Inkki and Minky

Everyone received a wooden badge in their hand.

He looked at the wooden badge in his hand carefully. It looked like a simple piece of wood with nothing unusual.

He followed the instructions and placed the badge in between his hands. The next moment, he felt tickling on his palms, and the wooden badge started shining in a black glow.

All the students around also had their badges shone in different colors. Soon, the wooden badges stopped shining, and words appeared on them.

Inkki said, "You guys know the first two things. The third is the class. There are 5 classes, and each of them has around 100 students. The number written on the badges shows which class you are part of. "

Everyone nodded.

Minky snatched one of the student cards. "Points are the currency used in the academy. You can use them to get many things like weapons, mana arts, potions, and more. All of you will get 10 free points at the start of each month."

 She pressed on the point, and suddenly 10 appeared next to the points on that student badge. "Hehe, you can get these points by various means, and remember, collect your free points before the end of pre-academy."

One boy asked, "What is the value of 10 points, and can we earn these points?"

Inkki clapped, "Great question. Don't worry; teachers will tell you everything about the use of points and how to earn them. In the pre-academy, points will get you everything."

Minky slammed the table. "Let's get to the rooms. We are the ones who will assign you the rooms based on the class you are in. It's not fixed; if someone wants to change their room, just come to us with a valid reason."

One girl asked, "What are these valid reasons?"

Inkki and Minky smiled at her and said in unison, "Find it yourself."

Many students frowned at this, but none said anything.

Inkki clapped her hands. "I want everyone in the 1st class to come forward; others wait for your turn."

At the mention, Drake and two more boys walked near the counter. Minky touched their badges, and a room number appeared on the badge.

Inkki handed them two sealed packets to each. "These are your two pairs of dresses. You need to wear them while attending the class. It had an auto repair and clean function, so no need to worry, even if you tore your dress into multiple pieces."

There was a simple white shirt and blue pants for them, nothing too flashy.

Minky then started explaining the other uses of the wooden badge. She told them to flip the badge.

The moment he turned it and supplied a little mana, a screen projected out of the badge. It had all the information about their class schedule, a detailed map of the academy with a tracking system, and a rule book.

Done with learning everything, the class one student walked out of the Staff building.

He started walking toward his room, which was present on the left mesh of the building. Oh, his way, he started going through the information on the badge, especially the map.

Interestingly, he found that on the right side, there was a similar staff building.

The map had this cool feature of zoom in and zoom out. He zoomed in on the main campus building, which was at the center and had 3 floors.

He was wrong about no building behind the main building. There were 20 big domes present behind it, though in the night no light came out of them. After domes were nothing but forest.

Beside the main building, there were a few important 2-floor buildings on the side like medical, weaponry, potions, and 2 more buildings.

There were a few hundred meters of empty land that then stared at the mesh of hostels for the students.

Each of the hostel buildings was a 2-floor wide building with 5 rooms side by side on each floor. There were 20 hostel buildings randomly placed on both sides in a chaotic mesh.

He did not understand why it was like that. Finally, there were 5 hostel buildings present in a straight line, making the left and right ends.

The staff building was present just at the start of the hostel line. The forest surrounded everything and, of course, the massive ground at the front.

There were 50 hostel buildings, and to his surprise, his room was present in the last building on the left hostel line. It was the second last room in the building.

<mm > Drake continued in the night sky along the start of the forest. Unlike the other 2 boys, he chose this quiet path as he wanted to stay away from the noises coming from the hostels.

Soon, he reached the 5th hostel building. All the lamps and lights in all the rooms were still open. He could hear the loud laughing sound coming from a few rooms.

From the back side, each bottom room had a small door and a window. While a small balcony was present on the top floors. He walked in through the 10-meter gap between the 4th and 5th buildings.

On the other side, there was a mesh of hostel in front of him. Not caring about them, he turned toward his building. There were 2 stairs at both ends of the yellow building.

There was a number written on each door. On the bottom floor, it was 201, 202 …205. He climbed up from the back stairs. There was a long balcony corridor with a thick wooden fence on his left.

He walked past 210 to his room 209. There was a wooden door with no handle or locks on it. Behind the door, there was a shiny rectangle slot exactly the size of the badge in his hand.

Not wasting time, he placed his badge and soon the gate opened as he went inside and shut the door.

Inside, there was a single big room with a small door to the washroom on the left, a window, and a door on the back. There was a small shelf, a table, and a chair on the left, and a small bed on the right.

It was very simple, but he liked it. He threw packages on the side and jumped on the bed. Within a few seconds, he blanked out and drifted into the dreamland.
