Small Chapter. A little Bit Of The History Of The Night Kingdom

Chapter 5

I gently flipped the pages. They were so thin, old, and fragile. I was afraid I would rip it if I wasn't careful enough. I flipped to chapter 1, it was called The Beginning:

Thousands of years ago, the Night Kingdom was created, it was called the Vampire Kingdom then. No one knew how the kingdom came to be or how it became that way.

The first king was named of the kingdom that we know of is Tiberius Astor The First. He ruled ruthlessly and violently, he executed anyone and everyone who said or made even the slightest offense to him and his family.

That was one of the main reasons for the lack of vampires in the kingdom. They were either killed by their king or they died in war and small battles for land.

The Vampire King defeated small human villages and wars to gain land for the Vampire Kingdom. But while doing that, the King didn't care that his soldiers were dying left and right. He only cared for the land he was gaining and nothing else mattered.

This foolish act is what caused his doom. He died in a battle for more land.

Flipping to another page, I sighed, that was the last page of the first chapter, I'll read more tomorrow if I have time.

Yawning, I stretched and grabbed a piece of paper and slid it between the pages, bookmarking it.

Putting the book down gently, I blew out the candles.

Snuggling into the blankets, I thought about tomorrow. Mark had said we were going to go horseback riding tomorrow.

I haven't gone in a while, it would be fun, I suppose. Sighing, I pulled the covers higher up, and slowly fell asleep. As the world faded away I entered the familiar deep, calm, peaceful, darkness of my sleep.
