Rinsing Goblins

After a long train journey, Oz bade goodbye to his friends at Kings cross. After seeing them all off he took himself to Diagon alley. As he entered through the Leaky Cauldron, he felt a slight ruffle in his jacket pocket.

{Where are we now papa?}

Looking down into his pocket there was nothing there to the common eye, however he knew that in that space was a cloaked Norberta that he had taken with him after the school year ended. Near the end of the school year he visited Norberta a lot and eventually decided on taking her with him when the year ended. If Stonehenge ended up being Merlin's base then there could be a lot of beneficial things for Norberta as well as things for Oz. With a hushed whisper, Oz responded to the baby dragon.

{We're at the leaky cauldron, when I'm done here Norberta we can soon be off and you wont have to stay stuffed in this pocket...}.

Oz was still confused by how his dragon-tongue worked. It seemed to activate whenever he was talking to Norberta however when it came to spells it would only activate in accordance to his will. If his will to fight reached a peak level like when he fought against Dumbledore, he would unconsciously use dragon-tongue. He longed for the day he could control and speak the language when he saw fit and hopefully heading to Stonehenge would help that endeavour.

The cloak spell Oz had bestowed onto Norberta was powerful enough to avoid all prying eyes. He'd be in trouble if someone of Dumbledore's level appeared however the likelihood of that happening was low.

Oz headed directly through the leaky cauldron and entered Diagon alley through the back. Whilst walking through the leaky cauldron he noticed he got a lot of stares, much more than he was used to. The second he walked in the alley he suddenly felt like he was the centre of attention to most of the witches and wizards on the street.

'Shit... I didn't realise it would be this bad...'.

Oz knew his fame had snowballed after being revealed as Merlin's descendant but he didn't expect it to reach near Harry Potter levels of fame where he would garner attention everywhere.

'Then again I did make a lot of waves this year just gone... how stupid of me. Next time ill have to disguise myself'.

Rushing through the crowds, Oz headed directly for Gringotts.

.

It was a quiet day in Gringotts, the goblins along all sides were working quickly and quietly. This peace was suddenly disturbed when the doors of Gringotts flung open.

With a loud *BANG* the doors flew open leading all the goblins to stop there work and look at what was causing the disturbance, in their views they saw a boy with a calm and cold appearance looking directly ahead. His purple eyes sparkled looking directly ahead at the main desk. A couple goblins seeing it was just a young boy prepared to get up and reprimand him for his rude behaviour however just as they were about to get up they started to realise who this boy was.

'Seems I've made quite the entrance...'.

Oz looked at the frightened goblins on his left and right as he walked through Gringotts towards the head desk. When he finally reached the desk, the goblin there shakily started to speak.

"M-Mr Ambrosius, to what do we owe the pleasure today?".

Oz looked at the goblin in front of him coldly.

"I believe you know the reason why I'm here... go and grab the head".

Looking at Oz's serious expression, the goblin at the desk immediately scurried off to grab the head goblin.

Oz stood impatiently as he tapped his foot on the ground. From his pocket he heard a faint yawn as Norberta was trying to get some sleep. After a couple minutes, the head goblin finally appeared.

"Ahh, Mr Ambrosius. Looks like you've grown a lot since last I saw you... Please come with me upstairs so we can have a proper chat".

The head goblin politely lead Oz ahead upstairs leading him to the second floor of Gringotts, where Oz headed last time in order to speak about the health specs invention. As Oz left the main Gringotts foyer, the goblins present heaved sighs of relief as the continued back to their work.

.

Oz and the head goblin eventually entered a room in which was a table for the both of them to sit at and chat. Sitting down at the table, Oz noticed that the head goblin had a bead of sweat drip down his head.

"Ill cut straight to the chase. I'm here for two things, one is to take some money out and two is to hear an explanation on why my identity was leaked...".

The head goblin lowered his head as he sat across from Oz.

"Mr. Ambrosius... The fault is definitely with our Gringotts. We discovered a small faction within our business that engaged in these dodgy dealings with the Malfoys and other 'dark wizard' families. The exchange of dark artefacts was being held in underground auctions as well as dodgy dealings such as the one that exposed your identity... We can only sincerely apologise for the issues we've sent your way".

Oz look at the head goblin with a look of scorn. He knew deep down that this goblin was lying. A small faction within Gringotts? bullshit. More than likely this was known by the top brass of Gringotts however the second such dealings were exposed they covered their tracks by discarding a group of goblins as scapegoats calling them a 'small faction'.

"Well sadly for me what's done is done, now everyone knows who I am and I can't change that... However...".

Oz leaned over the table and stared the head goblin dead in the eyes. His purple eyes let out an aura of intimidation and suppression.

"If you dare to do something like this to me again and use me for your own selfish needs, I will destroy this bank... even if its the last thing I do".

The head goblins eyebrows furrowed as sweat dripped down his face. Looking at Oz, he could tell he was not joking at all when he made this statement and he even felt that the boy was capable of acting on the claim he made. Gringotts made a poor mistake getting on the bad side of this boy.

Wiping the sweat off his brow, the head goblin responded.

"Duly noted Mr. Ambrosius. Duly noted".

After intimidating the head goblin, Oz sat back in his chair with a amiable smile.

"Well im glad you now understand... Onto the next thing I'd like to sort out, I'd like to withdraw some galleons from my personal vault. Seeing how much of a hit my Health Specs were, there should be plenty of money for me to take out right?".

Happy now the conversation had headed into a more normal direction, the head goblin replied instantly with a smile on his face.

"You made a mint Mr. Ambrosius. We managed to sell those health specs not only to witches and wizards everywhere but also to a lot of different schools! Hogwarts, Beaubaxtons and Durmstrang all ordered in a large amount of orders for their hospital staffs".

Oz smiled hearing about the success of his invention.

"Very good. I'd like to take out a few thousand if possible...".

.

After finishing up at Gringotts, Oz's wallet was now a lot more heftier. The Goblin's service towards him was first class now especially after fucking him over initially.

Just before leaving the bank, Oz found a quiet corner where he disguised himself, making him look more like a middle aged wizard. The illusion spell casted would work fine for now while he was going about his menial tasks as he didn't want to be pestered or hindered due to his newfound fame.

With this money in hand, Oz walked around Diagon alley into the different shops in order to gather different supplies. He put all his supplies in his bag that he enchanted with an Extension Charm. After collecting all that he needed. Oz finally headed back to the Leaky Cauldron, looking up into the sky he could see that it was becoming night-time, a perfect time for him to depart London towards his destination.

Felt Oz needed a chapter where he went to Gringotts and warned them not to play with him again especially after what happened. But mainly this chapter was Oz resource gathering for his trip.

Norberta is now with Oz though... A nice companion for the summer.
