From her logs and the digital stamp on her credit card, Ava Starr was currently having a few weeks off from any assignments and was on her way back from grocery shopping.

I let myself inside her apartment and sat down in an obscure corner and dimmed the lights a little, even going as far as bending away the excess light coming in my direction.

The doors were unlocked and she walked in with hurried steps, hungry, but as soon as I sensed that she was about to change her clothes, I decided to speak.

'No perverted scenarios for this android, I'm afraid.'

"Ava Starr."

Definitely not the scream I had half expected as she currently had a gun to my head with a knife in her other hand.

"Who are you?" She asked while slowly flicking on the lights to illuminate the whole room, all the while not even blinking for a moment.

"Not how I got in here?" I asked as I crossed one of my legs across the other. Why not just approach her like a normal person? Well I just felt like it.

"You're already inside and it's also easy to pick a lock." She replied calmly, fingers just a little push away from triggering the gun in her hand. "I won't repeat myself; who are you and what do you want with me?"

Without beating around the bush or any further theatrics, I answered her and gave her a brief rundown of my reason for being here.

"My name is Vision. I'm a member of the Avengers and I'll keep it simple. I know SHIELD hasn't been forthcoming in their promise of help and that's exactly what I want to offer."

She looked at me without showing a single emotion on her face for a few seconds before she replied. "And how can you succeed where SHIELD has not been forthcoming?"

"Because unlike them, I don't have that much on my plate nor will I give you a single excuse for 10 years and I also don't think that I need to convince you of what exactly is your worth to them." I laid it on the table as plain as anybody can put it and gave her the choice to make a decision.

"And what do you stand to gain from this? Do you want me to work for you instead of SHIELD? To kill for you?" She said as she took a few steps forward, her body vibrating through states as she did.

"Data. I need as much data as I can get from you and no, I don't want you to work for me. I'll still help you since that's my offer but whatever you do after is up to you." I answered her.

The scientist of SHIELD and Bill Foster had no idea what they were trying to do which was the reason why none of them could help her to what she wanted, though the latter did do a good job on slowing down her molecular deterioration if not she would have been lost years ago.

"Why me? I reckon you could have found a mutant or two with the ability to walk through walls. Why me specifically?" Now she was just a few feet away from me, unafraid probably because of her faith in her ability.

"Why you? Simple. I don't know who else suffered from a quantum wave that destabilized their molecular structure to complete shambles like yours."

This was the reason why I needed her. I could have gone ahead and just shrunk myself subatomic but if there was even a 2% chance of me increasing my knowledge on the elusive realm, then I'm taking it.

Who said Kang's presence was the only thing I was cautious of in a Quantum-dive?

I have no idea what kind of organisms and viruses are there so I'm betting everything on increasing my chances of a successful Quantum-dive.

"How sure are you in helping me find a cure?" She asked.

'Desperate.'

"100%. That or I'm 1 or 2 percent off." I said with confidence. Curing her was not a problem at all, what I wanted was how the chaotic way she exhibited her quantum properties.

People like me or Kitty Pryde have a seamless molecular deconstruction when we use our abilities but in a way that was false Quantum-shifting as the Quantum Realm itself was a chaotic void space.

'If she enters the Quantum Realm, can she easily navigate it by connecting with it if she can safeguard her consciousness?' These are the type of questions that I wanted a near-practical answer to.

"About leaving SHIELD, you don't have to worry about them as I'll make sure to take care of it on my side, so what do you say?"

°°°°°°°°°

"Are you sure about this?" Ava asked as I pushed her inside an enlarged capsule that I tweaked to read her molecular fluctuations and just how loose her molecules are from their natural physical makeup.

"Yes. Just bear through it okay?"

Well, obviously she agreed since this was something she's been looking for more than a decade of suffering from the excruciating pain she feels when her molecules start falling apart.

As for how I am going to cure her, let's just say I'm going to have to pull a Shang-Tsung on her.

I turned on the machine and started downloading the bits of data from every fraction-second sequence her molecules underwent.

'Wavelengths…'

[The individual known as Ava Starr is having her biological makeup being dragged between two different diverse vibrating frequencies and since earth's physical laws can be easily suppressed by those of the subatomic space, it's affecting her and forcefully and haphazardly breaking her apart, hence the pain. The current energy reading from her shows that she has no clamp on it except a forceful shutdown]

[Synchronizing your Energy absorption, Electromagnetic manipulation and Quantum-shifting abilities will help you siphon the abundant chaotic quantum energy that she's saturated with]

'Of course it's all wavelengths!'

Everything, material and immaterial, vibrates at their own specific frequency and if you can vibrate at that frequency, you can achieve a similar state as the object whose frequency you are vibrating at.

But with the infinite expanse of the different levels of the Quantum Realm, it was bound to have an exceedingly infinite range of frequencies since it's formless, stateless and the lack or unfettered effects of physical laws.

But Ava was vibrating at a level that if care wasn't taken, forgetting about just being subsumed as part of the Quantum Realm, she might very well just become a part of every existing reality. She could go anywhere, anytime, in any state, to any point or aspect of the myriad universes connected to the Quantum Realm.

'She's a fucking walking breathing and almost dead Quantum boomtube with a theoretically multiversal built-in map.'

The only downside to it, in respect to her, is that she just doesn't have the mental capacity to download all that spatial coordinates. She'll sooner fizz away into nothingness than register a single spatial coordinate.

I opened the hatch of the capsule and caught her body from falling and winced in pity as I felt the pain she was feeling as she wheezed for air.

"Tell me you got what you wanted?" The look in her eyes told me she wasn't taking no for an answer.

"Don't worry, I think I got more than what I bargained for." I said with a smile while helping her up.

"So?"

"Meaning it's time for me to fulfill my end of the deal and it comes with two choices: the first being I'll help you tweak your ability so that you can easily control it, while the other being I take it away permanently." I proposed but she didn't even spend a second to think about it and made her decision. "Take it all away."

Saying nothing else, I gave a mental command to start the process.

[Rerouting all excess energy influx to the Mind Stone]

[Synchronizing Energy absorption, Electromagnetic manipulation(subset) and Quantum-shifting abilities together]

[The temporary fusion of the three abilities has produced a new ability – Quantum siphoning]

Ava screamed in agony as I fused my own quantum-property energy with hers and started siphoning all the abundant quantum energy she was drunk on. To her it probably felt like ripping open a decade plus scabbed wound.

For the first time in forever, my head hurt from the sensation going through it despite the fact that the Mind Stone was drinking up everything else I couldn't handle on my own.

It continued like that for a while before everything subsided and simultaneously stopped with a sweaty, heaving and delirious Ava in my eyes.

"Haha, sorry about that." I said, apologizing for the pain she felt as I felt her tethering on the edge of losing her consciousness. "I promise you'll feel better when you wake up."

I placed her on a bed and fixed some drips into her before leaving to the other end of my workspace.

"Are we good to go?"

[Affirmative]

[Proceed with Quantum-shifting?]

"Hit me."
