. There are many more horrors to face, but look at you. You're still here. Still breathing. I'm sure your God has plans for you, perhaps to endure the suffering and the torment to prepare yourself for something worse. You must grow, that's the only way you'll be able to win against D.E.F.E.A.T." I started to rub my face, remembering the feeling of it melting as the tears running down my cheeks were burning. "Just, give me some space... I need to process all of this." Whisper nods his head as he walks away disappearing into the darkness. "When you're done, check up on the Merchant for the key." I watched Whisper disappear as I was now all alone in my room, laying back on the pillow as disturbing images from the events that happened to me flashed into my mind. Wincing in pain as I hold my head tightly, smacking it as I yell out feeling as if I'm about to lose my sanity. "UGGHHH!!! MAKE IT STOP GOD, PLEAAAASE!!!" I jumped up off the bed as I got down on the floor, crying so much as I curled up like a ball; everything that happened to me. Getting stabbed, shot at, encountering death many times, my own face melting from that thing... And yet, this is just the beginning. Bēlua spoke. "Just, stand up." His voice shook me as I wiped the tears from my face, slowly getting up off the floor; looking down as I was ashamed of myself. "You need to pull yourself together, learn how to handle pressure when overwhelmed with trials. How will you grow if you do not learn, endure, fight?" Bēlua words made me tear up, looking down at my cross as I took off my necklace; gripping the chain as my cross was hanging. "I'm scared... All of this feels too much for me. The pain and the terror, my face... My... My face..." I started to rub my face aggressively as if the pain is returning again, Bēlua's voice echoed within my ears. "Enough. I will not be able to protect you forever, you must learn how to defend yourself with the proper training. I can help you, including your God. Close your eyes, Just." I walk up to the bed, sitting on the edge of the bed as I close my eyes; placing my hands on my knees as I take a deep breath. Feeling my body becoming light as my body slowly lays back on the bed, feeling my eyes rapidly moving underneath my eyelids; letting out a loud gasp as I open my eyes afterwards. I feel... Empty.
