the first journey ever

mai , a 7 years old girl, She and her family had to move to the mountainous area ,the place was beautiful and surrounded by mountains, there was a big waterfall too , mai spend her Time mostly playing with toys and hearing stories about mythical creatures and beasts. mai was very curious if they were real or not, one time while her mom telling her stories ,she asked her mom are the mythical beasts real or not , and her mom replied gently" if they were this world already would have make them their objects, this world isn't safe for them and that's the reason why they don't exist." mai was kind of feel upset because they are not real, every night she wish they were real ,she kept wishing this until one night ,when she was about to go to sleep ,something glowing went through her room to outside and went towards the forest, mai suddenly went towards the window and see that glowing thing was in the forest , she was curious what it was so she went outside with her pet dog 🐕 , once she reach the edge of the forest she saw that the glowing thing was moving deep in forest , mai was afraid to go deep in the forest in middle of the night but then her dog suddenly started running deep in forest dragging mai with him. mai kept trying to go back with the dog but then she saw the glowing thing was near and once she reached the glowing thing she saw it was a very small human like figure with wings and a tail , it was like a fairy or pixie from those stories her mom used to her her. mai saw the pixie was covered in spider webs and was unable to move , then she remove the web from her. the pixie was scared by seeing mai who was much bigger than itself but then pixie tried to run away because it was scared and then the dog also started dragging mai to where pixie was going , mai kept shouting and tried forcing the dog to go back home but he didn't listened and just kept following the pixie , then later on mai saw their was a cave where the pixie went, mai was afraid but her silly dog dragged her inside the cave as well , mai kept walking with her dog , it kept getting darker as she went inside more, then suddenly she saw a opening with light coming from , as she went out of the cave she saw a huge open space which was like a glassland and there were many different type of species wandering , those species were like the mythical creatures and beasts from the stories , as mai kept going ,her dog suddenly started running towards the cliff , as the dog stopped near the cliff ,mai saw a huge city in front of her , the city looked like that of Viking settlements and there were people wandering too , she then thought she should go home but then the opening of the cave where she came from got closed and because of that mai was much worried and scared because the place was not familiar to her and it was strange place , she thought it would be better to went to the city she saw, maybe people there can help her . as mai went down the cliff she saw a a group of people were coming towards her , those people were scary looking and we're armed with weapons like axes and swords and much more , mai was afraid so she tried to hide behind the rock and bushes , but then her dog suddenly started barking at the group , she was caught by them, the strange people were speaking in a different language and mai didn't understand them .then suddenly one guy from the group tried grabbing her hand and one guy grabbed her dog , mai screamed for help , then suddenly a from.above the cliff and figure jumped towards the group , the figure looked like a man , as the man interrupted the group ,he summoned a sword out from the air, it was like magic , mai was shocked , and then the man used some sort of magic which allowed her to speak their language, the man told the group to leave her alone and her dog too, but then the group refused , as they said they can sell the child to someone for good enough prize , hearing that the unknown man started attacking the group with his big huge sword , he moved with such speed no one could folow his movements , mai was surprised and then the unknown man defeated the group of people, the unknown man then checked on mai if she was fine . the man told her that these group of people were wild bandits wandering in this area ,after hearing that mai said thank you to the man and then asked what is this place. the man replied"this is the area which is owned by the lord of the city called whitestar and this place come under the. whitestar hold." hearing that mai was still stranger to the place. the unknown man then asked mai" what are you doing in a place like this?". mai then replied"I followed a glowing pixie and lost my way and then the entrance of the cave I came from got vanished." hearing that the man asked her to show the way to the cave and then mai took him to the cave entrance place , but when she reached there their was no cave only rocks and dirt. mai kept telling the man this was place she came from but cave vanished . then mai started crying because she miss her mom and wanted to go home after what happened here , the man tried to find remove the rocks to see if cave was blocked by the rock , but he didn't found any opening, so he told mai to stay in the city for few days while he will look for the cave she came from , mai then don't know what to do so she just said she will wait , then the man told her his name was ragnar . then mai and ragnar went to whitestar city to stay there .
