Two targets

Drake walked to the main building for his first class. He did not expect the main building to be pristine white. There were multiple shimmering plants all around the main building.

The ground floor was a cool hallway with four stairs at each corner and one in the center of the hall.

What made it interesting was that the main building was divided into separate parts. Each of these stairs led to different sections of the building, with every section having one classroom in it.

The staircase leading to class one was at the bottom left corner of the hall and the surprise didn't end there.

The more fascinating part was that whenever someone stepped on these stairs, they automatically started moving upward. Just like others, he walked up to the bottom stair, and magically, it started moving up. All of this filled him with very fascinating for him.

Soon, he reached his classroom on the second floor. He momentarily paused in front of the class.

Kane's voice came, [Come on, dude, with my plan, we're going to rule this place.]

He sighed and asked in doubt, <Are you sure this plan of yours will work?>

[Believe me, once we befriend the protagonist group, your survival chances will increase up to 90 percent.]

He still couldn't believe that Kane's seemingly genius plan was to befriend this protagonist group.

He wanted to refuse the plan after the ride experience, but Kane assured him that these people wouldn't care about his origin.

In the morning, Kane had lectured him for hours on how much potential these people had. For now, their big survival plan was all about befriending every powerful student and making a connection with each of them.

Though it seemed lame, he realized it was the best way to use Kane's knowledge. With Kane showing so much confidence in the protagonist group, he really wanted to see who these students were.

Controlling his chaotic thoughts, he pushed open the door and entered the classroom. Bright light welcomed him.

The first thing he saw was an elevated platform for teachers in front of him.

The classroom door was next to this platform, and in front of it was a row of ascending seats. This arrangement allowed him to see everyone, even those at the back.

The arrangement of seats was in sets, three on the left side of each row, four in the middle, and three on the right side. There was a path between the middle and side columns that led up to the end of the class.

A large number of students were already present in the class, especially the front three and last three rows.

A few seats were still empty in the center rows. He took his time examining everyone. Interestingly, most of the humans were sitting in the middle section while elves occupied the left side, and Dwarfs sat on the right section.

He could feel the tension among the different races in the class. As he glanced around, his eye expanded to see his stepsister in the front row of the middle section, along with a few other members of the Duisberg family.

Well, most of them were the outer family kids. He even spotted a few other Duisberg members sitting away from this group. Still, the majority were part of this Duisberg group.

None of them even looked at him. They straight up ignored him while they chatted among themself. He did the same and started looking for a decent seat.

As he did, Kane said, [Sigh, there are so many beauties here, but none of them are my type.]

He shook his head. <Stop wasting time and tell me who those people are.>

[See the beauty in the third row, sixth seat. She is the Ice beauty, the main heroine of the novel.]

He followed Kane's direction and spotted a blue-haired human girl sitting there with a sharp, cold look on her face.

He didn't know many kids of his age, but in those few, he knew she was the most beautiful girl he had seen in his life so far. He even noticed many boys gazing at her from time to time with red faces.

Her looks didn't affect him, but her blue hair sparkled in the light, just like Duisberg's eyes. So he asked, <Is she from a seat-holder family?>

[Nah, she's Ayaz Stern, a commoner, blessed with extreme beauty and a high Ice element. Her potential is epic grade, with a single ice affinity. She will become so strong in the future that people will start calling her Ice Queen.]

He was prepared to hear something shocking, but an Epic potential right from the start was unexpected.

Kane continued, [See the girl just on her left? She's your second heroine. Elie Woke from a small-time merchant family.]

He saw a brown-haired, jolly girl with a little baby fat still on her face. She didn't look beautiful from any angle to him, but she exuded a pure, jolly vibe. Just from looks, he couldn't see anything special about her. But Kane shocked him again.

[Elie has an Epic grade Earth and Gold grade Air elements. Overall potential is lower Epic grade. She's a fiery beauty who fights with brute force.]

He corrected his judgment. Anyone with epic potential could not be weak, that was for sure. <Who is third?>

[Ah, let's focus on these two for now. They are the easiest to befriend in the group.]

<Is there a problem with others?>

[mm Yeah, other guys will have a complicated relationship. Some of them will start as an enemy and then join the protagonist later on, and others are from different classes. These two will join the protagonist from the start. ]

<Alright, but who is the protagonist?>

[Well, he's still not in the class. We have to wait.]

<Oh, okay.> He stopped looking around, walked up to the sixth row, and sat in the outermost seat of the middle column.

There was a boy in the seat to his left, while the path toward his right was empty. He didn't know why, but many boys in the middle section were glaring at him with smiles on their faces.

He asked, <What with those guys?>

[I don't know man. There was no mention of what happened with others in the novel. But I think you know it is not a good thing for us.]

<mm > He did not care much about them and closed his eyes, patiently waiting for the class to start.

hope u like the chapter.
