CHAPTER 32: Embarrassed.

Madam Kwan suddenly smiled slyly. She looks her tea cup elegantly and took a sip from it before facing Chin Hyuk. "I hear your eldest niece is here as well. Why not introduce her? Perhaps my brother's son, who's of marriageable age, might be interested."

Chin Hwa suddenly felt like tearing the wrinkled faced woman like a piece of thin fabric. She's so annoying! Not only is she not content with her, she wants to take a look at her cousin as well!.

Chin Hyuk choose to speak this time. He cleared his throat and choose his words carefully and wisely. "Actually, she and her mother went out for a tour.....it's been a while since they've been here..." He spoke slowly and Madam Kwan sneered deep inside.

"We've made out researched and also found out that you also have a niece, Chin Hyuk!" The head of the Lee spoke again. The old man was the one representing his son at the moment since he was too busy to come for such an important family meeting.

The Chin's present in the living room were almost about to cook to death. How did their daughter's marriage talk turn to that of some random persons. "Sir Kwan. Unfortunately, she is already engaged....

"Oh!, I almost forgot....she's engaged to the son of Dong Chan, Dong Chul. My bad, accept my apologies." The old man immidiately apologized. It's really inappropriate to propose a marriage proposal to an already engaged person.

"Old age comes alongside with failing memories." Chin Sun who had been sitting quietly looking bored suddenly spoke up.

Chin Hun heart dropped. It would have been better if this reckless and useless son didn't say anything. His words are going to turn everything upside down now! "It's not your fault, old man. It's actually how nature's course is." he continued.

Chin Hyuk shot him a terrifying glare. The man who was already so bored of the marriage talk stood up,in the process,he unexpectedly collided with a maid carrying glasses if water to serve everyone.

The water cascaded down on everyone, drenching Chin Hun the worst. Her heavy makeup ran, revealing hidden bruises beneath. Gasps filled the room as the water trickled down, slowly exposing the marks on her face.

The Kwans' gasped. Chin Hun reflexively closed her eyes when the water splashed over her. Chin Hwa gasped as she stared at her mother's now exposing face. It looked really horrible now!.

"This is outrageous!" Madam Kwan erupted, standing up in anger. "Is this how you treat your wife, Mr. Chin? You assault her and force her to hide it with makeup? Come, Jing-yu, we're leaving. We won't marry into such a dysfunctional family!"

Chin Hwa's heart sank. Was her chance of marrying into a prestigious family vanishing because of her foolish brother?

"No, aunty. This isn't my father's doing. She got hit by a stranger, this has nothing to do with my father." Chin Hwa immediately explained.

Kwan Jing-yu didn't want the marriage to be called off. He had already fallen head over heels with their daughter. Why is his mother so hasty in making decisions.

"How could a stranger just attack you and you let it slide? You're a woman of high status! How could someone beneath you assault you?" Madam Kwan's surprise was evident. She clearly didn't believe them.

Chin Hun who was now the new victim didn't say anything. Chin Hyuk felt to embarrassed and ashamed and stayed quiet as well. Chin Sun walked away without giving a damn about the situation he caused. The maid knew she already lost everything and she made the matter worse by weeping and begging to safe her job. Chin Hwa was stuck. She was the only one defending herself.

She felt like crying. This whole thing was eally embarrassing, she imagined everything to go smoothly and easy going but her useless and senseless brother just ruined everything for her. Now her day is completely ruined.

"Madam Kwan, She's right, I got involved with an outsider. She's really a crazy one but I couldn't take any legal actions against her cause she had so many other things she is facing all she did was out of pure frustration and nothing else." Chin Hun explained skeptically.

All of a sudden Chin Hwa stood up and ran upstairs. She couldn't bare it anymore, even if she ended up getting married, she'll always keep on getting reminded of this horrible day.

"Hwa-Ja! Hwa." Chin Hun tried calling her back but the girl turned deaf ear to her mother's call.

The head of the Kwan clicked his tongue in mockery. "What an organized family. My grandson will never get married into such a family as inorganised as this family!" The old man stood up angrily.

Chin Hyuk saw that the prestigious family where about to leave and couldn't hear to loose such an opportunity. He couldn't let such slide by. Living a high status life isn't a free gift of nature. One has to work for it." Elder Kwan.

" I understand you are upset with gowmy family setting is but in my family, children are given the free right to express themselves. I don't implement laws on my children but I can assure you they are all well mannered. Of all the girls in this household, I can assure you that my daughter is the most collective and restrained of them all." he said sounding so sincere.

"But I won't force you, it's your choice. I'm just looking for a family that I can hand my daughter over to, that won't treat her any less than she is being treated here at home so she won't miss home too much.

Your son is one of my customers. When he proposed this marriage to me, I also gave it a long thought on how my daughter would also adjust with such a prestigious family with a high status but he assured me. Cutting of everything at the very begining is breaking your promising approach!"
