Chapter 10

"Gentlemen, why are you crying?" Wilona spoke, jolting him making him drop her hand as he quickly wiped his tears.

"Apologies Your Majesty , I wasn't intending to disturb you." he quickly bowed.

"Oh that's okay sir, but I'm curious, why were you weeping?" she asked, it was hard for her to speak.

"Your Majesty, you must rest, don't worry about me." he said placing the blanket on her, just as he was ready to leave she grabbed his hand. He stiffened.

"You call me 'Your Majesty' pray tell sir, do you not wish to fulfill my commands?" he had no answer to her question. "However I do not remember being someone in high position. But if you still consider me as someone who is in higher position than you, then you should obey me shouldn't you?" she smiled.

"If Her Majesty asks me, then I shall not reject her command." he said with a sad smile. "You.... You remind me of my younger sister... I apologize if my words offended you" he said bowing again. Wilona laughed but quickly stopped since it pained.

"Was she... As pretty as me?" she asked with a hint of mischief in her voice. Ralph was reminded of her past self immediately. He controlled his feelings and stopped himself from breaking down in tears.

"Yes... She was as pretty as you, Your Majesty."

"Really? I was just bantering-sir... Are you alright? S-Sir?"

Tears dripped down from his eyes as he couldn't contain his emotions. He quickly bowed and left the room while continously apologizing. He sometimes abhorred the king for just sitting on his throne all day and doing nothing at all. The King did the same when Wilona was cursed and he is doing the same when Curtis is no where to be seen. Did he even cared about his own family?

"I hate that my sister is suffering because of your sins Your Majesty. I'll take you down, just wait." he muttered under his breath.

Curtis is his only family now, his sister was taken away because of King's selfish decisions. He wasn't going to loose Curtis that easily too. He wasn't going to let the King ruin his family again.
