Ashim Sarutobi P.O.V

Only a week is left till the academy starts and Mikoto and I have been training every day. As we are getting stronger and stronger, her demeanor is starting to change and she is becoming more and more mature.

She still wants to leave the village and she works hard for it, but she is not that naive little girl anymore, though she still has ways to go.

Mikoto completed her mindscape training a few months ago and now she is trying to mimic the most abundant chemical in the dust particles, silicon dioxide. The reason is simple. She has fire and earth affinity.

I could let her mimic just Silicon or oxygen, but earth is different from air. While air is mostly comprised of pure elements in their stable forms, ground is comprised of several chemicals and minerals.

Just by controlling a base element, like oxygen, it was not possible to control water as well, since the oxygen molecule would separate from water molecule if attempted.

I envy her a lot. Rather, I should say that I envy her sharingan a lot. Not to mention that it is much easier for her to mimic chakra than me, she even steals all my well thought out taijutsu moves and it is getting harder and harder to defeat her during training.

Currently, I am standing opposite to Mikoto in a clearing inside the park. We are about to spar.

Third Person P.O.V

Mikoto and Ashim were standing ten meters apart.

Ashim picked up a stone and threw it in the air.

As the stone traveled in the air, they both got ready to fight while watching each other closely.

Then, as the stone hit the ground in front of them. ---SFX:"Dest.!"(sound of stone hitting the ground)

They both moved at the same time.

Ashim started to do hand signs while Mikoto ran towards him. Her one tomoe sharingan was active.

When she was about two meters away, she drew a kunai in her right hand and Ashim raised his left hand while simultaneously putting his right hand inside his ninja pack which was tied around his waist, on the back side.

"Lightning ball jutsu"

As Mikoto paused and switched the kunai from her right hand to her left hand, a bright ball of lightning was released towards her.

She tried to doge it by putting her left foot forward and sidestepping as she intended to strike Ashim with her kunai at the same time as he was within her reach, but the ball paused and took a ninety degree turn and came towards her from the right as soon as she got out of it's way.

Mikoto ducked while taking her left leg back.

It took many words to describe but it happened in less than a second.

Meanwhile, Ashim drew two kunais from his ninja pack and threw one at Mikoto's head while simultaneously taking a step to her right side.

Mikoto was now in a difficult position and the distance between them was very small when he threw that kunai at her.

As she was already crouching, she couldn't shift her head as the kunai would then strike her shoulder, near the neck area. She couldn't block it with the kunai in her left hand either, as it was just too fast.

She shifted her head backwards while simultaneously leaning towards her right.

As the kunai went past her head, she putted her right hand on the ground and lifted both her legs from the ground while simultaneously giving a kick to Ashim's right shoulder with her left leg.

As the kick approached, Ashim ducked while simultaneously grabbing her right leg which was below her left leg and tossing the second kunai that was in his right hand, towards the back side of her head, right below the left ear.

As the kunai approached, she blocked it with the kunai in her left hand by swinging it backwards, but this is exactly what Ashim wanted. ---SFX:"Tinnn.!"(sound of kunai blocking)

He twisted her right ankle in a weird angle with both his hands as she started to lose balance.

As a sharp pain overcame her, Mikoto did a final attempt as a small amount of white sand got out of the ground and got into Ashim's eyes. He immediately let go of her ankle and covered his eyes with both hands.

He was startled as he had no idea where the sand came from.

Before he could yell, 'I give up', she got up and punched him in the face with all her strength.

---SFX:"Thuuho.!"(sound of punch hitting the face)

"I give up.! I give up. God.. Damn it.! It hurts." Ashim screamed while rolling on the ground.

He was bleeding from the nose as his nose was probably broken.

As Mikoto got more and more used to her sharingan, it was getting more and more difficult to defeat her in a head on fight, so he had to try and limit her movements like he did just now.

Unfortunately, he wasn't expecting her to use that white sand. Judging by the fact that it didn't require hand signs, it was probably silicon dioxide.

After realizing that, Ashim was even more pissed as compare to Mikoto, his training with oxygen was going nowhere. It was like comparing a slow moving turtle to a greyhound race dog.

Mikoto on the other hand had a dumbfounded expression on her face as she looked at him.

"I thought you would doge that."

Then, her expression changes to one of excitement.

"Ha ha ha ha...! I finally beat you.! Yay.!!" Then, she started yelling and jumping around. It was the first time she beat him, after all.

After a few minutes, they both calmed down.

Ashim was sitting on a bench with his head tilted backwards while trying to stop the bleeding. He was wiping the blood every now and then and waiting for the wound to clot.

Mikoto was sitting alongside him.

"Hey.! I am sorry for not telling you about the white sand. ok.!? Don't be such a crybaby.! How about we go to my house and I fix your nose.!?" Mikoto suddenly spoke.

SFX---*Sigh*

"Ok.!" Said Ashim, with a defeated face. He didn't want to argue with her anymore.
