The outbreak - III

Ariana noticed Malcolm was a bit frightened when he saw the captain guy he called. However, now it isn't time to think for that. Therefore, she raised her head confidently and gazed at the cold green eyes and said, "My brother is the only person I have, please Sir."

"I hope you will allow me to enter the village."

"And I can protect myself from this disease, without getting infected, so it'll not infected anyone," Ariana assured him.

Ariana was born with healing powers, she can heal herself from any injuries and illness, and at the same time she can heals others too.

The reason she left the town was, infact to heal the son of Count Cara, who was critically injured. The Count was her father cousin, therefore she couldn't rejected them. After staying in the County Cara for a week, she heard of the plague struck her town and hurriedly left the County with her horse.

Coming back to present, Ariana peered at him when she saw him being silence, hence she added, "I really can save myself from this plague and help the healers to treat others too."

The green eyes man raise his eyebrows slightly and returned back to the expressionless and cold look, it was fleeting, but Ariana was sure she saw it.

"Oh"

That was his only response, that it really make Ariana annoyed.

"Captain, my friend here has an affinity for magic, so I'm sure she'll be fine," Malcolm spoke in a respected tone, when he saw Ariana annoyed looks, Ariana annoyed looks means, she's gonna say something which is not good, therefore she might get in troubles, when his Captain here is not an ordinary man.

"Hmmm"

The green eyes man just hummed, still gazing at her, which she find it uncomfortable, however Ariana felt relieved when she heard him and frantically walked away without waiting for Malcolm.

She climb to her black horse and turned to Malcolm, without looking at the cold green eyes.

"I'll see you later," she said and ride her horse.

The man in emerald green eyes was still gazing at the direction where the white hair girl disappeared.

"Hmm, Ocean eyes," he muttered and smirks behind his mask.

Ariana finally discover Jace in a nearby village called Dulwich, in a small old run down house. A teenage boy around 14 was helping the healers in treating the infected people seriously. At this moment, she finally realised her little brother had grown up.

Moreover, he doesn't seem to be a bit infected by the disease, hence she finally felt relieved.

"Jace!"

She cried out and frantically sauntered towards him, and hugged him tightly, she was relieved when she saw him being uninfected, as she was really afraid of losing the only family members she had.

"Thank God, you're fine," she gasped.

"I can't breathe," she heard a muffled voice and hurriedly free him from her embrace.

"Sister, why did you come back?" asked Jace.

He continues,"I was going to find you after this outbreak is over."

Ariana flick his forehead when she heard him,"Do I look so heartless to you?"

"Ouch, sister stop doing this" he cried and rubbed his forehead.

They were silence for a while, when they remember their parents.

"There're only both of us now, brother," Ariana whispered sadly.

Jace lowered his head sadly, "I wish I could have save them, sister," he said ruefully.

"Me too, brother," she said dolefully.

Both of the sibling want to cried and comforted each other, but they knew this isn't time or place to cried. Instead, they should heals the infected people with their healings power.

Ariana and Jace aren't related by blood, but they had a strong bond, particularly since they had an affinity for magic. They were both adopted by the Rarelli's couple, since the couple couldn't have their own children. The couple showered them with loved and treat them both like their own children. Ariana and Jace are both fortunate to be adopted by the Rarelli's couple.
