Chapter 13 (The Battle With The Hero And The Beast)

"Yes, I am the hero who defeated the blast dragon. Sorry for not telling you it before. Now let me handle the rest."

"YOU ARE HIM?" Yahiro astonishingly asked

"Stay calm kid, you surely don't want this taily beast to eat you right?

Daniel then landed a powerful blow on the tail of the beast that cuts through it and damaged it severely. This made the beast go on its rage mode and it started to evolve and was now a seven tail wolf.

"I guess I shouldn't have triggered the 'tail'. Well no matter, You are fated to die."

Daniel then pulled out a long sword he had and used it to target the beast but it dodged and the beast at a very fast speed attacked from behind which Daniel couldn't undo. As its claws were about to reach Daniel's back, Akari used her ice bullet spell and turned the attack.

"Thank you, kid. You saved my back. Now I shall I ask you to cover my back if you will." Daniel said to Akari.

"Most precisely"

Both of them formed a duo and attacked the beast and injure it as much as they could but every fatal blow was only evolving it and making it more difficult to defeat it.

"THE SPIRITS OF FIRE AND EARTH, HEAR MY REQUEST AND AID ME WITH YOUR COMBINATION UPON OUR CONTRACT, ASTROID SMASH" Akari casted the spell which made a big asteroid hit the beast but it didn't have any effect as upon reaching nice tails, it started to regenerate.

"Listen Akari, if we have to kill this bastard, we would have to combine our most powerful spells and finish it in one blow before it can even regenerate," Daniel told Akari to assist him in a final blow.

"Aye Aye Captian, or maybe hero."

"THE SPIRITS THAT LIE UPON ME AND ASSIST WITH MY VICTORIES, I AGAIN ASK YOU TO LEAD THE WAY AND DEFEAT MY ENEMY, EVERY SPIRIT ART COMBINE AND LEND ME YOUR POWER. ULTIMATE COMBO SMASH" Akari used her demon level spell which drained half of her mana and made a combination of all the spiritual art and on the other hand Daniel with his sword made 10 after images for his final blow

"NOW YOU DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!" both of them shouted as they laid the final blow on the beast and killed it.

"Phew that took so much of my mana, I only have 30 % left. What about you Akari?" Daniel exhaustingly said.

"40% for me. You did all the fighting after all." Akari replied

"Thanks for assisting me. Now for the match, As your opponent is half dead and on the other batch Yahiro has won. Let's have a dual Akari but with your full power form." Daniel challenged Akari with a smirk.

"Hoh, you were able to tell that I wasn't going all out? Fine, I accept your request and I shall defeat you." Akari replied.

"YEAH YEAH I LIKE THAT STUBBORNNESS." Daniel gleefully said.

"So I guess I'll conduct the match," Yahiro said.

"Now then.....THREE, TWO, ONE. START."

As Yahiro shouted start, Akari switched to her level 9 form and was fully prepared.

"That's quite interesting. It's just like a reawakening." Daniel complimented

"But will that be enough to hold me?" Daniel asked.

"HERO OR WHATEVER. BRING IT ON." Akari replied

Akari and Daniel drew their swords and in an instant, their blades were making contact with each other and hit in a force enough to make any man fly. The force that was used was extremely extraordinary and the cuts of the blade were felt even beyond the diameter of 100 meters.

Both legends were fighting at an unimaginable speed and their encounters were making the ground shake. The stage was already broken but the spirits weren't. The mana drawing from them could make anyone sick. But the real battle hadn't been even started.

"Let the battle begin," Daniel said with a smile.

Both drew all their mana into their swords and every hit caused the wind to burst. There was flame coming from every hit and the combatants were fighting with all their force. The land was destructive and nobody could stand it. But it was consuming so much mana from both of them and that's when they decided to launch a final blow.

"Whose sword breaks first loses. Is that okay with you?" Daniel asked

"Sure. Bring it on."

Daniel put all his power into that one blow and Akari used his terminal combination of fire and bolt into the sword and used some earthing. As they both did the final blow. It was in an instant. Both swords broke but the first one to break was...Daniel's.

"I can't believe it. You took down a hero without awakening, Just who are you?" Daniel was surprised.

"I'm just a spirit who has been drawn into a rage and wants to resemble the laws of this world," Akari replied.

"If you had evil intent, I would've called the reinforcement and arrested you but you truly are worthy of this. I hereby accept my defeat. You should be proud as you are the first one to ever defeat me." Daniel said

"I thank you for your concern and with all respect, I wanna say that no matter who you are, a hero, a demon lord, or god, I shall take you down if you get in my way," Akari replied

"Haha, I like that attitude of yours. I hope you succeed in conquering your dream. Now then, I take my leave. Thanks for the fight, I had never felt this intensity before." Daniel said

"If you looking for an opponent, you can come to me anytime," Akari replied.

Now as Daniel had gone, Akari and Yahiro went to receive what they fought for which was the ultimate awakening. But there was a danger of one losing its life during it so they were cautious and nervous.
