Chapter 11: Wizarding World Update

This chapter is kind of an explanation chapter so I don't bog down the next couple of chapters with tons of boring stuff. It will give you a feel of what the next couple of chapters are going to hold. Next Chapter the real battle with the Hollow is going to begin. I want to have her finished and taken care of quickly though so expect the next couple of chapters to be fast-paced and action-packed.

London England

It had been almost eight months since the Potters had dropped their unwanted mistake off on Lilly's sister and things have been great.

To the public, Ryson was undergoing specialty training and emersion into Light Magic. This way he would walk the path of a Light Wizard and be a force for good. The sheep ate the lies up and the second child of the Potters would be forgotten for many years until Rita Skeeter decided to do some digging, but that is a story for later on.

Jamie was everyone's hero and was adored by all. His parents even signed a contract with Gilderoy Lockhart to start his own book series. The first book was to be released on his birthday. Stores also paid handsomely for him to say that he liked their products. To put it mildly, Jamie was living the life of a child celebrity.

His best friend Ronald Weasley loved being able to say he was friends with THE BOY WHO LIVED. Neville Longbottom hung around the two of them but only because his grandmother made him. He didn't like Jamie or Ron. Ron and Jamie loved to race their brooms and play Quidditch while Neville liked to work with the plants in his greenhouse.

Ron's sister Ginny loved Jamie and Jamie thought she was cute and fun to hang around with. This in turn got their parents to sign a betrothal contract between the two of them. The contract was just a simple one and could easily be broken if the two decided they didn't like each other like that in the future. The main thing the contract did was protect Jamie from other contracts.

About six or seven months after they left Ryson at the Dursley's, Lilly could have sworn that she felt his magic. She couldn't understand what had happened and the feeling disappeared just as quickly as it had come. Ever since that night, she swore she could sometimes feel what felt like echoes of somebody else's emotions.

Every time it happened it only lasted for a couple of seconds so she could never determine where they were coming from. Over time the emotions came less and less until she completely forgot about them.

Sirus Black as always was right there with James in the thick of everything. He went from the unwanted Black Heir to the best friend of the father of the world's savior overnight. He could get any witch he wanted now, and he was just enjoying living life as a bachelor.

Remus Lupin was another story. Ever since Remus had learned that James and Lilly were neglecting his cub his life had taken a turn for the worst. His wolf was beyond pissed at the treatment of his cub and so was he. For the first time in his entire life, Remus and his wolf were in sync. The first full moon after the revelation Remus was found by the Potters circling their manor trying to rescue his cub.

It was then that Remus was banned from coming to their house and he would never be able to see Ryson ever again. This enraged him and his wolf. Remus did something that he never thought he would do, he sought out his own kind. To recuse his cub and protect him, he would need to be better than he was now. It took months of going from forest to forest for Remus to finally find a semi-friendly pack that was willing to listen.

Remus was welcomed into the pack and he began his training. The first lesson he learned was how to commune with his wolf through mediation. Doing this would allow the human side of him and the wolf side to merge. This would allow the wolf and the human to become one and he could even achieve a full transformation instead of a wolf-human hybrid one. Now, this was not easy. Out of the whole pack, only two wolves had been able to merge with their wolf.

This was caused by the human and wolf side having a difference of opinion on a lot of things both wolf and human had to be in perfect harmony. Remus was the third to completely merge and he did it the fastest. It was believed that the wolf side helped more than usual due to him wanting to protect his cub. In under 6 months of Ryson's 3rd birthday, Remus had his first full transformation and stayed in complete control the whole night. Another side effect of this was that he could now transform any time just like a regular animagus. However, his bite could still turn people into wolves. (Think of now more like the wolves off the show Bitten.)

The next thing on his list was completing his muggle education so he could provide for his cub. He began classes to achieve his A-Levels (GED in America) and got a part-time job. He still lived with the pack in the woods and even got his own cabin. He took a portkey to London every day for work and class.

His cabin was a two-bedroom, one for him and one for his cub, and an open floor kitchen, dining room, and living room. Each bedroom had a bathroom and a small closet. It was small but it was home.

Two years after he had been banished everything was finally in place. He just had to wait for his chance to rescue his cub. Unknown to him the Potters had given Ryson to the Dursley's three months before he deemed himself ready to bring Ryson home. (Ryson contacted the school two months after being dumped at the Dursley's)

When Remus learned of the special training and emersion into Light Magic he knew it was all a lie. He could smell James bullsh** a mile away. For the first time in two years Remus showed up at the Potter's Manor and the conversation was one to be remembered.

"WHERE IS MY CUB?" Remus yelled.

"He is safe doing some training and being emers…." James said but was interrupted by Remus.

"YA RIGHT JAMES. DON'T FORGET THAT I RAN AROUND WITH YOU THROUGHOUT SCHOOL. DID YOU REALLY THINK I CAN'T TELL WHEN YOU ARE LYING? NOW ONE MORE TIME. WHERE IS MY CUB." Remus yelled.

"Fine then wolf." James spat "That mistake of a monster is somewhere where he will learn his place and understand who his betters are. When he comes to Hogwarts he will understand that he is nothing but an unwanted basta…" James was again interrupted by Remus tackling him to the ground and beating the crap out of him.

The Aurors were called and Remus was sentenced to 5 years in Azkaban for assaulting the Lord of an Ancient and Noble house. He would get out three months before Ryson was supposed to attend Hogwarts. His pack heard of this and wanted to rip that Wizard to shreds but instead spent their energy trying to locate their pack mate's cub.

Mystic Falls - Salvatore Transition Cells

Marcel awakens after the magic is pulled from him, only to find that he is still magically sealed in the cell, however, he is not alone. A young boy around 5 or 6, with dirty blonde hair with brown and blonde highlights, and blue eyes, is standing outside the bars with a massive wolf pup beside him. Behind him stands a pair of twins, (Jasmine and Jasper), both look to be about 10 years old, with curly blonde hair, and blue eyes. If he didn't already know that the youngest is Klaus's son he would have guessed the three of them were siblings.

"You hurt my family" Ryson speaks and Coal growls at him.

"Your family hurt me first," Marcel says.

"Wow," Ryson says "Did you attend a pre-k class to get that comeback. Look I don't care what my family has done to you in the past, as of right now if you try to hurt my family again, I will make it my personal mission to destroy everything you have built for yourself. Then as you are kneeling in the ashes of what used to be your life and only then will I end your miserable excuse of a life. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

As Ryson was making his speech the shadows of the basement began to grow and surround the kids. The temperature also dropped and Marcel swore he could feel ice forming on his skin. By the time Ryson asked his question the children were covered in shadows and the only thing Marcel could see of them was the glow of their eyes.

Just what the hell kind of spawn did Klaus produce this time, Hope was scary enough with that prophecy done before she was born about her ending the witches, but this was something else. The only thing he could do was agree to the child's terms. As soon as the agreement left his lips everything went back to normal as if nothing had happened.

Like a switch had been turned in the child's head his face went from murderous to joyous in under a second.

"Great" Ryson said cheerfully before he snapped his fingers and they were gone in a burst of shadows. Before Marcel could blink he was alone in his cell.

Unknown to Ryson or Marcel, Klaus was watching the whole interaction. As of that moment, multiple emotions were fighting against each other inside him. First: Klaus was so proud that his son would stand up and protect his family. Second: Klaus was feeling very guilty about how he had treated Marcel over the last couple of years. Third: Klaus was worried that his son would go down the same path that took him over 1,000 years to get off of. He didn't want that for any of his children.

For the moment though Klaus pushed everything to the back of his mind and strode confidently towards Marcel's cell.

"Well, well, well, look how the mighty have fallen Marcel," Klaus said as he stopped in front of the cell's door.

"What come here to gloat, or perhaps make a couple of death threats," Marcel said.

"To gloat," Klaus said "I believe MY SON has taken care of threatening you. He still has a few things to learn in that department but overall he did a marvelous job for his first time."

"Ya your son," Marcel said while walking closer to Klaus "Want to tell me how that is possible, oh and by the way congrats on starting him in on the family business earlier than you did me."

"Oh I would love to," Klaus said "However that story is reserved for family. Something which you are no longer a part of and as a matter of fact that little display was all him. He is definitely a Mikaelson unlike some."

Klaus began to walk away before stopping to look at the man he had raised.

"It might not mean much Marcellous" Klaus said "But I am truly sorry for how things have turned out for you. I wish things could be different between us."

Without another word, Klaus walked out.

It had been decided that to protect the children, this spirit had to be stopped. They had to return to New Orleans. Ryson and Hope were left with Alaric and Caroline at the school while Elijah, Klaus, and Freya went back to New Orleans.

Ryson was a little worried but had faith that his family would defeat this spirit and then they could be a proper family. Alaric and Caroline believed that this would be a good time to start on Wizarding Magic for two reasons. First, it needed to be done, and second, it would serve as a distraction for the kids.

Emma had done extensive research in the last six months and she had come across a potion that would rapidly mature a child's magical core. Now this potion was labeled as a dark potion and outlawed in the Uk. If a child wasn't ready to handle their magic then they ran the risk of magic rejecting the child and slowly killing them. The Dark Wizarding families didn't care and it was an unofficial right of passage on their 8th birthday.

It would take about a week for the potion to expand and stabilize. The good news is that when this potion is used the children's core will have more time to grow before their last magical growth spurt at 17. In simple terms, the children would have more magic than their peers.

Ryson would go first. Then the next week Hope would take it, then Josie, then Lizzie, Cal, and then Daniel. Within 7 weeks all the witches in the coven-pack would have access to both their wizarding and Wiccan magic. Now they would not be able to try casting until they got their wands, which was planned at the end of the summer. This gave them a couple of months to get used to having both types of magic unlocked before they began to use their core.

This also meant that Ryson could now truly start teaching them Occlemency.

They were going to go through the goblins and have a custom wand maker under a magical contract come to the school. This way each child was paired with a perfect matching wand instead of the mass-produced wands like at Ollivander's.

They also had to find a wizarding magical teacher for the kids for the start of school. The goblins said they had a person in mind but it would take a bit to get them in place due to them being in a difficult position.

At Alaric's request, Axetooth tracked down Ryson's godfather Remus Lupin. Remus would be the perfect person to teach Ryson due to the loyalty the wolf has already shown Ryson and his separation from the Potter's.

Remus was already bound by the godfather oath he took so adding on a magical contract would be a piece of pie. The only drawback was that Remus was currently sitting in Azkaban. The good news for Remus was that he was a werewolf and that allowed Axetooth some loopholes to get him out. At the end of the last goblin and wizarding war, a clause was put in place in the treaty. Any dark creature that was placed in Azkaban could be bough by Gringotts for a set amount as free labor in their mines for the remainder of their sentence. This meant that the Ministry didn't have to deal with them, they got some extra cash, and Goblins got free labor for a few years.

Usually, when the goblins did this they would charge the inmate an insane amount for room and board, plus feeding fees and clothing fees. In the end, the inmate would be indebted to the goblins for years after their actual sentence had ended. Not to mention the amount they paid their human miners was barely enough to get out of the debt.

If Axetooth played his cards right then Remus would soon be in goblin custody. Then instead of being sent to the mines, the school could buy his contract from Gringotts and he would serve out his sentence as a teacher for them. This way the Ministry of Magic believed that the dark creature was being tortured in goblin mines while in reality, Remus would be teaching magic to children. Now all Axetooth had to do was start the paperwork and within the month Remus should be settling into the teacher's quarters.

New Orleans

It didn't take long for the Mikaelson's to make it to New Orleans. As they drove past the Welcome sign The Hollow would have smiled if she had had a body. Everything was falling into place. Now with the Mikaelson's within her grasp she could use one of them to power the spell for her body after she got all of her bones collected.
