To be reborn as a porcelain doll

When I opened my eyes again in a lavish and gold-leafed display case, I was bewildered. Furthermore, I couldn't comprehend why I was inside the thin glass, and when I tried to move my body to open the glass, it felt as if my arm, seemingly weighing thousands of kilos, hadn't budged an inch. While pondering that I might have been kidnapped, a shock overwhelmed me as I turned my eyes to my arm—a porcelain doll's arm. Later, my reflection in the golden vase to my right caught my eye. The reflection of a red-haired, red-eyed baby, whose gaze was turned to the side, appeared. It was quite eerie, and I realized that I had reincarnated into the body of a porcelain doll. Then, a blue screen appeared in front of me. According to what it said, if I could fulfill the desires requested of me, I would gain strength. It emphasized that if I wanted to escape from this body, which could break at any moment, I had to fulfill these requests. It was for my own survival!

To be reborn as a porcelain doll Part 8

Thursday in Harmoniusa had been quite calm according to Amorilith, and it was already Friday. Alyysia had not visited Felix's room yesterday because today was a worship day held once a month to strengthen relationships with ancestors and kin. This day, known as 'Korifeios,' was dedicated as 'Lirhendititi' and celebrated with a dialect different from the traditional Krutal language.

Valnric had once again given advice to the Crown Prince, Felix, to speak the Traxist dialect of this Krutal kingdom properly. Mary considered Valnric more of a teacher and guide than just a steward.

The Crown Prince, Felix, received regular reminders not to make mistakes and not to forget important days and their contents. While Felix was not particularly pleased with this situation, Mary was quite happy, slowly getting to know and learn the traditions and lifestyles of this world.

Approaching a display case, Felix pressed on the glass, and a "click" sound was heard as the glass case opened. He then reached inside, took Mary, held her in his arms, looked at his reflection in the mirror one last time before leaving the room, and walked towards the exit of the palace.

At the palace exit, there stood a woman with white-grayish hair, wearing a loose white robe and flat shoes. Right next to her was a man with black hair and blue eyes, resembling Felix than oldder and with wrinkles, wearing a white robe with subtle gold embellishments.

Throughout the journey, the Emperor, Empress, and Felix conversed in the Traxist Dialect. Due to the unfamiliar words, Mary began to feel a phantom headache, wishing for the journey to end quickly.

As the sun reached its zenith, the carriage stopped. After the attendants opened the carriage door, the First Emperor, followed by the Empress and finally Felix with Mary, stepped out.

Upon seeing the medieval structure in front of her, Mary was shocked. The worship house, roughly the size of a four-story building, was adorned with brown and white tones. Various white tulips were planted in the garden of the worship house, and inside, people displayed noble manners, engaging in polite conversations.

Behind the nobles, individuals resembling students of the worship house walked slowly, kneeling once and pounding their hearts before forming a circle with their fists as a sign of respect before entering the church.

A prevalent symbol adorned the entire worship house: three faceless human silhouettes. In the background, a silhouette with various wrinkles, slightly bent at the waist and holding a cane, stood. Just in front of them, a silhouette appearing younger but still in the middle age group, and at the forefront, the youngest-looking silhouette among them.

The people displayed reverence by kneeling and forming circles with their fists before entering the church. Mary was fascinated by the structured hierarchy evident in the place.

According to Valnric, the silhouettes were painted in various colors, and each color held a symbolic meaning. The gray represented age and serenity, the blue depicted diligence and determination, and finally, a mixture of orange and yellow symbolized youth and dynamism.

As Mary gazed at the structure, she couldn't help but feel awe. However, Felix and the rest of the Imperial family entered the church through a different entrance without displaying any signs of admiration on their faces.

After performing her worship in a small ceremony, Alyysia was cleaning Felix's room. After leaving the room, she wanted to retreat to her own quarters to rest since she had no other tasks to attend to.

As she walked towards her room, various thoughts occupied her mind. "I wonder how Felix is doing? Since he has taken the Divine angel, I cannot seek advice from him... Why did he have to take it today? As if there were no other ancestors representing in the palace, he went and took the Divine angel!"

Alyysia mumbled to herself with a slight frown on her lips. When she reached her room's door, she encountered a few servants surrounding her. "Where are you going? Servants shouldn't stay idle, right?"

Alyysia, with no sign of irritation or discomfort on her face, smiled innocently and said, "Yes, they shouldn't. As a devoted servant of God Xearix, after finishing all the tasks I need to do, I retreat to my room to spiritually develop myself, read the myth of the Eight Gods. I wonder if there is something you need from me, dear sisters?"
