Oz's Patronus

As the Patronus was produced Oz managed to make it fully corporeal. Seeing his own Patronus he was shocked.

His Patronus was a dragon, a magical beast. Not only was it a dragon, it was a specific kind of dragon. From what Oz could remember this dragon was...

'A Hebridean Black dragon...'.

Even though it was a Patronus Oz could feel the dominating power of the dragon be ushered forth. It roared violently at the dementors as one of the them were pinned to a wall while the other was thrown far away from Oz. In this split moment, Oz realised his chance here of getting a dementor's core as well.

Sending his Patronus after the dementor that had been sent down the hall, Oz ran to the dementor that was pinned to a wall. He didn't exactly want to force his hand inside a dementor without any protection so he decided to see on the fly if he could wrap a Patronus spell specifically around his hand using his innate magic control.

Luckily for Oz this application succeeded very quickly, unlike his attempts at using the Patronus spell in the first place. As soon as his hand was wrapped in a Patronus spell he forced it within the dementor pinned to the wall. The dementor let out an ear-piercing screech as Oz foisted his hand within. Oz then yanked the dementors core out violently and immediately stored it away in his pouch.

The dementor in front of him seemed to disintegrate, turning into ash. Seeing this Oz turned towards the other dementor that was scared to the other side of the hallway. Oz's Patronus had it pinned to the end of the hallway, roaring at its adversary powerfully. The whole hallway felt like it was shaking.

Just as Oz was preparing to finish off the second dementor it was immediately destroyed. Oz flinched at this outcome and immediately withdrew his Patronus. Running down the hallway were all the professors, turning the corner they saw the sight of Oz sitting himself on the trolls corpse catching his breath. All of them looked at Oz in shock before Mcgonagall started:

"Mr. O-, I mean Mr. Ambrosius! What on earth happened here?!".

Oz looked at the group of teachers noticing both Daphne and Hermione with them, obviously the two girls had gone to get him help as he stalled.

"Well professors when Quirrell came in to broadcast a troll had been released, I noticed that Harry and Daphne next to me on the table had disappeared. I grew concerned and immediately set out to see where they were. After some searching I found them being attacked by this here troll in the bathroom just over there. Not only were they being besieged by a troll however, a couple dementors were also about to attack them from behind. Both Harry and Hermione slipped past the troll but Harry ended up being attacked by the dementors...".

The teachers collectively gasped at the events Oz was describing as he continued.

"I guess they targeted the boy due to his past troubles... When I saw that I immediately acted, bringing the boy to me and telling both Hermione and Daphne to get help and take him to safety. However, little ol' me was left fending for himself against a troll and two dementors the latter of whom I have never even prepared for before. Why in the hell are dementors here when they should be in Azkaban anyway? what on earth is the ministry doing letting these creatures venture so far from Azkaban?".

Dumbledore looked at Oz sat on top of the trolls corpse, sighing he started to speak.

"This... You were far too reckless Oz. Dementors are creatures that can harm a persons soul. One misstep and you could have died or at least been permanently damaged".

As Dumbledore was reprimanding Oz, Snape looked over to the dust on the floor. The location of which was where Oz had ripped out one of the dementors cores turning it to ash. Turning back to Oz, he sneered.

"It seems our little descendant has more to explain here... Looking over there I can see a dementors ashes which should only be present when a dementor is destroyed".

Oz looked at Snape and sighed.

'I guess this high-strung guy would recognise dementor ashes considering he works with potions all the time...'

"Well after I managed to bring the troll down both dementors went to attack me, at that point I attacked them with a Patronus spell that barely managed to beat them back. As for the dementor that perished over there... who knows how that happened? maybe it hit its back to hard on the wall or something".

All the teachers collectively looked at Oz with analysing looks. Dumbledore however looked at Oz with a small grin on his face. Spotting this Oz felt a chill down his spine, it was as if the man was planning something. Dumbledore turned to all the other teachers and started to speak.

"While Oz here was indeed reckless, he was only being reckless in order to protect his friends. That sort of bravery is worthy of recognition! Seeing the boy also be able to use the Patronus spell also shows that we all underestimated the descendant of merlin, the boy is way above his years...".

After hearing Dumbledore's little speech Snape started to walk towards the troll. Just as he was about to reach the troll however Oz stood in his path.

"I don't think so professor, I defeated this troll so its rightfully mine. I could strike a deal though, I only need all its blood, you can take the rest and use it how you see fit".

Snape felt his rage building at Oz's clear defiance. Sadly for him though he couldn't go against this kind of demand as Oz indeed was the one who brought down this troll.

"Very well Ambrosius, Take the blood from it now and then we will take it from there...".

Oz gave a sly grin at Snape's response and proceeded to drain the Troll of as much blood as possible. After gathering a few litres of blood he stored it in jars which he then placed into his pouch for safe keeping. Turning to Snape he ushered him to take the rest of the Troll.

Dumbledore watched all of this happen with a curious look on his face. Oz suspected that the old wizard was probably wondering why he needed troll's blood, and so much of it. After a while of brooding Dumbledore looked around to everyone surrounding him and began to command.

"Alright everyone, it seems the situation here is solved! Oz, if you could come with me to my office I have something I'd like to talk about with you...".

Oz's eyebrow furrowed at Dumbledore's request. After seeing all of this, it seemed the old man had a plan in mind for Oz. As all the teachers started to disperse Oz quickly called out to Dumbledore.

"Could I go visit Harry before I come to you? I want to see if the boy is okay after the attack".

Dumbledore turned around to look at Oz, wearing his grandfatherly smile he look at Oz and replied.

"Feel free to do so, but after please come and visit me".

All the teachers then fully dispersed leaving Oz with Hermione and Daphne in the hallway. He looked at the two girls who were looking at him both in awe and in fear. He walked up to them slowly and looking down at them with a soft smile he said.

"Lets go see how Harrys doing".

A/N - So his Patronus is a dragon. I feel that it makes sense due to his lineage and all of you guessed it correctly of course. However I did have some difficulties when picking a specific dragon. I was half tempted to pick a dragon that existed outside of the Harry Potter world however that to me felt wrong so I decided on the most violent dragon in Britain. I would have gone Hungarian Horntail, but to me that was very generic.
