Chapter 15 - Adaptation
Daija's acid still bubbles violently, preventing any of his enemies from approaching him. He knows, he is physically superior but his magic is lacking. "I need more power . . . I need to escape or I will exhaust this body's life force" he mutters to himself while he looks around for any opening. He considers fighting them head-on but Leshin has a divine weapon, a spear made by a heavenly being. Plus Kento and his men have magic that might not hurt him but can hinder his movement.
Leshin summons a wave of mud and dirt to cover the acid. The acid boils most of it but the overwhelming mud and dirt cover it; the defense that Daija made is now gone. Kento's snail shamans cast their magic and spin a sticky silk substance above their head. They throw it at Daija in an attempt to capture him. "Too slow," Daija says as he easily dodges the magic but then the mud underneath his foot grabs a hold of him. Kento and other frog shaman rush in and attempt to stab the open wounds that Leshin made. Daija's face shows fear, he was fooled. He dodged the web and not his footing was caught in mud, he tries to struggle out of it but the mud started to climb up to his legs.
Kento and his men use their magic to empower their swords. They rushed in and planned to stab the open wounds on Daija. But it was all in vain; as the men reached Daija they are all covered by his acid and melted in an instant. Daija laughs as the men melt in front of him. He opens his mouth wide open and spits acid to the mud that holds his foot.
Leshin angered by the death of his comrades summon a tidal wave of sharp rocks and swirled above Leshin. He summoned more and more rocks; large ones that can crush a body part with ease, sharp ones that can pierce thru a man's skin, and small ones that can lodge itself in the eyes of Daija. He motions his spear in a circling motion and the rocks follow; after gathering what looks like a mountain of rocks he hurled it all towards Daija.
Daija just shrugs it off as the rocks didn't hurt it at all. He laughs and exclaims that it's effect to him is like a kid throwing pebbles against a castle. It won't hurt or dent him, it's just annoying him. Daija runs into the rocks with his arms covering his head and eyes. He runs and manages to get closed to Leshin. Leshin tries to make the ground soft and turn it into mud again but Daija was quick on his feet. Daija uses his magic to boost his speed and with one fell swoop, he manages to slice off the neck of Leshin.
Leshin was taken off guard by this attack as he tries to heal his wounds. Daija had enough and leaps on top of him to finish him off. Leshin loses his footing and Daija had his way with him. He slashes and clawed every part of Leshin and made sure he won't breathe or stand up again.
Daija let a roar and yells that he is finally free from these nuisances. "That takes care of that and now to get out of here." He takes in the heavy breathes to relax looks at the castle and thinks for a second. "If my sense is right, there is a tengu here. . . "He mutters to himself and thinks that he needs to consume the tengu he sense so he can spout wings.
Daija thinks to himself that it has been a long time since he had a body and the last time he used his adaptation abilities. He remembered the time when he and the other kings rule the world. They could have changed the world with the body parts of Bathala. The body parts once gave him the power of adaptation thus he can be anything he wanted to be but when the war ended he and the other kings lose that old ability. Daija remembered the old times when he used to eat large fish; after consuming I, his body can grow gills and web feet as is the attributes of that fish was passed on to him.
Having this body might do the trick. "I need more power," he says and he looks at Leshin. He leans on his body and ate a piece of meat from it. Then he feels nothing. Nothing changes, no power surge, or a new body part. He expects eating the meat will grant him power over the earth but nothing strange or new happened. He grabs the body of the ones who were killed by his snakes. He grabs a piece of their meat and eats it and again nothing.
"Damn, something is wrong with my powers. I thought using another piece of Bathala will return me to my old self?!" He slammed the chunk of meat to the ground and he angrily punches the tree near him. Then he realized something when he punched the tree the open wound that Leshin made didn't produce any pain. Daija inserted his finger into it and felt no pain. He punched himself in the face and again, he felt no kind of pain.
He realized that he is being fooled by an illusion or spell. He didn't dwell on it and rushes over to the castle. He expects hundreds of warriors ready to defend their land to the death but what he sees is a castle with no patrols or guard. The archway and defense tower are empty and no patrols in the area. He looks over the village and sees nothing; the village is fine as if no kind of war or battle is happening.
"LESHIN! What did you do to me?!" Daija yells and yells but no kind of response is heard.

"Is that good?" Kento asked as the mist starts to be absorbed by Daija.
Leshin smirks and walks casually toward Daija. After Daija inhales most of the mist, his body suddenly falls, his eyes turned white and Daija became motionless as he lay on the ground. "This mist is full of illusion magic. I filled it with hallucinogenic mushrooms and leaves. Plus it got good sleeping weeds in it too"
"Are you all Guardians this creative dealing with your enemies?" Kento asked Leshin. Leshin then uses his magic for the ground underneath Daija to carry him big a large mud hand.
"Yeah, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. None of us are stronger than the other." The other men yell for Leshin to stop and they demand Leshin to kill Daija while he is defenseless. Leshin replied to the men by speaking to Kento directly. "Now Kento, I don't wanna kill Daija since he said something very important that I think might be related to our cause."
Kento raises his hand and signals the other men to stop their whining and listen to Leshin. Kento puts his hand on Leshin's shoulder and thanked him for stopping Daija since their weapons and magic are ineffective against him. Leshin replied that it's the least he can do to help the same people who helped them defeated the tengu who nearly killed them.
As they are carrying the body of Daija back to the castle, he mutters some words as he is sleeping like "body parts of Bathala", "tengu here" and "more power". The words ring into Leshin's head as he is trying to decipher the words. Body parts of Bathala? But Bathala is watching over us from the heavens. tengu and power? Does he plan to get to the tengu since the beginning?
A loud cheering from the guards and patrol is heard as they see Leshin, Kento and his men are walking back to the castle with Daija captured. They are greeted with more cheers from the crewmen who are praising the name of Leshin for another successful venture. As they near the castle gates, Leshin stop and looked at Daija.
"Kento, I believe Daija wants to enter the castle and it is related to our tengu prisoner. I will separate Daija from the castle… can you give lend some of your men to help create a makeshift prison away from here?" Leshin asked Kento with his voice starting to be filled with worry. Kento didn't hesitate and asked the same men who accompany them to assist Leshin.
Leshin and the men went further into the woods and near the mountain foot. Leshin uses his magic to create a wooden prison for Daija. The snail shamans spin another weave to wrap and restrained Daija's movement. When all is done, Leshin planted seeds into Daija's open wounds. The men asked what did Leshin planted and he replied that those are plants that are designed suck the blood out of any being it touches. The men asked if those are monsters and Leshin said yes, those are plant-like monsters and will only obey his command.
Leshin instructs the men to stand by as he heard Daija's disgruntled voice starts to get louder. And on cue, Daija opens his eyes and sits on his cage. He looks around and sees the Leshin and the men. "Had a good nap, Daija?" Leshin asked. Daija didn't answer and looked at the surroundings for an escape path. Leshin wants Daija to answer his question and the snail shaman pulled him their strings. The webbing twisted his body and his head swerve in Leshin's direction.
"You are a crafty one Leshin. You are a tough opponent to beat" Daija praises Leshin while he tries his best to break from the webbings on his body. Leshin asked Daija to answer his question "What are you Daija? Kento said that you are an ordinary snake that Orochimaru made a bond with but that isn't the case."
Daija pauses before answering. He took a deep breath and contemplate if they will even believe him or not but in this case, Daija got no other option. "Yes, I am a snake that once served Orochimaru but that is not who I am. And from judging on your face you have an idea who I am. . ."
Leshin nods "Daija, one of the Seven Dogon. One of the seven kings of ancient days. Back when Antrian and Ruks-Bel Lands are not divided by huge mountain ranges."
"Correct, Leshin. I am one of the ancient kings. Now you must be curious how I am still alive yes?" Daija tries to keep the conversation going and tries to gather his strength and break his way out by force.
"You mentioned in your sleep the parts of Bathala. I am guessing that is why you are here."
"Yes, Leshin. Before, I and the other kings have their way as we slowly dominate these lands. We were unstoppable force because we have Bathala's body parts in our midst"
Leshin throws his spear and hits Daija's leg. Daija yells in pain and tries to struggle out of his prison. "You are in my mercy Daija, speak truthfully or you will have yourself beginning to kill you immediately," Leshin says as his anger starts to fill his voice. "Bathala never left us and Bathala never died. What your mouth is spouting is nonsense."
Daija replies while trying to ignore the pain he is in "Your god?! HE IS DEAD! And this is why the Dogon ruled this land before."
Leshin leaps in and grabs the spear. He turns and twists it as he buries deeper down to the leg of Daija. Daija yelps in pain and his calm demeanor start to crumble with the pain he is in.
"Leshin, you are a mere child. If I have a Bathala part within me, I would be powerful as I was back then!" Daija tries to spit the acid to Leshin but the wood of the prison formed and block it. Leshin then pulls the spear and points it directly to Daija's neck.
"More lies. Are you telling me that Bathala is dead? And how did you kill him? How can you even go to the heavens as his angels stand guard over the sleeping Bathala."
"Because he wasn't sleeping, to begin with, Leshin. He is dead for a long time. I and the other Dogon kings discovered his body here in your lovely continent. We searched high and low for his body parts and eventually, we have six of the Bathala's body parts" Daija closed into the spear of Leshin until it scrapped the tip of his neck until a drop of blood is produced.
"This is why divine weapons only work on me Leshin and no other weapons. It's because I am blessed."
Leshin wants to end Daija but his story rings some truth to it. His hands tell him to end him but his heart wants to hear it out. It's like something is preventing him to do it.
"The day the Antrian used magic against us is the day everything turned for the worst. It's like someone lead them like another one of the body parts was found by an Antrian and used it against us. The whole earth ate our armies and ejected a huge mountain that divided Antrian from us. Eventually, the Antrian and Ruks-Bel Lands' mage and army managed to push us back. We tried escaping thru the sea but another mountain range prevents us from reaching Freeman's Land and Land of Origins. In the end, we are stranded and the sea swallowed our boat. And with it, six of Bathala's body parts were washed away and we the kings were powerless once the body part escaped our grasp. I don't know what happened to the others but I manage to survive by using the last of my power to transform myself into a snake and I manage to wrap myself in driftwood and land here and lived the rest of my life as a snake. I thought I would live the rest of my life this way until Orochimaru became my partner as a snake shaman. Thru our adventures we became good friends and fate would have it, we happened upon one of Bathala's body parts again in this land."
"And that's the truth behind your heretical story?" Leshin demands the truth once more but this time his eyes are burning with hatred. Every word that Daija said fueled his anger. Leshin believes the story of his elders and walked his life with the belief that Bathala is alive and is tired after creating this world. All the trees, land, water, and life spawned from him and he gave others the freedom to live the life they see fit. A god that gave everything for us and this one tells me that Bathala is dead? And his body is being used as a toy?! Leshin's emotion grew heavier by the second. He instead turns around and pulled his spear.
"We are done here Daija. I have enough of your lies." Leshin snaps his finger and the seeds on Daijas wounds began to grow rapidly. The seeds feed on Daija's blood, doing so made itself grow bigger and spread their vines faster the more it drank. Daija cries out in pain and wriggles as he tries to escape this prison.
"Serves you right Daija!" "You are a lackey of Orochimaru and you need to die!" the men yell as they enjoy the pain and screams of Daija. Daija starts banging his head on the wooden cage. The pain is unbearable and now he began to contort his body as the pain began to spread.
"The plant it began to root itself inside him. This is what happened when you angered a guardian" Leshin said. The vines grew rapidly as it began to wrapped Daija and weakening him. Daija's skin began to change into a pale white as more of his blood and nutrition are being absorbed by the plant.
"Hey, Leshin. Didn't you get what I said? Orochimaru and I found the body part of Bathala." Daija laughs as he is trying to ignore the pain. "I and Orochimaru are connected. Our bond as snake shaman and its snake make use strong and that's why I transformed into this human form while you were fighting me earlier." After Daija finished speaking, he bites the vines and eats the vines covering his mouth and face.
"Let me show you the power of Bathala's body part . . . as it has given me its gift." Daija munches on the vines then he calmly sits there are the vines continuously grow. After a few seconds, the vines stopped growing and instead wilted. The pale skin began to revert and the pain Daija is in began to reverse. Daija's skin then began to boil then vines began to appear from it and began to wrap around the web holding him. The vines traveled from his cage to the snail shaman holding him. The snail shaman releases their hold before the vines catch them.
Without anyone holding the weave, Daija breaks the weave holding him and he began to slam on the wooden prison he is in. Leshin reinforces the prison with his magic but the physical prowess of Daija is taking its toll on it. Leshin throws his spear in an attempt to end Daija. The vines from Daija's body react and catch the spear before reaching him.
The vines began to spread out and take root underground. The vines then began to feed on the nutrients from the ground and redirect it to Daija. Leshin tries to summon the spear back to him and control the vines but he can't: the vines are now connected thru Daija and the spear is being held by a strong force.
"Run! Tell Kento to prepare!" Leshin instructs the men and they hastily run. Leshin leaps forward and grabs his spear. He summons rocks and formed sharp spikes to sever the vines from the ground. More and more rocks spin around the vicinity as it slices off every vine it sees. The rocks finally sliced off the vines holding the spear.
CRASH! A loud sound is heard from the prison cage and from it, Daija smiles. "Adaptation, this is my power Leshin and all it took for me to be this power is the body part of Bathala. Now shall we continue round 2?" he says with confidence. He should be since his wounds are healing thanks to the vine.
Leshin points his spear to Daija and the sharp stones files toward Daija. "Funny, this is just like in my dreams." Daija opens his arms and lets the flying stones crashed on his body as he walks towards Leshin. Daija seems to enjoy this as he knows that Leshin can only use earth base magic and with the magical vine, he can gather back his strength as long as the vine absorbs the nutrients from the ground.
Leshin tries to keep his distance. He runs and summons more rocks to Daija. Daija rushes forward trying to catch Leshin to end this chase. Leshin summons walls of rock to slow down Daija's movement but every wall of rock Daija sees, he just smashes it with his bare hands.
The rocks that hit Daija are crushed into smaller and smaller pieces. Once it was crushed, it will be summoned back by Leshin and to be hit again by Daija. Eventually, their chase comes to a halt when all of the rocks become small specs of dust and Leshin starts to pant from running away for so long
"Rocks shattered into million pieces. That's your brilliant plan? Look, you did your best but you cannot outrun and outlast me. The vines you gave me are on the sole of my feet and every step I made absorbs the ground for nutrients so I can keep going." Brags for a bit and even flexed on Leshin just to prove he is fine.
Daija suddenly feels wobbly. He loses his footing and starts vomiting. Leshin throws his spear and pierces Daija's arm.
"Some of the rocks you punched and was crushed by your body are copper and zinc," Leshin says as he pulls the spear back to him and he leaps and tries to stab Daija on his chest. Daija roles away but Leshin manages to stab his legs. Daija's vision is getting blurry and he starts to vomits some more.
"Those are elements are plants dangerous to plants and humans when consumed too much. You just slam those elements right into your system and now you can't take." Leshin says as he stands before Daija.
Daija's skin bubbles and the vines start to come out. He attempts to absorb more ingredients away from here but instead, it dies immediately from too much poison within Daija. Leshin had enough and stabs Daija thru the chest and drag the spear across to cut Daija in half.
"You heretical words end here!" Leshin yells as he dealt the finishing blow. And finally, Daija's body lay motionless. Leshin falls to the ground and catches his breath. Most of his stamina was exhausted after all that running and dodging. He finally can take a quick rest before returning to the battle. Leshin doesn't understand why Daija wants to attack the castle – it's more strategic for both of them to attack together. Leshin thinks about the things that Daija just said, did Bathala died? Did the teachings of the elders of his tribe and others are wrong?
Leshin left his guard down, he is exhausted and his strength needs to recuperate from the fight that he didn't notice that Daija's head is still moving. It opens its mouth and out it shot a snake. It's Daija – he manages to transfer his essence into a small snake escape from a tired Leshin.
Daija made its way back to the castle. He avoided detection from the snail and frogs patrol in the area by staying underneath the bush and slowing slithering its way thru the thin crevices on the ground and walls. The men are on full alert for him. The men that accompanied Leshin expect that Leshin might perish against Daija and now a lookout for any signs of him. Too bad, they don't expect Daija to be a small snake.
Daija manages to get in without a hitch and pass all of the patrols. Daija was here before back when Orochimaru and Tsunade were dating. They were happy and Daija just follows them around. Daija manages to get into the prison and sees his next target, the tengu clan leader – Yokoshima. He slithers inside Yokoshima's cage, he sees the tengu sleeping in his cell. He takes this opportunity and bites Yokoshima in his sleep - the poison will kill him and Daija can regain his strength and body once he finished consuming this body. From a distance, Daija can hear the cheers of the men. They are shouting about Leshin and how he has returned with the served head of Daija's other body. Daija happily munches on Yokoshima's body.
I need to eat this fast before they can get the body part of Bathala from Orochimaru.

Jasmine is on the watchtower, she is instructing the guardians on how to deal with yokai reinforcement and so far they are winning. They are doing well until Orochimaru changes his singing to a tune to a sad one. Out of nowhere, Orochimaru started to walk from the forest and into the battlefield. The yokai cheered on and their spirits revitalized, they charged and push on despite Kislap, Kulog and Juan's illusion are turning the tide.
Any warriors that will get close to Orochimaru are immediately killed by his swift strike. He sings casually and walks his yokais. The yokais seem to be in a trance and they followed right behind him. These yokais don't care if they are pierced by an arrow and stab; they kept their focus on Orochimaru and protecting him. Orochimaru stopped walking and yelled "Tsunade, I will give you one more chance. Join me and I will spare your men."
Tsunade heard this and stepped out of the village's gate. She yelled in reply "Orochimaru, you and your delusions will be the end of this island. I will never say yes to you!"
Tsunade and Orochimaru began to squabble like two lovers. Jasmine didn't get all of that since she is busy coordinating with the other guardians. All she understands was Tsunade and Orochimaru did date but when Juan entered their lives, Orochimaru became jealous for no reason. Orochimaru responds that he was right to be jealous since Tsunade looked at Juan differently than him and all it took for him to assure that Tsunade loves him is to marry her.
"That doesn't mean you can kidnap me!" Tsunade yells back.
"And it doesn't mean that I can't be jealous!" Orochimaru replies.
The two go on and on. The warriors and other guardians look confused. Jasmine peeked at Juan and he sees Juan standing there at a corner with his face covered by his palm. The awful argument that these two are making made Juan feel embarrassed. Juan now believed that it is a mistake coming to this island . . . he didn't know that his presence can make discord between lovers.
" . . . and that is why I need you to be with me. You can only make me whole again! My heart cries for you Tsunade!" Orochimaru extends his arms. His voice is filled with frustration and sadness as he tries to court Tsunade in the middle of the battle.
"And this is why I don't like you! You're making a fool of yourself! Your delusions of me going to Jiraiya pushed me away. Every time that I want you to look at me with love, you look at me with sadness. When I ask for your time, all you give me was your ranting. How would you expect me to love you when you are always in your head and not living here with me?" Tsunade replies with anger in her voice. She is done with him. She turns away and signals the men to close the gates behind her.
Orochimaru sat there in silence and looked at Tsunade. He replied once more "I loved you because I thought you had my back. I thought you will not look at other men than me. And what will I do with these feelings?! What will I do without you?! TELL ME!"
Tsunade looked at Orochimaru once more. She looked at him from a distance. Her face is filled with disappointment and regret. She shakes her head turns.
Orochimaru grew silent. He knows what she meant. It's over. His love for her will never be returned. He felt a void in his chest. His ideal world of them ruling together is over. Despite his achievements: all the power he gained, yokai he made to serve him, and even killing the royal family to rebuild this island, Tsunade will never love him the way she worships Juan. He grew silent and looks at the ground. Tears began to flow like a river and he breaks down in front of his army.
The yokai around Orochimaru looked at him for his orders. The nearest yokai asked Orochimaru what are his orders. Orochimaru didn't reply, just continued to cry.
The warriors and guardians are baffled by what they are seeing. Jasmine is also confused about what is happening right now. She goes down the watchtower and approached Juan. There she sees Juan yelling about Kento listening to Leshin.
BOOM! A large explosion and a blinding light send everyone flying. Jasmine was blown away by the force of the explosion but good thing Juan saw her. With his quick reflexes, he leaps just in time to catch her. They both were blown away by the huge explosion. The nearest warriors from the explosion were blown into bits. The doors, windows, roof, and walls were sent flying from the direction of Orochimaru's location.
"You okay?" Juan asked Jasmine. Jasmine nods and then Juan points at Tsunade over at the distance. "Go to her, I will need to reestablish my link to the frogs. That explosion disrupted my flow of magic"
Jasmine stands up and runs toward Tsunade. She is unconscious and her lower half is buried under rocks and other debris. She quickly moves the rocks away to help Tsunade. "Tsunade can you hear me?!" Jasmine slaps the woman's cheeks to wake her up but no response. Jasmine leans on her chest and hears a heartbeat. Jasmine then drags Tsunade where Juan is still lying on the ground.
"Thanks, Chronicler. . . I just talked to Leshin and the others. They are having their party there." Juan stands up and assists Jasmine in carrying Tsunade. They carry her body to a nearby medbay. The medic panicked as they saw Tsunade entering their station. She was quickly hand over to the medics and they assured Jasmine and Juan they will do their best to get Tsunade back on their feet.
As Juan and Jasmine walked back outside, they saw the walls near the village's gate are destroyed and there, they can see the carnage of the explosion. Bodies are everywhere, the men are still struggling to stand up and the homes and buildings once were there are turned into a pile of junk.
In the distance they can see Orochimaru, on his knees with his arms extends to the sky. His body is radiating with light and power. A large hum vibrates across the ground from him. Blue wisp started to appear behind Orochimaru and flies to Orochimaru's body. More and more enters as time goes on.
"WAIT! Those are the souls of the dead! Those are the things I and Tala saw when we left our bodies!" Jasmine as she tries to explain that Orochimaru is gathering the spirit of the dead to make his stronger. Jasmine contacts the other guardians to stop Orochimaru.
Kislap was the first to respond. He ran and gathers his strength on his metallic rod. He aims to release the lighting and hit Orochimaru. When he got near and tried slammed his weapon to Orochimaru, the blue wisp burned bright and shielded Orochimaru.
Kulog uses her sound waves to disrupt Orochimaru's call but the humming persists. Kulog tries to revert the reverb but the hum was somewhat disrupting her attacks.
Tala and Amihan are still busy with their fire head yokais and umbrella. Atlas with his stone gundam is being dragged by more serpent yokais and Gil is still handling the fire yokais.
The soldiers tried to stop Orochimaru too. The spears are pushed away by the wisps. The arrows burn when they get near. And the swords got too hot for them to hold. After absorbing enough spirits, Orochimaru's body boils and grows. His flesh turns purple and scaly. He grows longer and longer until his massive body formed a huge chunk of flesh.
All are in awe of this spectacle. A huge purple snake is standing tall in the middle of the battlefield. It opened its eyes, tilts its head to the heavens, and bare its fangs to the world to see. It bumps its head back to the direction of the village and it spoke "Then none shall know my love, my pain, and hatred." Orochimaru's size is massive as he towers everything and every one the field. If the giant skeleton yokais are 12-15 meters, this one is 30 meters tall. This is the biggest foe that the guardians have ever faced.
Orochimaru charges toward town. Kislap runs atop the snake and summons the lighting to his side. He runs he became a streak of lighting across Orochimaru's body. Kulog on the other hand uses her massive sound waves to push Orochimaru away from the town. Each slam of her rod to the ground emits a sound wave the pushes Orochimaru away. Kislap runs faster and faster across the body of Orochimaru; and as he runs, he summoned lighting rained upon Orochimaru. Each lighting pushes Orochimaru to the side.
Kulog became thunder. Her eyes light up and her jet black hair becomes light. She shouts and slams her rod and a massive sonic boom helps her brother to push Orochimaru to the side.
Orochimaru falls to the side. Kislap runs back to his sister.
"You think he would stay down after his ex GF rejected him?" Kislap asked his sister as he tries to catch his breath.
Kulog shakes her head. "You men are always stubborn to us."
Orochimaru started to stand back up as he eyed the two guardians. Kislap and Kulog crossed their metallic rod and summoned down large lighting to their rods. They boost the light with their magic and redirect it to Orochimaru. Instead of taking it or dodging it out of the way, Orochimaru opens his huge mouth and swallowed the lighting. Moments later he chewed and swallowed it.
Orochimaru's side began to bubble and there emerged another head. The head size and looks are identical from the first. The only thing that is different when the head opened its mouth it shoots lightning bolts at the two guardians. Kislap and Kulog immediately absorbed the electricity into their rods.
"Witness my power!" Orochimaru yells as the second head focuses its aim on the village. Before it manages to shot the lighting. Fireball is hurled from above and hits its other head. Tala dive bombs into the head of Orochimaru and delivered a lot of fireball across its body. From the distraction, Orochimaru missed the lighting attack and instead hit the mountains from the distance. One of the head manages to swallow the fireball of Tala.
Shortly after Tala's dive bomb, Amihan delivers her tornado to blow Orochimaru away further from the village. She summoned a strong gust of winds, strong enough to uproot the trees in the vicinity. The air hits Orochimaru and drags him further. Amihan also conjures a huge tornado and slams it on Orochimaru. The two heads manage to fight off the tornado by swallowing it whole.
Just like before, it grew heads -two heads formed and each has its own elemental power based on the things it ate. Orochimaru's heads eyes each guardian, it readies to fire another elemental blast. The guardians realized it too, that cannot attack with their elemental attacks or they will let each head feed on it and make it Orochimaru grow.
"Guys! Don't attack it with your elemental power, it will grow another head and be a bigger threat!" Jasmine yells thru their frogs.
Amihan reaches for the sky and her Ginunting falls from the heavens and floats beside her. Tala's wand emits a steady blaze on the end of her wand and holds it like a knife. The sibling guardians ready themselves to hit the giant snake with their rod.
And out of nowhere Gil comes crashing in and decked the heads of Orochimaru. He is controlling his water to make it flow everywhere. He formed his water into a tidal wave and each wave has fists on its end. Each tidal wave of fits hits the snake square in their faces. One of the snakes manages to bite off the wave and drink on it.
"Take that, you mealy mouth bastard!" Gil lands on the ground and cheers on himself when he sees Orochimaru took a beating from his attack. The other guardians look at him and their eyes are in shock. "What did you do you big buffoon! Didn't you hear what the Chronicler just said?!" Kulog shouts.
Orochimaru gets back up with a 5th head and as expected it got water element on its mouth.
"Gil . . . really?" Kislap chimes in.
"Hey! Sorry I was busy back there and I was so into the mood of kicking yokai out of here" Gils readies himself for a potential attack from Orochimaru.
The heads of Orochimaru readies their mouth as they gather their elemental breathes. Then burst of flesh again. It formed three more heads.
"What?! Hey, no one manages to hit or made it ate our attacks right?" Tala shouted to the rest of the team. There the 6th head breathes outgas, the 7th one breathes out lasers made of pure energy and the 8th one oozes our acid from its mouth.
"Maybe these are from the people he manages to defeat the royal castle?" Amihan yells to the other as they get back from a safe distance. The gas that emits from the head was deadly enough to kill the birds in the sky. The other head melts the ground it touches. And the other heads ready their aim at the village.
"Guys? Anything? Chronicler?!" Tala shouts as she starts to see how badly their situation is.
5 of the heads began charging their elemental blast. Energy, fire, water, wind, lighting converge on the 5 head's mouth. The two heads kept the other guardians at bay as the gas and acid made it difficult for them to approach. And the last head began to talk "This the power of adaptation! And my fury is my weapon and with it, NOTHING CAN STOP ME!"
"Guardians! Heads up!" Jasmine's voice echoes thru their frogs. From the forest emerged Atlas in his gundam rock suit. It is covered in guts and serpent blood. "Atlas, harder the rocks to iron and sharpen its edge now!" Jasmine yells.
"YES MAAM!" Atlas reinforced the sword he is carrying and it crystalized in an instant and turned into iron. It sliced off the 5 heads in one swipe and severed the elemental attack before it can hit the village.
"NO!" Orochimaru screams in horror as his 5 heads are easily dealt with. The one with the acid immediately spat on the Atlas and it started to melt off the foot and half of the body of Atlas's rock mobile suit. It took a knee and Atlas jumps right off before the acid melts him too. The giant rock suit that Atlas made melted in an instant.
"Well, this one reminds me of the Hydra back home. So no elementals right?" Atlas asked the team.
They all nod at Atlas and a distance Juan runs near them. "Finally! I am here. It was not easy running a mile or so on foot." he exclaims then he coughs. "Don't worry, the Chronicler is with the soldiers and she will be guiding us from here."
Orochimaru's 5 heads dead and now three more remains. He looks at the guardians and sees Juan. "And now you are here. I shall enjoy devouring you, Jiraiya. I will tear you limb by limb just like how you destroyed my life!"
"Orochimaru, your delusions did this. Despite me having no intension of marrying her, for this land's safety and her honor. . . I will have to kill you and end your madness" Juan ready's his knife.
"I will kill you first Jiraiya, then your friends and lastly her!" Orochimaru charges in with the acid and gas surrounding him.
