Chapter 17, Quest Completed

As I reached the limit my body can withstand for now without exploding, I stopped in my place and begin to stabilize my body and adjust to the pressure so I can start my cultivation.

It took me about 15 mins to reach this place and another 10 mins to stabilize myself and reach the best condition of my mind and body.

After that, I looked at my hands and transformed my fingers into dragon claws, and then I looked at my body with a hidden bitterness at the pain I will experience. Being used to receiving pain or having high pain tolerance doesn't mean that he loves experiencing it often.

"Here goes nothing," and just like that I slashed at different vital parts of my body where blood moves, of course, I didn't slash all the important vitals like the heart so as not to kill myself in the process.

And just like that I had to meditate and wait for all the blood in my body to be drained before I start absorbing the bloodline energy around me and the Gin in the atmosphere.

I had to wait for another 30 mins before I bled all the blood in my body, and during this 30 minutes I had to prevent myself from losing consciousness and my focus so I can start refining my marrow by absorbing the energy the moment I bleed out all my blood, now I look like a shriveled corpse.

It took me 30 seconds before the energy started coming from around me and entering me in waves which formed a hurricane around me in the lake that began to take shape above my head from the amount of energy absorbed by my body.

As the energy begin entering my body, it started moving through my meridians, Flesh, Viscera, Muscles, and bones of my body and started nourishing them with the pure bloodline energy in the pool as that strengthened my already strengthen the body to an extra level, then the energy moved until it reaches my marrow, and here is where the real pain begins.

"Ughh" I grunted from pain then gritted my teeth to withstand the pain of bearing the energy that is trying to penetrate deep into my marrow and temper it while refining the blood that is going to be produced later to be purer than it was before.

And just like that, I spent the next 22 hours wrestling with the pain of feeling like millions of ants are digging into my body, after 22 hours passed I have already finished tempering my marrow by 60% and left the remaining 40% to do them later as my mother told.

Then I moved my tired body from the bottom of the lake and swam until I reached the top of the pool mother was still waiting for me apparently beside the lake because she scoped me immediately with her power and took me to my room to rest without asking any questions, as my tired expression was evident to her.

I spent the next two days sleeping from being mentally and physically drained, and after waking up I felt like a new person, my body seem to contain so much strength for the stage I was currently in.

After checking my body, I went to my mother to assure her that I was okay, after searching for a while in the palace, I found her in her study.

DING~DONG

After knocking on the door, I heard a soft voice from inside,

"Enter".

After opening the door and entering the room, I saw my mother sitting on her chair behind a large desk filled with so many documents all over the table.

"How are you doing now?" my mother asked with concern evident in her voice.

"I feel refreshed and much stronger than before so I feel it was worth it, all the pain I have endured down there," I replied with a small smile on my face while feeling warm in my heart.

"Let me ask about something else for now, Will you join the academy when you reach 16?" mother asked with a curious tone.

"I am actually curious from sister's stories about the academy when she used to visit here, but I don't know, I will think about it when the time comes and sees how far my cultivation would be at the time."

"Okay, you can go now if you want,"

"Right, when will sister return from her exploration of the secret realm recently discovered?"

"The secret realm should still have many places unexplored so she will take a while to come back, why are you asking? Are you missing your older sister already?" she said with a smile on her face.

Only less than half a year remaining before the time limit ends and I lose the rewards, so I better hurry up and reach the peak in the next few days.

After spending the next five days tempering the remaining 40% of my marrow with Gin from the atmosphere I finally broke through and reached the peak Body Strengthening Realm, to break through the Core Formation realm, I will have to gather the energy in my body with the energy from the atmosphere and compress it into two places according to the 'Freedom Manual', one place is where the cultivators usually form their cores is the lower dantian and the other place which is added to the manual is my heart which needed complete focus as I needed to complete them at the exact same time to not miss the timing because if I missed the timing the core forming in my heart will explode while killing me in the process.
