Chapter 25 - Attempting Golden Core

In a hidden dimension, four young world-destroying monarchs—Xin Yang, Bai Lihua, Yu Yong, and Ye Meng—sat together, laughing until tears streamed down their faces.

"Did you guys see his face? Oh my gosh, he really thought he would become a Golden Core cultivator without doing anything!" one of them exclaimed.

"Well, he's indeed an idiot. Even in my era, I haven't seen someone like that," another chimed in.

"He blew up."

"He indeed blew up."

As the four friends spent more time together, their bond grew stronger, and they began to share their deepest secrets with one another. However, Xin Yang still kept his transmigration and the mysterious Dimensional Spirit book to himself.

The more Xin Yang cultivated, the more he realized how incredible the manual was—it seemed tailor-made for him. Although he hadn't made any progress in his Realm Creation, Divine Void Steps, or Void Shattering Fists, he felt that he was on the verge of a breakthrough and needed just a little push.

Having plundered two high-end sects, their storage room overflowed with pills, herbs, weapons, and other treasures. While Xin Yang couldn't use the weapons for some reason, the pills and herbs would greatly aid his cultivation.

Upon entering the storage room, Xin Yang observed the servants he had created, organizing items under Ye Meng's guidance. These servants lacked any complex abilities or cultivation, serving as empty spirits devoid of intelligence. Xin Yang scanned the room, searching for anything valuable to him. He discarded anything below Sky grade into a pile, intending to sell it later.

Although the room contained numerous manuals, none were Heaven-Grade. Most were Earth and Spirit-Grade, but Xin Yang knew he could use the Crystal of Time to transform them into Heaven-Grade manuals and techniques. However, doing so would leave him exhausted, so he decided to postpone the task for now. To his delight, Xin Yang discovered a Heaven-Grade Flowerless Fruit among the treasures. This rare item would significantly boost the cultivation speed and qi cultivation of anyone who consumed it.

Xin Yang decided to save the Heaven-Grade Flowerless Fruit for later use. The skills he had acquired from the book—Void Shattering Fist, Divine Void Steps, and Realm Creation—had all reached the Initial Stage. His fist technique allowed him to execute basic 18 fists, learning fundamental moves and stances that laid a strong foundation for his combat abilities. The more fists he unleashed, the more ripples he created in the surrounding space.

As for the Divine Void Steps, his only movement technique, he could teleport anywhere within a 3-4 meter range. Realm Creation, on the other hand, was the most complex auxiliary technique he had ever encountered. The very idea of creating a realm seemed impossible, yet he was learning the skill.

Ye Meng, Bai Lihua, and the newest member, Yu Yong, had all reached the Foundation Establishment 9th stage. Xin Yang was at the Peak Foundation Establishment 9th stage, on the brink of a breakthrough, but he felt that something was missing. Yu Yong was of little help, as he had simply devoured others' dantians to increase his own power. Ye Meng suggested that engaging in a life-or-death battle might help Xin Yang's cultivation.

Xin Yang agreed, believing that facing a more powerful cultivator or demonic beast and putting his life at risk would stimulate his innate potential. Smiling like a madman, he devised a dangerous plan. Ye Meng, knowing Xin Yang's personality, warned him, "If you die, I won't grieve for you."

Laughing off the comment, Xin Yang opened the exit to the Void Realm and leaped out. Since they hadn't relocated the gate, it remained just outside the city. Xin Yang closed the crack, channeled qi through his body, and shouted, "DIVINE CEDAR SECT EXPLOSION WAS SO COOL!" His voice, infused with qi, was heard by the entire city.

Everyone froze. Who would dare to say such a thing? The Sect had just been destroyed, along with their main supporter clan and the Young Master's death. The former Sect Master Qin was a changed man, with bloodshot eyes, bulging veins, and clenched teeth. Upon hearing Xin Yang's voice, his anger erupted.

"YOU DARE!!" he shouted, followed by a group of clan Elders, the Clan Patriarch, and even their ancestor. Sensing their powerful qi approaching, Xin Yang realized he was in deep trouble. He couldn't reopen the crack to the Void Realm or they'd discover its location.

With two Soul Formation cultivators, four Golden Core cultivators, and one Soul Transformation cultivator hot on his heels, anyone else would have surrendered. But not Xin Yang—he had a purpose. Employing the Divine Void Steps, he taunted, "You're all weak as chickens!"

Furious, the Elders and Sect Master roared, "Courting death! We originally wanted to spare you, but since you dare to be an impudent youngster, you will face the consequences!" Xin Yang retorted, "Try catching me first before yapping around!"

Xin Yang contemplated the riskiness of his current actions as he continued to run. He believed that if he executed his plan correctly, he could escape easily and also stimulate his foundation. Although a Nascent Soul cultivator needed less than a second to catch a Foundation Establishment cultivator like him, Xin Yang's Divine Void Steps made him almost impossible to catch. His speed was beyond fast, and any attempts to use qi on him would dissipate once he teleported away.

"Doesn't matter if you can hop around like a grasshopper, you're just as weak, once I catch you I'll let you experience pain as if you've been in 8th level of Hell for a thousand Samsaras" The Ancestor couldn't help but voice out his frustrations as he couldn't get hold of Xin Yang

"You sure talk big for someone as slow as you"

The Ancestor mobilized his Qi and moved at breakneck speed, which was so fast that Xin Yang and the Elders couldn't react in time. Suddenly, an insane amount of pressure descended on Xin Yang, but it wasn't at the level of the expert he met back at the cave. Nevertheless, the Ancestor, being at the Soul Transformation Realm, was still a powerhouse capable of destroying empires with a mere thought. Xin Yang didn't know the Ancestor would appear, but his appearance was an unknown variable that he could handle.

the point that Xin Yang, nor any of the Elders could react in time.

"I caught you now" Smiling, the Ancestor held Xin Yang firmly, until Sect Master Qin came

"Hey hey, we can talk this out, I was merely jo- "Before Xin Yang could continue Sect Master Qin interrupted him.

"I don't want to hear you begging for mercy, all I want to hear is who are you and why did you shout such words"

"Well, to be honest with you…." Xin Yang looked around him.

"Don't try anything funny young lad, I'm holding you in place"

'Sure you are' thought Xin Yang

"Ok so, I know who destroyed the sect, and also killed your Young Master"

All the Elders, The Ancestor and Sect Master looked at Xin Yang in disbelief

The Ancestor shook Xin Yang. "Who!! WHO!! Spit it out!"

"Ok Ok, well he's my master… Venerable Everlasting 99 Lotus Petals…"

They stared at Xin Yang in silence…

"Who's that, I've never heard of him in this Northern Continent at all" Said the Ancestor, clearly agitated.

"Well… That's because he's not from here, he's from the Central Continent"

Sect Master Qin couldn't contain his anger and decided to launch an attack on Xin Yang, then search for this everlasting flower. As he closed in, Xin Yang suddenly disappeared without anyone noticing. He had secretly opened a small crack to teleport away. Although the Ancestor had been restricting Xin Yang's Qi from mobilizing, his grip lessened as soon as Xin Yang "confessed," providing him with an opportunity to escape unnoticed.

Sect Master Qin fell to the ground once again and let out a bellowing roar that shook the whole city in frustration.

Sect Master Qin clenched his fists in rage and anger. His sect, which had stood tall for centuries, was destroyed in but a blink of an eye. The culprit who dared mock them so openly was still out there, laughing at their sorrow and rage.

Though Xin Yang had escaped their clutches, Qin vowed to find this 'Venerable Everlasting 99 Lotus Petals' and make him pay with a thousand folds of suffering. How dare this outsider invade their land, destroy their home and take the life of his only son?

The Ancestor's rage was no less furious. For the first time in his long life, he felt utterly powerless and humiliated. How could a mere Foundation Establishment cultivator toy with them so? It was unacceptable! They were the pride of the continent, renowned for their strength and wisdom. Yet this day, they were made complete fools of.

The Elders shared their rage and frustration. Their pride and dignity were shattered into pieces. Once revered as leaders, they were now seen as incompetent old fossils, unable to protect their own.

In the eyes of others, the Divine Cedar Sect was nothing but a joke. A symbol of weakness and failure. Their downfall would be remembered for generations, a warning for others who dared grow too arrogant and complacent.
