Author's Note

Hello everyone.

Thanks for accompanying me on my journey... or perhaps Mikhail's journey. (^^)/

I can't believe it's been 50 chapters already! On the other hand... chapter 50 was supposed to be released today but I published it by accident. (=_=')

Honestly I've been slow in updating chapters unlike the past, due to time constrains. I only have one day to write and think of chapters. Big sed. (T^T)

Throughout these two years, I've managed to make it here! Whoo! And it is all thanks to your interest in my story! It gives me the opportunity to improve my writing and keep you entertained as well.

It's been on my mind for quite some time as well but would you like a small QnA session? Just drop your questions here and I'll slot it in another authors note.

Even after changing the links and what nots, I still see some familiar readers and it really warms my heart. For example, Jyojiko, Elliemae, Jc pancakes, etc.

Writing on the new platform had me a little sad because I couldn't keep track of my reader's comments or see who voted like before. However, I do check from time to time so I'm really happy to see some comments from readers.

Nevertheless, all my readers are precious to me and I wouldn't be here today without them.

Late updates?

Oh those.

I update lesser these days because I am still in my internship. It'll be over in a few weeks' time but I still need to write my report so it'll still be one chapter updates for now. (^^')

Updates will return to two chapter a week in late September if all is well. Hmm... maybe an additional chapter on one of the early weeks because my birthday falls on it too. Heehee.

In regards to privileged chapters I don't have any at the moment but am considering it if I can have a stable writing period and if there are readers interested in it. Drop a comment here if you're interested! XD

Well now. A little recap on the timeline.

Mikhail's mother Diane is MIA as she has been abducted by the divine beasts back in the forest at Tefflander. She will be alright... probably. But of course it will be too much of a spoiler if I give it away. (>w<)

William the crown prince met a mysterious person who left him an ominous message. Meanwhile, the position he holds as the crown prince restricts him from doing what he wants as he needs to govern the country while his father and mother are away.

Xander is currently bed ridden and is holding onto a thread as he struggles against the poison which slowly eats away inside him. Of course he has trained his body against poison and toxins as royalty, however the Everfrost Dying Wish Poison is highly potent. Hence, he is having a tough time combating it. If normal people were to get in contact with it, they would die in minutes.

Lilith, the mysterious Queen of Enoch who seems to be pulling the strings seems likely to be a puppet herself. Or could she be an actual master manipulator and every action she does, even serving beneath Valjean, be part of a master plan? It's too soon to say, yet her role is yet to end.

Susie... now she is a pretty complicated character for me. I have a love hate relationship with her. My friend hates her though. Hahaha! If you are asking why I said she was actually a guy but never bothered elaborating, it's honestly because I'm still thinking of the best way to reveal a backstory for her. Susie started out as an evil side character, yet she grew on me and I decided to keep her, much to some readers chagrin.

Susie plays a role as Mikhail's companion and acts as a bridge that links Mikhail and Xander. Xander does not get along with her but their interactions are what enables him to deepen his bond with his son.

Susie grew to like Mikhail from his upright and straightforward attitude, despite the situations or predicaments he is in. She finds such optimistic views to be precious and vows to protect his belief.

Thinking of Mikhail's words which broke her from her shackle to see past her mistakes and the error of her way, she grew infatuated with him and gets riled up at any sight of a potential romantic candidate.

Those are the few current characters that play a huge role in the story. If you're planning to ask me where is the romance though?

That's... a good question. Even I am asking myself the same. The love interest had been introduced in the earlier chapters but might not have played too big of a role. She will be officially added soon.

The task at hand to obtain the Lavamore flower is all that preoccupies Mikhail's mind. He is unlikely to find his glasses tinted pink anytime soon.
