Luo Yu surveyed the scorched clearing, noting the demolished killing arrays. He couldn't find his victim, but he wasn't surprised. Given the magnitude of his attack, the trash would have been disintegrated by all that lightning anyway.

"Hmph," he snorted, and then he turned to the surviving twenty or so of his subordinates. He couldn't believe it himself. From a battalion of two hundred cultivators, only ten percent had survived. If he hadn't personally witnessed the corpses of the Luo Clan retainers lying sprawled all over the forest, he would have thought the whole thing was some sick joke.

However, now wasn't the time to be simultaneously impressed and appalled by his prey.

"Those were just illusions, you fools!" He snapped at the cringing Luo Clan retainers, his fury manifesting in purple lightning. "How did you get deceived by a mere brat?"
