The Walking Dead by Dera Collins

"There's no way. You can't be alive, you simply can't! You were killed on the battlefield. You sacrificed your life for the wellbeing of the empire! You shouldn't be here. What has the dead got to do with the living?!" She shuddered in fear. "Indeed my beloved. I had been killed not by sacrificed but by betrayal. I had been betrayed by my closest allies therefore, my soul wonders seeking vengeance and shall not obtain salvation until justice be served!"

Prologue

"My Lord, do ye really have to leave?" She questioned worriedly. She was afraid.A fear for his life had crept into her heart and enveloped her. A fear that he might never return.

"Forgive me m' lady but I must. The integrity and honour of our empire is on the line and that is simply something I can't put at stake. Our enemies has made a grave mistake making a mockery of our empire's pride and integrity. I must go for I have to protect the lives and integrity of our people. I promise to return victorious and I'll make our enemy pay for ridiculing us." He gave her an assuring smile and resumed putting on his armour and battle kilt.

"Indeed, I understand thy predicament and I agree with thee. The pride and honour of our empire must be protected but m' Lord you musnt go. Ye mayest send the General in place of thee and retreat. Ye musnt leave. Ye must stay over here emperor for I fear for thy life. I have a sinking feeling that if ye leaves, ye may never return. Call me superstitious but I ran into a black cat earlier and believe that to be a bad omen. I plead to thee emperor, if not for me sake then remain for the sake of our unborn lad."

"Nae me lady I must leave for I have a responsibility towards the empire. I must protect the pride and honour of me people.I swear to thee and our unborn lad that I will return victorious. Inform the other queens of the harem for I don't have the time. I'm departing on a secret mission and I don't intend informing anyone except me allies and armies until me arrives at the campsite. Me lady I must depart now. Take care of yerself and our unborn lad." He said and left.
