Why Are You Shadows?

Dreamer: Fredrick (Censored For Privacy)

Fredrick Notes:

I wasn't sure why I had these dreams, I probably was just paranoid as a kid though.

Dream One:

I was in the main hallway of our house. My family was preparing for something, I think we were going somewhere. However my parents and siblings were all shadows. I couldn't hear what they were saying, but I could make out that they were struggling to buckle the kid's seat for my youngest sibling.

I grew bored of waiting and walked a little away. It was a small distance, not even a yard. When I turned around my family was gone, not a sign of where they were.

I panicked but assumed they forgot me. So I went to the front door to catch them as they entered the car. However I was pulled violently, by a force I couldn't see. I was shoved into the small kid's seat and buckled in. Then I was thrown across the room, sliding on the floor. Before I hit the wall I awoke, terrified.

-End of dream one.

Interviewer:

Anything odd you noticed?

Fredrick:

It has been a long while, the main thing that stood out to me was the fact they were shadows. However dreaming me didn't seem to be concerned.

Interviewer:

Is this the only dream you had of this incident?

Fredrick:

I can remember one more, I am not sure if there is any more though.

Final Dream:

I was further into the house this time. My family was once again getting ready for something. Silly me wanted to test to see if they disappeared if they left my vision temporarily. So I did a little spin, but they were still there.

I should have left it at that, but I did another. This time slower. Alas when I looked again, they were gone. And the force came back.

I was gripped and pulled upstairs. Our house had a set of stairs that lead into a small hallway, with rooms on the sides of it. I was thrown into the wall at the end of the hallway. When I fell down I was in the kid's seat again. This time I wasn't buckled, but for fear of being thrown again I buckled myself in.

When I did the kid's seat was pushed violently. I sped down the hallway and down the stairs. However at the turn of the stairs I almost crashed into the wall, I would have if I didn't wake up.

-End of final dream.

Interviewer:

And you haven't had a dream similar to this again?

Fredrick:

If I have then I have forgotten, these particular ones remained in my head though.

Interviewer Notes:

I looked into this situation, one thing I noticed was that around the same time as Fredrick claimed to have these dreams, the family moved out.

Did Fredrick subconsciously hear this conversation? Did his mind make him grow terrified of the house, to make him not scared to move?

Might be looking too into this, but I have one thought.
