Chapter 26: I like her

"How dare you " Anita shouted on ahaan ,he looked down looking extremely guilty

"How dare you touch her when you don't even feel anything for her ,agar kuch feel nahi karte tho uske itne paas gaye kyun?,I can't believe you just ruined every firsts of her,you ruined her first kiss,you ruined all the beautiful experiences for her,you ruined all the feelings ,you ruined every thing and I don't even know who to blame here ,her stupidness to trust you or my irresponsible behaviour that I couldn't take care of her , because I can't blame a person like you who might have done the same with any girl you come across "

"Anita you are crossing the line now " ,akash interrupted in between

"Really are you defending him akash ", Anita questioned

"I am not defending him I am just telling you ki give him some time " , akash said

"Give him some time ? For what ? He clearly said he doesn't like her " ,Anita said

"Bhabhi he didn't say that he doesn't like her ,he said he doesn't know " ,abhay said

" even if he likes her ,does Naina like him ? " vineet asked

"Agar wo isko pasand nahi karti tho iss jaise ladke ko apne itne paas aane hi nahi deti ,she likes him and I am just feeling so sorry for her that she fell for someone like you " Anita said

Ahaan was shocked listening to the revelation ,he didn't know why this gave him some relief ,some relief that everything didn't end on a bad note,he might be confused about his feeling but he was clear that he likes her but didn't want to accept it right now because he was not sure how strong the liking was ,he didn't want to make it more worse for Naina !!

"Listen akash if I see him around Naina or if he hurts her again I swear on god I am gonna tell everyone what he did with her and I am serious ,and ahaan stay away from her " , Anita said and walked out of the room ,akash followed her

"Listen to me Anita please " ,akash said while he walked beside

"I don't know why should I listen to you anymore akash ,you should have seen her in that state " Anita said as she stopped walking and looked at akash who was standing in front of her looking equally guilty and upset

"I am sorry for whatever happened Anita ,I am really sorry but please try to understand him too " , akash said

"Why should I understand him when he doesn't even own up whatever he did , he just left her alone like that and now he doesn't even know he likes her or not ,what should I think about him ,what kind of a person he is " , Anita asked

Akash hugged Anita ,tried to calm her down as she looked extremely upset and hurt and he knew she was right in her place , Naina is her best friend and she has all the right to question ahaan

"He is just scared ,scared to accept the fact that he likes Naina " ,akash murmured

Anita broke the hug and looked at akash curiously

"He is scared to lose someone again ,he is scared to lose someone he loves after he lost his parents he has always been like this ,his play boy image ,his busy schedule , he had no one to give him the love he deserves and Naina in just few days she gave him everything ,he definitely likes her but he is not ready accept it right now" akash said

"I didn't know about his parents,sorry to hear about that " Anita said

"But I am still not convinced with whatever you said ,I just don't want him to hurt her anymore you have no idea agar uski family ko pata chal Gaya tho kya hoga , please ask him to stay away from her " ,Anita said and walked out

After few minutes Akash entered in ahaan 's room

"Whatever happened was not right but we can't change it now ,it's better if you stay away from Naina ,issi Mai sab ki bhalaayi hai " , akash said

"Lekin akash ? " abhay was interrupted by akash

"Bas ab iss topic Pe koi discussion nahi,there is nothing to discuss about it when he doesn't even like her" ,akash said

" hum sab ko ab chalna chahiye baahar mehendi ka function start ho chuka hai ", vineet said

"Tu apna huliya theek karle ,and please stay away from Naina " ,akash said and everyone left from ahaan 's room leaving him in guilt and confusion

Naina came back after getting ready and trying her best to control her emotions ,Anita and all the other girls were applying the mehendi, priya and neetu asked Naina to join them and apply the mehendi but she denied them

"Naina tu theek tho haina" ,Anita asked

Naina nodded her head trying her best to give a fake smile

"Naina you don't look fine ",priya said

"Agar kisi ne tujhe aise dekha tho sawaal puchenge ", neetu said

"Maine kahaan na I am fine ",Naina replied

"Tho mehendi kyun nahi lagwaa Rahi ?" Anita asked

"Tujhe pata hai mujhe mehendi nahi pasand hai aur wese bhi meri shaadi thodi ho Rahi hai ", Naina replied

"Naina agar tujhe kamre jaana hai tho Jaa sakti hai " Anita said

"Maine Kahan na I am fine baar baar ye kyun bol " Naina stopped in between as she saw ahaan and other boys coming

" Naina if you don't feel ok we understand" ,priya said

Naina was lost as she felt extremely uncomfortable looking at ahaan who was looking at Naina with the guilt and tears in his eyes

NAINA'S POV

When I saw ahaan after all that happened between us ,all the flashes of those moments came in front of my eyes, I felt disgusted looking at this man standing in front of me ,I was mad at myself for even letting him come so close to me ,I was angry at my new feelings which I never experienced before ,"I hate him" my mind says but my heart ,my heart was not accepting the fact that I hate him ,I wanted to run away ,it was suffocating to even see him but I had no choice but to tolerate him, and no Naina Sharma is not weak I reminded myself and I am not a coward like him who ran away after crossing lines with me,I own up my shit unlike him even though he is bigger than me in age but he proved maturity has nothing to do with age ,he proved I was right about him ,he was nothing but a Playboy who kept following me until he got what he wanted ,he proved my opinions about him was right ,it was my fault that I didn't listen to my mind and followed my heart

"Naina if you are not ok let's go from here" ,priya said as she stood beside me trying to comfort me by holding my hand

"I am fine " I said ,I sat down beside Anita

"Mehendi lagwaana haina " I asked

"Haan lekin tujhe nahi lagwaana tho it's ok Mai mom ko samjhaadugi " ,Anita said

" I am ready lagaao mehendi " ,i replied

Anita ,priya and neetu looked at me in shock

"Naina mehendi lagwaa Rahi hai ?" Rudra asked as he came and sat in front of me ,I gave a him a smile and nodded my head

"Tu theek tho haina ?" Rudra asked

" Mai theek hoon " I replied

"Kitni boring hoti hai ye functions " rudra said

"Boring ? Seriously Bhai ,Aaj meri mehendi hai aur boring bol rahe ho ? " Anita said

" Iski mehendi hai tabhi tho itni boring hai " priya said

We all laughed looking at Anita who was looking angry

"Ok let's make it interesting " ,rudra said

"How? " I asked

"Give me a minute " ,rudra said and went towards the dj

Dilliwaali girlfriend song started playing

"Not this song I hate it " Anita said

Rudra came towards and asked me to join him ,I showed him my mehendi

"Please" ,rudra said

I noticed how ahaan was still looking at us ,I decided I had to be strong and prove that I am not weak ,he might be thinking he won after getting what he wanted from me but no all that happened between us was just a mistake

I got up and started dancing to the beats

( Rudra held my hip dancing to the beat )

( Naina imitated the lines looking at ahaan who was still staring at her but this time looked at her not with guilt but with a surprise and anger plastered on his face )

(Rudra showed heart sign to Naina ,she smiled )

( The girls from groom side joined including that girl who was flirting with ahaan ,she dragged ahaan ,vineet and abhay too to dance)

( Naina imitated the lines holding rudra 's ear and smiling)

During the dance someone pushed Naina towards ahaan ,she was about to fall but ahaan held her by her waist and pulled her close

"Aise kyun behave kar Rahi ho jaise kuch huwa hi nahi hai " ,ahaan said

"Leave me " Naina said looking extremely uncomfortable,this was their first interaction after those moments between them and he was making her more mad ,the audacity of him to speak to her in that tone ,he didn't even sound guilty for what he did to her

"Whatever happened between us looks like it meant nothing to you ",ahaan said and pulled her by holding her waist tighter than before

" You are hurting me " ,Naina said as she held ahaan 's shirt for support with her one hand ,her eyes now filled with tears and ahaan looked so shocked ,he immediately freed Naina

" I am sorry, I am really sorry " ahaan was about to hold Naina 's shoulder but she walked out

Ahaan followed Naina

"Listen to me Naina please" ,ahaan said as he followed her quickly

"Get lost " Naina said as she walked quickly

ahaan ran after her and grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him

Naina looked at him in anger

"Leave me idiot " , Naina said angrily

"No listen to me first " , ahaan said

"I said leave me ,stop hurting me" , Naina said as she struggled to get out of his grip

Ahaan freed her from his grip and Naina immediately hit ahaan on his chest really hard which made him wince in pain

"Samajte kya ho tum apne aapko Haan ? Who the hell are you and how dare you touch me " Naina shouted on ahaan,he was so surprised at her behaviour ,he expected the anger from her but he was surprised at her boldness

Naina gave one more punch on ahaan 's chest And he winced in pain this time she was so hard on him but he knew he deserve it

" Stay away from me " Naina shouted,she was about to walk off

"I just want to talk to you about whatever happened between us " ,ahaan said ,Naina stopped in tracks ,she was extremely uncomfortable,yes she was behaving boldly but it was so difficult for her to face him because she knew it was not only his fault,it was her fault too ,she kissed him back ,she let him go beyond kissing ,she didn't stop him ,she was mad at herself too

" That was a mistake ,it meant nothing forget it " Naina said

Ahaan was shocked and couldn't believe his ears,did she just said whatever happened between them was a mistake ?did she just say it meant nothing ?He was her first kiss how could she just say that

" What do you mean " ,ahaan asked

"don't try to behave like that meant something to you anyway ,the way you ran away you proved I was right about you ,you proved you are a jerk ", Naina said and walked away

"What just happened? ,how can she just insult me like that,how can she say something like this ,how can she even nullify my feelings

"Just like how you used to do before mr Malhotra " abhay said as he joined ahaan

"suna tune kya kahaan usne " ahaan said

"Sab suna humne " ,akash and vineet also joined

"You deserve it " abhay said

"And I asked you to stay away from her "akash said

"It's better if you both stay away from each other her ,in all this you are hurting her more " vineet said

"It's not only her who is hurt ,I am hurt too,tum logo ko uska hurt hona dikh Raha hai mera nahi ,she insulted me ,she thinks so bad about me ,she thinks I do things like that with every girl ,she has formed such a horrible opinion about me without even knowing me completely ,it fucking hurts " ,ahaan said

"Just maintain distance from her ,ye sab kar ke tu uske opinions ko sahi prove kar raha hai " akash said

"Aur wese bhi uske sochne se kya farak padta " vineet said

"Farak padta hai ki uske opinions mere itne against hai ,wo mujhe ek jerk ,play boy samajti hai jo kisi bhi ladki ki saath kahin pe bhi ,farak padta kyun ki " ahaan stopped

Kyu ki ? Abhay repeated

"kyu ki I like her damn it " ahaan shouted

"Finally this jerk accepted it " abhay said
