Chapter 39 - Dr*gs Aren't A Bad Thing!

Location: 126 street - 24 exit

126 street runs through the city, however, the area near the 24th exit is still barren with almost no buildings or population.

There are only some stop services for cars driving along 126 street at a distance.

Every now and then a car will pass by this exit but nobody would stop here.

However, today this is about to change. Two fast 4x4 cars came along the 126 street, and upon reaching the exit they pressed the brakes heavily.

*shiiikk* *shiiikk*

Two skid marks were left on the street, as the two cars stopped, the driver's window of the first car was lowered, causing the other car to lower their windows.

The driver of the first car, a middle-aged man in his forties with a scar under his lower lips, looked at the other car and said,

"You three, drive to the side road, and put the car there on standby, when we see the truck, we will drive to the middle of the road to cut their way."

The man sitting on the front passenger seat in the next car couldn't help but ask,

"Boss! Why don't we just block the road now!?"

The other two men in the car echoed,

"Yes boss! Isn't it better to cut their way beforehand?"

"I agree boss!"

If this was a cartoon, you would see black lines appearing on the boss's forehead one by one, increasing as he keeps on listening.

Then couldn't take it anymore and cursed,

"You bunch of m*rons! Even if this road doesn't have much traffic, if we block the road now, 20 to 50 cars will be stuck here before the fuel truck arrives."

"What if we stop someone we couldn't afford to mess with or others with the same business as us!?"

"You don't have to be smart in our business, but you shouldn't be stupid if you want to keep your life, do you understand!?"

After being scolded the three people in the second car didn't squabble but didn't look like they care, they give the boss some face and yelled,

"Yess boss!"

Seeing the look on the three faces, the boss knew that they are a lost cause so he didn't bother with them and just ordered,

"You take the left side of the road, we will take the right one. Keep the walkie-talkie on all the time."

Then he drove to the right side and let the car climb the sidewalk to wasteland on the side.

"Boss, why did we start robbing on the road like bandits? We usually only collect debt money from people."

Sitting on the passenger seat beside the boss, a young man in his twenties asked curiously,

"Yes boss! Although our work is not legal, it isn't our style to do things in broad daylight like this."

Another young man sitting on the backseat piqued.

The boss looked at the young man in the back seat through the mirror and scolded,

"What do you mean by saying our work isn't legal!? Even if we collect money according to the law. only if they don't pay do we have to rough them up a little bit."

The young man in the back looked confused, then asked puzzlingly,

"But aren't we drug dealers?"

Hearing this, the boss looked speechless for some time, then said convincingly,

"What is wrong with drugs? We sell them to make people's lives more colorful, full of happiness, like anti-depression medicine."

"Just because it isn't legal doesn't mean it's a bad thing."

It was the two young men who were speechless this time. I would rather believe in ghosts than believe your nonsense!

The boss ignored them and said,

"The 'customer' this time is one of our big fat sheep, the boss accepted his payment as a form of information this time. The truck holds 21 thousand dollars worth of fuel, double the amount of payment."

The young man at the front asked,

"What about the people?"

He meant the owners of the truck.

"What do you care, just wave a stick at them and they will be scared away. If that doesn't work I have this"

The boss then took a gun from his side hostler to make a point.

"But boss! Only you have a gun, you pulled us too quickly, we didn't have to grab ours from the headquarters."

The young man at the back complained.

"What does it have to do with me? The truck will be here at any minute. If we didn't get here fast enough we would get nothing."

"Now keep your eyes on the road for me, I don't want to miss the truck because we were distracted."

At the same time, these gangsters were laying an 'ambush', we hooped back in on the road.

Though we were a little bit nervous, we still had to pass by.

"Do you think it's going to be okay?"

Salem asked while pretending to be calm.

"Hmm? What did you say? I wasn't paying attention."

My mind wasn't online at that moment, I was focusing on the statues screens, trying to see if there is anything else I have missed.

Unfortunately, nothing new came up, then I tried to appraise other things but to no avail.

Saleem looked at me and asked sarcastically,

"Wasn't paying attention or are you scared?"

Giving him a side glance, I say,

"Said the one peeing his pants."

Hearing that, Salem hurriedly put his hand on his crotch nervously, only to find it dry. He then looked at my smirking face and cursed.

"F*ck You!"

"Hehehe!"

"Hahaha!"

The sound of laughter came from the phone, both Adam and Walid were laughing at him.

"Okay! We are about to reach the exit, get ready."

The end of the avenue we are in can be seen from here, though nothing is clear yet.

*klak* *klak*

The sound of the pistol slide being pulled echoed, and the guns were loaded.

"Remember to shoot at the wheels first, unless necessary don't shoot killing shots."

While reminding them I took a deep breath to calm myself down. There is no need to worry about accuracy, however, this is the first time shooting at a human, so I'm not sure how we would perform.

"We are here!"

Salem suddenly yelled.

Looking forward, the exit appeared 400m in front of us. There is only one car exiting from here ahead of us.

Looking at both sides of the road, my forehead throbbed.

My eyes widened upon seeing the two new screens, then I did not hesitate.

"The two Rango Rovers on both sides of the road! Ready yo shoot!"

I Said as I pulled the pistol in my hand and lowered the car window, letting the hot air hit my face.

Strangely, the closer we get, the calmer I become.

On the other side, the boss with a scar on his lower lip noticed the fuel truck coming toward the exit, so he yelled to the walkie-talkie.

"Get ready! It's coming! Cut their way quickly, don't let them pass us and turn into a car chase."

"Yes boss!"

Came the reply from the walkie-talkie.

Just as they were about to start moving.
