Unknown Dangers

Elsewhere in a dimly lit hall, eight figures were sitting around a grand circular table. These figures wore long robes that covered most of their features and the dim-lit room didn't help in identifying who they were or what they looked like.

The hall was massive, however, due to the lack of light everything was absent in their surrounding, these figures looked like they were in a void.

One of the figures stands and speaks in an alien language, "As the Fourth Advisor, I suggest not letting those little things get away with using our resources. We paid a fair amount of Spirit Stones for them. We can't allow them to grow. We should send our cultivators to wipe them out. hmph!"

His voice was rough and deep which went well with his harsh comment and nasty attitude. There wasn't much movement from the robe around his body when speaking even though it almost sounded like he was yelling.

Another robed figure stands up and speaks," I object! As the Seventh Advisor, I disagree. Although we can't let them get away with taking our resources we should use them for something more beneficial! Enslave them!

As this robbed figure finished his yelling, a third figure stood almost instantly, "No! As the Second Advisor, I can't allow our race to go into a world we barely know enough about. Do we know who or what took down our cargo ship? Do we know if that planet named Earth has a backer? Why was their World Qi sealed? There are too many mysteries for us to unfold. Before then we should be cautious. I suggest sending in a catastrophe as the cheapest one should be able to take down their most powerful cultivators. We need to take advantage of the fact that they are new to this world of the cultivation and if not take them out, control them."

After the figure spoke there was a long silence until the Fourth Advisor spoke in disagreement, "You want us to spend our limited supply of spirit stones to buy a catastrophe that we are unsure on the effectiveness of? Besides, transporting it to their system would take almost a year. At that point, with the cheapest catastrophe, who says they won't be able to defend against it?"

There were a few snickers and laughs here and there as the thought of humans becoming more powerful almost seemed too laughable.

The Seventh Advisor spoke once again, "For a race that was just introduced to cultivation, I have my doubts of them becoming anything special. They will end up like the Ellithians and die off. This world is difficult to thrive in, it took our race hundreds of years to be recognized in this cluster of systems, and we were almost wiped out several times. However, there indeed is a very small chance of their survival, therefore, I suggest sending pirates."

There were a few murmurs here and there.

"Hear me out. Yes, just like the catastrophe, it might take a year or so for them to get to Earth's system, however, once they do get there they should be completely able to pose a danger and do enough damage to them where we can just swoop in and take all of their resources,.. And them as slaves…"

Murmurs continued throughout the hall as a taller figure who wore a lighter colored robe stood up. "As the First Advisor, I hear all of your concerns, however, I feel that posting a notice and letting pirates do the hard work for us, might be beneficial. We can watch from the sidelines and learn more of their secrets and prepare ourselves even more. Let's not get carried away and complacent. Post the notice and see if any pirates are interested. If so, let's commence with this plan. In addition, let us spend some resources to send over spying devices to monitor these beings."

The advisors who sat on the round table nodded and proceeded to discuss other issues.

On another planet, on a recently constructed island and inside of a spacious living room sat three individuals with serious faces.

These were Lester, Patrick, and The Holyman. They were currently discussing the future as they had almost lost one of their group mates. The Hair Witch was currently in a coma and being treated by the Cultivation Island they were unsure when or if she would ever wake up.

Understanding the situation and receiving a reality check on how powerful beasts on Earth were getting, there was a hint of worry with plenty of motivation to grow and protect their homeland.

"This is the time for growth, and we should be putting in full effort into improving and becoming stronger. If we slack once, we as protectors of this world that have birthed us will be completely wiped out. One beast posed a threat to us and left us in such a state…" The Holy man said as he leaned forward from the couch he was sitting on.

There was a centerpiece coffee table between the three of them. Their eyes were serious and Lester was well aware of how grave the situation was for humans.

Cultivation was both a blessing and a curse for humans. It allowed humans to advance and gain powers previously believed to be only found in fairytales.

"We know what we must do, being here like this will only waste our time. I believe that both of you should train hard and improve as fast as you can. Tomorrow I will impart to you two techniques that should be beneficial to you, as not only do they complement your cultivation techniques but it enhances them as well. In the next month or two, I will be in closed-door cultivation, trying to improve, and afterward, I will take on some solo missions to temper myself. Our progressions are different so take your time in cultivation and comprehension of your techniques." Lester said as he took a deep breath.

Patrick and The Holyman understood this completely and they were even more excited for the techniques they might receive. Patrick had reached a stage in his cultivation where he was progressing a little slower, however, his growth in the past month has been phenomenal.

The Holyman was also making slight progress with his cultivation technique as Lester could tell he wouldn't take too long to reach the Middle Stage Cultivator, and at that point, he would have already mastered one technique from his cultivation book.

There was excitement in both of their eyes, however, one expression they were unable to hide was bewilderment, as they couldn't believe how many secrets Lester possessed. He just kept surprising them left and right.

Their ranking in the cultivation island had skyrocketed into the seven hundred, and this allowed them to take harder and better missions, therefore, they needed to get stronger.

Lester then continued but kept it short this time, "Work hard, and become strong!"

The other two nodded as they looked towards Lester walking into his room. There was fire lit inside of them and they were ready to use it to power through cultivation.
