CHAPTER 34: Marry Me.

"Don't." Ju Byeon stopped her in time before she made matters worse for herself because of a stubborn sister. "He's the man, the same man I just told you about"

Just that sentence was enough to make her rush there, like a bolt of lightening , she stopped when she was about seven steps away.

Chin Ari couldn't guess exactly where the Chin Sun's courage was coming from, even she doesn't have that sort of courage. Having a sword pointed at your throat and still you'll still be able to maintain balance. Her eyes was crystal clear, she didn't look like anyone who would break down soon.

Merely seeing the dead body on the floor made Chin Ari's body shook mightily. This is someone's grandpa or maybe father, he might even be the guardian of someone and now he's....probably dead. The ground was soaked with thick blood and the blood was gushing out non stop. Not too far away some people where hugging each other while crying bitterly.

She has heard of him so many times, not just from Ju Byeon. The only prince who controls death or maybe he's just death itself. She didn't have the courage to look into his eyes, sensing the danger lurking around her, her throat went dry and her heart started to beat rapidly.

"Take her away." his cold and husky voice resounded in her ears, every single word of his cut through her skin bit by bit. She couldn't take it anymore, what has her little sister done to be taken away by a cruel prince like him. She had sworn not to let anything bad happen to her little sister, even if it cost her life she's willing to accept that as her fate wholeheartedly.

"No no no...Take me instead, leave her alone, please don't hurt her." She was at the verge of crying.

Everyone around them gapsed in shock. No one has ever opposed the crown prince's order but this random lady just did, guess she doesn't love her life. Even she didn't know what got into her at the moment as she immidiately ran towards him, knelt down and held tightly onto his sleeves and started to plead.

Kim Kyong who heard the voice turned to see who it was that dared to touch him. How dare she!

Chin Ari noticed his gaze on his sleeve, it was then she removed her hand slowly and gently. She knew she was dead and she warned Chin Sun to stay away from trouble! To just listen to her and not get into trouble! she shouldn't leave the compound! but the girl just won't listen.

Kim Kyong's men, already seeing her as a threat, unsheathed their swords and pointed at every part of her body. Just a word and she'll be unevenly dissected into miserable pieces.

"Sister!" Chin Sun screamed. Her courage shattered a d fear overwhelmed her.

Chin Ari shut her eyes tight reflexively, expecting the sharp edged swords to pierce through her and dissect her into uneven pieces but nothing of that sort happened instead she heard the sound of them retreating.

She opened her eyes fearfully only to meet the guy already who already crouched down to her level with his eyes locked in hers.

Then he uttered the two life destructive words..."Marry me"

Her eyes widened in shock, everyone else around were shocked as well. Now she prefers death over marriage. Marriage! A marriage with the prince of death.

He leaned in and whispered into her ear. "You don't have a choice".

She felt her heart skip a beat for a moment, her body went numb immidiately he uttered those emotionless words. Doesn't he have human feelings at all. Her chins quivered, sei didn't realize it when a tear drop fell on her cheek.

Kim Kyong stared at her face for a while. He couldn't deny it, the girl made him feel in a way he doubt he had ever felt before. Now he wants her even badly now, he wants to make her his so quickly and claim her as his so no one would try to take her away.

Chin Ari was staring blankly at his face, her lips slightly apart as multiple tears fell from her face. This was the same man she saw at the market square, the same man that ruthlessly killed an old man without a good reason in particular.

The same man who was said to have once killed the daughter of a general and her father. The same man who was rumored to completely wipe an entire family out of existence just because they turn their back on the Emperor and refused to carry out his order cause circumstances couldn't permit it.

Right now, she didn't know how her life is going to go be. Where exactly was it headed to. This afternoon, the sun, the people, and nature as a whole, acting as a witness. Their destiny just took a huge turn.

Kim Kyong's gaze shifted from her face to the girl's slightly parted cherry lips, her red lips looked seductive and were calling out to him but he valued his self image more than anything else and controlled himself. She really is enticing, even without adding any action to it.

He wiped her tears with his thumb. His tough and rough palm skin grazed her skin gently, giving Chin Ari some weird sensation. He looked familiar but she can't remember where exactly she saw him. "Three days"

"Don't make an attempt." his voice laced with unsaid warning, sending shivers down her spine. He leaned in and gave her a kiss on the forehead before leaving. Immediately Kim Kyong left with his men, the crowed that gathered not too far from them dispersed as well.

The girl was left all alone to rethink her life all over again and wonder how her days on earth would be like. Why does she suddenly feel that her end was near, that she was going to die soon. Sooner than expected, sooner than imagined.

Even the girl she came to save and protect from the wrath of the unmerciful prince is now long forgotten. Things are about to change but who knows how. From frypan to fire or from fire to frypan. Both are still bad just that one is lesser. Or maybe it's not even one of the two.

He still didn't release her sister. Chin Sun was gone!
