Chapter 18_ " Desperate"

The man finally looked at the girl beside him, he had felt her gaze on him earlier but why did it feel like she became moodier after looking at him. Just now when he had taken her into his car, he didn't know where she wanted to go and had his driver take them to a quiet park. He was supposed to be at a very important meeting but here he was nursing a sad girl. Just now when she had been frantically hitting his car, when he had stared into her scared eyes he had felt something stab at his heart. If it were to be some other girl he wouldn't give a damn about them and would have probably taken their actions for an act. So what was it about her that made him change his mind? When he had seen how miserable she looked on the ground begging desperately to be saved he felt extremely angry and was shocked at his emotions. That man and his bodyguards were going to see the worst days of their lives in the coming weeks. He would make them think twice before hurting a woman ever. His eyes turned colder with this thought and his bodyguards in front felt the chilling aura from him. His thoughts went to the girl by his side, when she had hugged him he suddenly felt a strong urge to protect her, to keep her with him and was surprised that he liked the feeling of it. It was no news to the people around him how much he despised closeness with the opposite sex. That could explain the shocked look on his men's faces when they saw her in his embrace. Their master who was as cold and distant as the top of Mount Everest was suddenly comforting a woman in his arms like a pro. They felt the world was probably coming to an end. The girl by his side was simply intriguing, He wondered how she had gotten herself into so much trouble. As he watched her he couldn't help but notice how lost and defeated she looked. Soon the car came to a halt by a beautiful park. The street lights and garden lamps illuminated the place. The trees, flowers, and trimmed grasses gave it a blissful feeling. It was a feeling that was in opposition to what Sophia felt. She hadn't even noticed that the car had stopped, the man suddenly spoke, "Do you want to go home now?". Sophia instantly came out of her reverie, his deep voice awakened her senses and she immediately panicked. Noticing her behaviors the man couldn't help but frown, " Had he said something to agitate her?". " But to Sophia, she wasn't even considering her actions, "No!, she half screamed as she turned to look at the godlike man by her side. " I can't go home", what home? she chuckled depressingly as her tears came pouring down again. Her mother was about to leave her in a few hours if she failed to come up with the money. How would she face herself if the worst were to happen? How could she call that place home? She had to do something and that as soon as possible. "Please help me! Please you have to help me!", she cried frantically and desperately held on to her falling dress. The bodyguard in front of the car became alert and frowned at the woman's actions. He wondered why his master had let her come with them, even the driver felt the same but they couldn't make a move without their boss's signal. " I will do anything, please just help me, I beg you", Sophia cried as she looked into his cold and furious eyes with helpless eyes.
