Chapter 6

Nash woke up when it's almost dinnertime. After a long sleep, she felt energized. She continued to jump up and down till she was satisfied.

When she heard a knock on the door, she came to a halt. She opens the door before the maid does since she is near it.

"Princess! You should be resting! You're still unwell," the head maid Rosa touched her forehead, "It's gone..."

"Tadah! I'm not sick anymore!" Nash exclaimed, leaping up and down. "Are they having dinner?"

"Yes," Nash snatched up her meal tray and dashed inside the dining room.

"Wait a minute, Princess! Allow me to be the one who carries it!"

"I've got this! Don't worry!" She continued to run towards the dining hall as she spoke.

"Young princess Nashtassia is entering..." the guard announced and opened the door.

She takes a seat next to her sister Celeste and sets her tray down. "I apologize for being late."

As they kept an eye on Nash who sat alongside Celeste, the room fell silent.

"You're sick," Daniel breaks the silence.

"Not anymore."

...

"Dessert! I want more!" The dessert is chocolate ice cream, but Ivelisse warned Nash not to eat too much as she had been sick earlier.

"No," Ivelisse replied solemnly.

Nash let out a sigh.

"Okay," Nash set her dessert spoon down and wiped her mouth. "I'll be the first to leave. Please pardon me."

While walking in the hallway she noticed a maid passing by so she stopped her, "Do you have something to ask, princess?"

"Can you tell me what day it is today?"

"It's Friday today, Princess."

'Yes! I'm right!'

"All right! Thank you!" She dashed to her bedroom and shut the new door behind her.

Every Friday through Sunday, there is a night market in the capital and in towns.

She glanced around for her cloak, but it was nowhere to be found.

'I can't ask the butler or the head maid. I'm pretty sure they'll inform dad.'

She strolled silently towards the maid's quarters. She discovered the maid who had assisted her yesterday while having a bath.

"There she is!" she quietly exclaimed. As she approached her, her face was filled with delight, but it quickly vanished when another maid shoved her down.

"Hey... what do you think you're doing?" She asked the maid who pushed her. "That's my maid you just pushed. This kind of attitude is not tolerated here, you know?"

Nash couldn't help but push the maid against the wall, almost attempting to strangle her but she stopped herself and just pushed her in the chest instead.

"I...I...Please accept my apologies, princess. I won't do it again! Please, I beg of you! My mother is ill and requires medical treatment! I can't afford to lose my job!"

"Then you shouldn't have done this in the first place," The maid is shivering with fear.

"Nash," she looked to her side and saw Vincenzo. "Let go,"

She then released her, and the maid took a deep breath.

"Tsk. There will be no second chance, miss."

"Y...yes, princess," The maid immediately walked away leaving Nash and the poor maid alone.

"And, miss maid..." she assisted the maid in standing. "Please assist me in taking a bath."

She used that as an excuse because her brother was still around.

"Let's go," Nash follows her brother while the maid is following Nash.

...

As soon as they head to Nash's room, she immediately questioned the maid, "Have you seen my cloak?"

"It was previously torched by the head maid."

"Wait, what? No way!"

"I apologize, princess. Princess Celeste was the one who gave the order."

"No... It's not your fault. You are free to leave now, thank you."

"Thank you, princess. If you require assistance, please call for me."

"What is your name, miss maid?"

"It is Bea,"

"Miss Bea, don't bring up the fact that I'm looking for a cloak."

"As you wish, Princess," She then exited the room after bowing.

Nash let out a sigh. Maybe it's fine to go out without a cloak since the people don't know me. 'Hah! I'm so smart.'

The night market opened at 11pm. And since it's just 9:30pm., she has plenty of time to prepare.

...

10:50pm.

'Everything is ready!'

She's carrying a bag and a small sheet of paper that contains a list of items she will purchase. She opened her windows and jumped without hesitation. Before landing, she uses her gravitational ability to slow down. She crouches behind a tree, waiting for the patrolling knights to pass.

"Yes! Here I go!" She whispered and was about to jump to the walls when she heard a voice behind her.

"And where do you think you're going, young lady?"

"Shit," she automatically said out loud but immediately regretted it after facing the one who saw her sneaking.

'Of all people? Why does it have to be father!?'

"Well hehe... I was planning on buying some trousers and maybe a wooden sword?"

"You do realize you just got over a fever, right?" Roven stood in front of her, his brows furrowed.

"I'm fine already. Don't worry, I've got a powerful physique!"

"Really? With that slender frame of yours?"

"It's not my fault that I'm skinny! I do eat a lot and yet I don't gain any weight!"

'Grr... Father is wasting my time!'

"Come on, just this once!" She begged.

"Bring a guard,"

"No! They're too eye-catching! I just want to shop for some trousers for tomorrow!"

"Then let me go with you," Roven responded decisively.

"No! For the highest sake, you're the emperor! I'm capable of going on my own! I've been going in and out of this castle since I don't know, so, I know where to go"

"Do you have any money at all?" Nash came to a halt..

"Oh... right" Nash knocked her head in disbelief.

'What the hell, Nash!?'

"Hehe... I'll have a guard with me, just lend me some money, father," she says with a smile, as if she didn't refuse her father's offer.

"I'll go with you. Let's go."

"You can't!" After Nash said that, Roven changed his appearance. Nash was astounded at how awesome her father is. "Shit! You should have done that sooner!"

"Stop saying 'shit',"

Nash grumbled, "But that's the first word I've learned."

Roven scowled; he couldn't say anything to that as he was the reason why that was Nash's first word.

They went shopping for trousers and training clothes together. She also purchased several wooden swords and some empty magic stones that could be filled with magic. They also purchased different kinds of foods.

"By the way dad, does mom know that you're here with me?"

Roven came to a halt. "Oh..."

"You're dead," she laughed.

...

"Eh? Where is Roven?" Ivelisse searched in every room she expected Roven might be staying in. Ivelisse repressed her rage.

"The next time that husband of mine does this, I'm going to seal him next to me," she remarked evily.

...

The next day...

She got up early in the morning to work out and train.

I only have about five months to train.

She's training by herself using a wooden sword and a dummy. She also made improvements to her footwork.

"You have some nice footwork, princess" She looked at the knight who was speaking.

"Sir Benj!" She dashed over to the knight.

Benj is one of the unit leaders in White knights as well as Nash's former trainer. He showed Nash how to use a sword and perform basic attacks.

"You have a nice stance there as well. Prince Vicor sure is an awesome knight."

"Hah! I'm so cool right!?" She smirked as she tried to show off.

'I think I have a nice stance and footwork because I joined a dance club before and even joined boxing training. Even my acting skills the other day, I learned it after joining a club.'

"Yes yes... I heard you've decided to join the knights. You should do your best, princess" Nash grinned.

"I know, that's why I'm putting in my best effort here."

She continued to train until the sun went down. She eats lunch at the same time as her family, but eventually leaves after eating. She doesn't even care if the food in her stomach is fully digested.

...

She also learnt to ride a horse and had a duel with sir Benj on occasion.

The emperor and his wife are simply observing from afar.

"She appeared to be having a good time," Ivelisse observed.

"She is," Roven said.

...

After almost 5 months of training, the knight entrance ceremony begins...
