"But can you tell me, why do we have to enemies? " - Lauv, Enemies

***

Fortunately, the passed few days had gone pretty smooth and I hadn't unnecessarily been stressing on things.

I obviously kept visiting my dad on a daily and it was the same old news. Talking to a person, with their eyes closed on a hospital bed I think was definitely a torturous thing because the person was truly still alive because of a man-made machine.

It was like talking to the dead who was still living.

Did that make any sense?

Even if I didn't, it surely wasn't a pretty feeling.

I sighed, leaning my head against the wall staring at my wardrobe, puzzled.

It was like I didn't know who I was, I didn't know who these clothes belonged to because I didn't even know where to start.  It was just another day of me going to school but for some reason, something inside of me just  said that something was going to happen. But I didn't know what.

I shrugged it off and made my way to my wardrobe and I glanced at the window outside. They sky was already blue- it seemed warm and it wasn't even noon.

Great.

No hoodie.

I grabbed a plain white t shirt, a black and white cheque shirt along with a pair of leather cycling short, white socks and finally, white sneakers. I decided to let my hair down. Before I got to do anything else- I heard the sound of my phone ringing.

I glanced at the caller ID and it was Sarah. I pressed the green bottom and placed the phone onto my ear. "I repeat, I do not like phone calls."

"You can never greet right?"

"That's- not my style and you know that." I said  searching for my- "What are you doing right now?" I heard Sarah asked on the other line. "Looking for my bag." I pulled the phone away and put it rather on speaker.

"Okay, when you're done, well be waiting outside."

"You couldn't write me that?"

"Shut up and get done!" I heard another voice on the line and I rolled my eyes, playfully knowing who it was. "Bye." I hung up.

It was Tuesday and my first class was maths.

Oh great.

I could already sense that this was going to be a long week. Imagine, a dreadful Monday and when you think it's Friday, it's only Tuesday.

Yes, yes I may be always complaining but do you know how many assignments I'm assigned with?

See what I did there?

And queue, the wink.

"Okay class, I don't have any work for you today since we pretty much finished all of the work enough for you to be prepared for the examination."

Examination.

Everybody, including me was delighted at the news as I prepared to sketch something in my notebook. Maybe this day wasn't going to be so bad after all. Maybe Mr Jackson finally found something bright in his life so sweeten up his bitter system.

"Thank you so-"

"Don't thank me yet." All eyes went on him at this moment. "How will you ever be ready for an exam, if you don't get the revision sheets."

And I die.

Revision; the most painful ending of any subject.

"Oh come on!" I heard someone groan. "Come on, I want this done before you leave or you aren't leaving to your next class. I'm free next period." His forehead creased as he gave his signature look.

Jackson was the definition of not caring how many people hated him.

And he did a pretty good job. I sighed and began working on the sheet.

The three of us got out with a proud smile on our faces because we had just escaped maths class. That was 2 periods ago, meaning, lunchtime..

Lunchtime, that has become almost like drama time.

For a person who had bulimia, I have suffered in the hands of food.

But I crossed my fingers and hoped today wouldn't be one of those days. Nothing had happened the entire week so hopefully, today it wouldn't be anything different.

I sat down with a strangely huge appetite, my non meaty pizza was staring right at me as if it knew where it was going. I first had a sip of my Pepsi before closing it up once again. "I should really stop drinking soda."

"We've been telling- whoa.."

"What?" I furrowed my brows. "Vine? Yo are you-"

"Ladies." I heard an unfamiliar voice. I turned to look behind my shoulder and I found three familiar faces looking straight at us. "Gentlemen?" I playfully said but confusion still lingering at the back of my head.

"May we join you?" Now I was even more confused. Our table was literally at the end of the cafeteria, in the corner, meaning there was a few eyes on us once again but there stood, Darek, Angelo and David. David looked a lot like Sarah because they were siblings.

Yes, baby girl has quite a few siblings.

I never really knew if David noticed the way Darek acted around Sarah but if he didn't, that would confirm that he was even more oblivious than his sister. "Join us?" I almost snorted at the way Sarah's voice sounded.

Her voice was already soft enough and it sounded even weirder as she tried concealing her emotions. "You know what? Sure. I mean, come on Sarah, it's your brother." I gave  Sarah a mischievous wink. "And we can't forget about Darek."

"And we haven't really been able to discover much of Angelo." I smiled. "So I-"

"It hurts that you forgot about me." I froze. "This is gonna be good." I heard Levine whisper
