Harvey wanted to wait until the last second to leave, but Ukko and Iro insisted that it was a bad decision. He needed to move, now, before the King's castle got their heads twisted back on the right way once Molly was out of season.

Moreso, Ryan had taken note that the rest of the Queen's mates had been mostly kicked out of the castle for the week. None of them stood a chance to have heirs; with Molly's poor fertility, it was always Edgar's turn. He was insistent that he would have at least one more litter before anyone else had a chance, and in his ire, all the other men weren't allowed anywhere near his spouse while she was in heat.

It started with noticing the peacock perched in a red-leafed tree over Harvey's house. The leopard nodded in acknowledgement to Alva, who's crest feathers perked momentarily, but otherwise ignored the gesture. As the the only non cat in the family, he was lowest on the hierarchy, and it wasn't uncommon to see him wandering to bide his time.
