Chapter 27

Kelly was resting when she suddenly got a call from the producers of her film.

Producers: Miss Clarkson?

Kelly: Yes this is her.

Producers: We are really sorry for bothering you but today is the day of script reading. So, can you please join us to see if the actors live up to your expectations?

Kelly: Of course. Can you message me the address and I'll be there in 30 minutes.

Producers: Will do. Have a good day.

Producers: You too.

The call ended and after 5 minutes the producers texted her the address. Kelly quickly dressed up in a black pencil skirt with a white collar top. She fixed her short hair in a half bun then applied a little make up and left her home. She reached the place and when she walked inside the room the producers greeted her with a warm smile and so did the actors. The script began without any further delay. Kelly was intently listening to the actors tone when they delivered their dialogues and she was impressed by the way they acted even though they were fresh faces in the industry.

The reading lasted for 3 to 4 hours and when they were finally done, the producers asked Kelly if she liked the actors, to which she replied, " Absolutely! They are really talented and it's not like we can change the actors or anything." "Yes we can. The cast has not been introduced to the public yet so if you don't like them you can just say and we will be sure to find someone who meets your standards." "No! They are perfect for the roles. To be honest I was really mesmerized with the precision and tone they said their dialogues with." "When we first tried to convince you to make a movie out of your book, we thought you would be really picky since you demanded so many things." "Well it was because I didn't want it to become a movie but yes, I am really picky. And these actors are the best fit for my characters." "Well since we're done you want to chat with the actors?" "Sure." Kelly smiled at the actors and then began. "Hello! My name is Kelly and I'm the author of 'THE YOUNGER US'. Nice to meet you all." "We already know you since you're really popular right now. And personally I'm a fan of your book." The girl who was playing Kayla's character replied with a sweet smile. "Really?" "Yes. I was even at your book release." "Aww that's really sweet of you. If you don't mind, can you introduce yourself?" "Introduce?" "Yeah. It doesn't has to be formal, you can say anything." "Okay. My name is Evelyn Beckham. I'm 18 years old and I like to read during my free times. I'm a Scorpio and I really love small fury animals. And I really love chocolates." "Evelyn? That's a really pretty name and you're really energetic too. I like you." "The feelings mutual." "Hehe...so can the two guys introduce themselves?" Kelly looked at the two guys who looked so unreal. They were so handsome but cute at the same time which reminded her of those two idiots her sister was talking about. The boy who was playing as Parker began, "Hey! I'm Ethan Hale and I've just recently turned 19." "That's it?" "Yes." "Oh okay. So do you like the character that you're portraying?" Kelly asked. "Actually I originally auditioned for Cosmos' role but the producers said that my personality would be more fit for Parker's." "And I can see why? It's because you talk less but when you do it's straight to the point. Anyways it's really nice to meet you." "Me too."

Kelly then turned to the last guy who would play as Cosmos. "Haloo! My name is Noah Foxhole and I'm 18. I like playing games and watching movies. I'm a cancer. And I really enjoyed your book. Well the quality of the book can't be argued since the writer of the book is so beautiful. I really look forward to working with you all." "Nice to meet you Noah. Thank you for the compliment. The producers have a really good eye when it comes to casting, the three of you are really interesting people. And since the three of you have read my book, can you say which character attracted you the most?" Evelyn went first, "I liked Kayla because I think I can relate to her emotionally as a teenage girl. She's been through so many things that teenage girls still go through today. To put in simple words, she feels like a part of me." "Evelyn you're really good at expressing your thoughts. What about you Ethan?" "I liked Cosmos because he is open with his feelings and always stood by his friends side. He is a goofball that's liked by everyone." "I liked Parker more." Noah began. " And why's that?" Kelly asked him. "Because even though he rarely spoke, he always seemed genuine to me. And when he comforts Kayla, I can see that he really loves her and is willing to do anything for her. He has tons of love inside him but the only problem is he can't express it most of the time."

The reading ended and Kelly was back at her home. She was contemplating about what Noah had said. She was busy in her thoughts when her phone started ringing. It was her sister again.

Kelly: Cindy if it's about those two dumbos again then I swear I'll stop talking to you too. Why are you always talking about them when you should be asking about my wellbeing. You're so mean, you know that right? Right? Seriously you won't even talk to me now? Fine I'm sorry I shouldn't have ignored your text in the morning but you just wouldn't stop babbling about those two idiots. Okay? Hey! If you're not going to talk then I'm ending the call...Okay then bye! I won't talk to you too.

Cindy: Yo K! You're still so feisty. It's been so long since I last saw you. How are you?
