I had very high hopes starting this book...... long story short it was not up to par. The story is pretty interesting at first but thats it.... ive read up to chapter 150 and i am still not happy. There is no depth to the story and instead the story bounces all over the place and get dragged out way to long. It shouldn't take 5 chapters to describe one event that doesn't pertain to the main story arc. The word building is excellent and has a lot of potential, however its ruined by the low end story telling and if your looking for action, you'll find some every 25+ chapters.....

It's good so far, much less reliance on the chip than WMW and the MC is definitely shown as being more humane that Leylin (at the very least, he gets sick the first time he kills someone). The story is different enough from WMW so far for it to be enjoyable

I gotta say after like ch 300 ish i forced myself to finish this book and honestly the ending was a let down not gonna lie.... but at the same time it wasnt a bad read its hard to explain i guess for me, but just know dont focus on the time line it uses as that is useless as heck... but then again i never writen a book soooo yea.... Mixed feelings on this.

The main character is the most Stupid Person ever. literally only survives his own stupidity because of plot armor. Never have i ever read a novel with a Mc as stupid as this one. Really trying to keep reading it but he keeps getting dumber and dumber and not thinking about any consequences; even when a ridiculously powerful wizard says a place is extremely dangerous to them let alone the mc. He just walks in the place thinking ‘oh this will help me’ like no youre going to die zero questions asked you dumb f***. Honestly if you want to read a novel that makes you want to end the mc with your own hands over and over and over again give it a go but id really just recommend you to pass this novel. there are some parts that are enjoyable but most of what ive read after the first arc or two is just annoying stupid mc surviving bc of plot armor. He is degressing in almost every way and pretty much relies on the chip for everything. No longer enjoyable but ill keep reading and see if it gets better. Hopefully the author had a change of heart and it becomes a good story again.

The story has a great idea (the reason WotMW effective stole it) but the author is terrible. 1. Dialogue between characters is terrible, feels like what a 5 year old would say. 2. Author is inconstant with anything. Time to get somewhere? Changes Age of MC? Changes 3. The fights (chapter 84-88) horrible, the fight made no sense and was horribly written. 4. Zero logic and intelligence. Characters don’t act right at all. 4.1. The spells the MC chose were useless in the fight, yet he still manages a draw against a fully trained stage 3 apprentice... like how? The stun spell did nothing just filled space and the hand spell needs direct contact to work.... who is going to slap, with their hand, their opponent in a fight? 5. Pacing. The author has no idea how to properly pace the story, we spent like 10? 5? Chapters on the MAGIC SCHOOL. One of the most import parts of the story was massively rushed. 6. Poor translation/editing. The story has many grammatical errors in it, those may be accurate translations or the editor couldn’t be asked. This is bearable but along side poor dialogue and no logic the story’s got too painful to continue reading. Don’t bother with this, just read WotMW and be done with this plot.

Well if you already read Warlocks of the magus world don't read this. Disappointing MC, don't knoe how to choose spells and his intelligence well he doesn't have any so. This novel came first i know but WMW improved everything and made a badass protagonist so don't lose your time with this and read WMW.

I hate the drama the author must be a person who does not know morals or values at all? The dramas are wayy toooo immature and still need a bit of sense. I think the author is also immature.. But hey the world background is great. They should not focus on drama thing and focus on the character development..

Although the protagonist has a cheat like ability he does not feel overpowered most of the time and that is something hard to find in most of these kinds of stories 10/10

Great story. The updates are consistent. The MC is beset with set backs but overcomes them reminiscent of WMW but not as evil. The story and world is new and alien so much that the plot line is not as predictable. Read it for yourself.

It's a good novel to read, if u got the time, give it a try. The story goes around a boy who get's to learn magic and has a lot of adventures!

Nothing to complain other than updating stability... I found the story interesting, the translator and the editor did a good job. However, I'd appreciate if the release could follow the schedule... I understand people have personal issues, and sometimes the schedule needs to change, but can the operators at least make an announcement or something?

7 Chapters into this Medieval world I am confused about the hype of this novel to the point I made a list: -Typos every once in a while. -Written as if specific paragraphs had been translated by Bing. -Main & side info are randomly tossed around in an incomplete state like raw ingredients, readers have to process themselves to take in. -Information itself seems to be a mystery. Knowing what MC knows and doesn't know are as hard to guess as it is to know whether information is known to the author himself. -Consistency has become a rope you will swing around bars at least once a chapter in order to contemplate life. -Usual plain blank system isekai MC floating on the river of plot. The only difference: The system does not give quests (at least not yet)

I read this novel, before i stumbled upon this website here and i have to tell you: stay away from it. the MC isnt able to stay in one place at all and every time we start to get used to the people around him, he leaves the area and goes to another area, to never ever see his friends etc from that area ever again. there is one large part where the MC stay in one area a long time and gets people he cares for, a base and enemies that dont die after two chapters. thats the best part of the story. after he defended that area he decides to leave it with the people he cares for and thats when the novel couldve ended (if it was slightly modified). but noooo he has to leave, takes a way thats totally stupid instead of the same way he went through that area in the first place, stumbles into an area where his power is decreased, stumbles further until he is alone in some other dimension and comes back after 800 years and everyone who ever knew someone who knew him, is dead. the author doesnt like reappearing characters, otherwise i cant explain why he would even forget about some powerful people who couldve lived so long and were important in the MCs life. everything after he left the central continent is really frustrating to read and i wouldve stopped, if i could, but i always hoped for some miracle. the miracle never came.

With all those tags(ie harem, romance etc) the ending was as pathetic as it gets which basically invalidates your investment in the story and characters. If I could give a lower score I would, but that would be ingenuine to the translation quality which has nothing to do with my critique of the story and characters. Save yourself stones and skip this.
