Chapter 16: Tom and Jerry?

"just accept you like her ", vineet said

"let's not start this again ", ahaan replied

"are you scared that you will lose the bet? " abhay said with a smirk

Before ahaan could speak anything everyone was called for dinner

Everyone gathered for dinner , naina was nowhere to be seen, ahaan kept looking for her wondering were she disappeared after their romantic moment

Naina came after 10 minutes with rudra which spoiled ahaan 's mood, she had changed her dress and was wearing a simple chudidaar, she was laughing and giggling with rudra as if he was the most funniest guy, ahaan was getting furious and tried to keep calm

"teri girl friend nahi hai wo relax ", abhay murmured

" shut up " , ahaan replied

ahaan looked at naina who was still standing and talking to rudra on the either side, there was no seats left on the dining table except the seat beside him

"mujhe wo chahiye " ahaan shouted grabbing everyone 's attention , everyone looked at the way ahaan was pointing, naina was standing right there, ahaan was pointing finger at a bowl filled with custard

Everyone was sitting except naina and rudra

"naina dekh kya rahi hai beta ", anita 's mom said asking her indirectly to serve him

Naina took the bowl and went towards ahaan, she served him custard in small bowl and kept the spoon in that , as she finished and was about to leave, ahaan held her hand

naina was shocked and looked at him

" choro", naina slowly murmured as everyone was busy in eating and nobody noticed it

"baitho ", ahaan replied pulling the chair from the other hand

" I am not going to sit with you, leave ", naina said as she was getting angry and annoyed

" chup chaap baithogi ya tum chaahati ho sab ko pata chale? " ahaan said

naina tried her best to look normal but she was losing her mind, she was getting annoyed, irritated and moreover her heart was beating so fast, Ahaan was still holding her hand

Naina took a deep breath and sat on the chair beside ahaan

Ahaan pulled the chair closer to his chair , naina gasped in shock, she looked at others, everyone was busy

"ye kya kar rahe ho tum, haath choro mera ", naina murmured

Ahaan started serving food in naina 's plate with his other hand, he still didn't leave naina 's hand

" haath choro mai kar lugi ", naina said

Ahaan stopped and looked at naina and said " bhaag jaaogi tum "

Naina looked at him, she was looking at him curiously but she smiled, ahaan was surprised that instead of being mad at him she smiled

"nahi bhaagungi, ab haath choro", naina said

Ahaan left her hand , naina shaked her head still staring at ahaan curiously

There was complete silence between ahaan and naina

Naina started eating, ahaan finished his dinner but was still sitting beside her staring at her every now and then making naina nervous

" stop staring at her koi dekh lega " abhay murmured beside ahaan

Ahaan ignored him and continued with his staring game

"thank you ", naina said out of nowhere making ahaan come back to real world

" what " , ahaan asked making sure what he heard was not a dream because her thanking him after what just happened shocked him

"I said thank you ", naina said now looking at him

" thank you for what " ahaan asked

"thank you for protecting me ", naina said , she was still avoiding his gaze and looking at the plate in front of her

" my pleasure, by the way you really smell so good " ahaan flirted as usual making naina look at him , she immediately pinched him on his arm making him almost shout

"ah ye kya kar rahi ho tum " ahaan said still rubbing his arm

"you deserve this " naina said and continued eating and giggling to herself, ahaan smiled looking at her

Naina 's pov

I just couldn't believe how can someone be so annoying ,caring and even childish at the same time, yes Ahaan was so annoying but he was so caring too, I hated how he touches me without my permission but it turns out to be that he does all this to help me , when he held my hand in front of everyone and asked me to sit beside him I felt like I am done with his behavior but suddenly when he said " tum bhaag jaaogi " I couldn't help but smile at his stupidity , I knew he was doing this because there was no other empty seats

The way he was staring when I was having my dinner made me so nervous, my heart beat was not normal , it was so difficult for me to stay calm around him I didn't know what was the reason but I felt like his closeness does something to me, this is only reason I want to stay away from him

I got up from chair after finishing my dinner, ahaan held my hand and stood up from the chair

"leave " I ordered

he immediately left my hand " kahaan jaa rahi ho " he asked

"I am done eating, look ", I showed him the plate

" not yet", ahaan said

I looked at him confused, he pointed at the other side, I followed his gaze, there was a big ice cream stall

"ice cream " I shouted in happiness and looked back at ahaan, he was smiling "chale? " he asked, I nodded my head
