CHAPTER 31: A Daughter-in-law...

In Chin's mansion, the whole setting was already made so perfectly and the prospective male families are coming, their daughters must really look presentable. After what seemed like forever, Chin Hwa got completely dressed up.

Chin Hun was still so angry, how on earth won't she be able to attend her daughter's first meeting with her soon to be in -laws! And it's all Chin Bada's fault.

"Mother." Chin Hwa called excitedly. She really couldn't wait to meet him. Even though she hasn't met him before, her mother already told her he is one of the sons of a general in the Emperor's palace which is really a good thing for her and her family.

To her, life is just about enjoyment and benefits, that was just what she learnt from her mother. "That woman really hurt you hard in your cheeks, it looks boiled. Thanks to her you won't be able to come down with me and calm me down when I'm not calm."

The more her daughter spoke, the more agitated she became. Her husband said nothing about it even when she complained stylishly to him and her mother-in-law, they just acted like she wasn't there. "All of them would pay! I got publicly humiliated in front of all those petty workers and no one stood up to defend me!"

"And that useless brother of yours! Where is he?! If he is still sleeping I'll make sure he goes into an eternal one...

"Mother!... don't ruin my mood, okay?!" Chin Hwa knows her mother always talks a lot anytime she is angry and now that silly brother of hers is even making it worse but that doesn't mean she should say something about killing him.

Immediately Chin Bada reached Chin Ari and Chin Won's room, she locked the door and sat her daughter down on the couch.

"I'm thinking we should leave, staying here would only put you into more trouble with them.They never liked you from the start and I think they are planning something bad against you." Chin Bada was so worried she was almost losing control.

She was more like an overprotective mother that wouldn't let anyone harm even a single hair on her children's head. Why are they so bent on the fact that Chi Ari isn't her daughter?!

Chin Ari sighed and looked at her mother gently before patting her back so she would calm down. "You know I'll always stand by you in any decision you make. But think of it this time, we just got here and you spent almost all of your life savings on this trip, let's stay a little longer and in the meantime we find something to do to gather money for survival before we leave."

Chin Bada clearly understood her daughter's point of view and understands her point as well. Leaving now would only be a great disadvantage to them and it would affect them greatly so the best thing is to persevere.

"The only thing we can do now is to find a job somewhere." Chin Ari stated her solution and Chin Bada nodded in agreement.

This was how things had been for years,always planning on how to sustain their life. They wreck in poverty and no one is willing to accept them and help them, not even their half accepted family.

"When should we start that?" Chin Bada asked. Right now she is ready to follow everything Chin Ari says.

"It's not too late now, after all, it's just morning and kind of still early too so let's quickly head out now and find somewhere to work." Chin Ari said.

Even she was completely tired of this place. It's not even up to twenty four hours yet and these people have successfully laid a strong and great foundation of misery for her.

Chin Bada glanced worriedly at Chin Sun who was sleeping soundly. "We should be back in no time...but ..I don't trust them but,let me just wake her up." Chin Ari immediately nodded in agreement.

Not too long after they left, the groom's family arrived. Chin Hun already applied enough makeup to cover her bruised face and to look presentable to the groom's family. After all, the groom's family is a family with a high status in the empire as well.

The man is roughly related to the Kwan family but still their status in the empire is that of a league. The fact that their daughter is considered a path of a choice is one of a kind. No matter what, they must leave a very good impression on the groom's family.

"Your daughter is really pretty....I hope it reflects in her character as well." Madam Kwan obviously didn't like the family her husband chose for their last son.

Chin Hun hid her discontent and covered it up with a sincere smile. "She really is a good girl and she knows how to do so much handy work. She's really talented....Hwa su." Chin Hun called her daughter so she would speak for herself.

Before the young girl could say anything, Madam Kwan interrupted coldly but in a more calm and gentle way, sending chills down their spine. "We aren't looking for a house maid, Madam Chin, we are here for a suitable and elegant daughter in law, good enough to blend in with our status."

Chin Hyuk, Chin Hun and Chin Hwa all had sour expressions on their faces after she said that. Chin Sun seemed less concerned with the whole scene, he sat comfortably, cross legged.

Kwan Jing-yu, the last son of the Kwans' couldn't take his eyes off the beauty his parents found for him. He suddenly developed some feelings towards her, she looked innocent and decent.

"Mother, being cold won't help. I sincerely apologize on my mother's behalf." Kwan Jing-yu said politely. The Chin's were content with the young man's apology so they accepted it and let it slide.

"No, it's nothing. Your mother is right but be rest assured. My Chin Hwa-su is exceptional and different from the others." Chin Hyuk spoke up this time.

The head of the Kwans present there as well was content with the girl immediately he saw her, he felt his son made a good choice. Such a girl would be suitable for a good granddaughter- in-law.

Madam Kwan suddenly smiled slyly. She looked at her tea cup elegantly and took a sip from it before facing Chin Hyuk. "I heard that your elder brother's eldest daughter is here as well.."
