My apologies sir, I don't really watch the news" Bree replied curtly. However the Mayor recognized the look of mockery in her eyes. Though she used such a term to refer to him but that did not mean there was even a hint of respect.

"How are you even a detective?" He asked her "how did she become a detective?" He asked the room like anybody knew the answer to that question.

"A detective who woukd rather waste her time applying makeup and skin moisturizers is investigating the death of my daughter, is this a fucking joke?" He yelled out loud in anger.

It took a lot from Bree to not say something about the indirect compliment just thrown at her. The mayor had just openly told everyone that Bree had very nice skin and even her bareface looked like she wore makeup.
