A Lone Assault

"Aah!" Running through a corridor between two large buildings, the Boss of the Purple Lotus group Shen decimated had made it back to their base. Leaving that corridor, he finally relaxed as he was immediately stopped by two people standing guard. They were dressed in the Purple Lotuses uniforms as they recognized the man who had run into their territory.

"Cedric, what's wrong with you. You're sweating like you saw a ghost." Cedric panted as he looked behind him and sighed in relief. "I- I need to talk with the Boss. Where is he?" One of the Members guarding the corridor pointed to the Warehouse next to them. "We got a new shipment recently, so the Boss is overseeing the whole thing."

Hearing that, Cedric nodded as he passed them and walked turned the corner. Kuchinashi city followed traditional eastern architecture when it came to buildings. As such, there were no massively tall buildings, just ones that took up a lot of space. They had taken over this section of the city by buying a large warehouse and the surrounding houses and buildings.

As such, this entire place was being guarded and was the safest place for them. Dealing in vehicles, mostly military, they also used that to their advantage. They had turned their section of the city into a complete stronghold that was almost impossible to invade forcefully. Having calmed down when thinking about it, Cedric made his way to the Warehouse building.

Two large gates and a wall separated the warehouse building from the outside. Walking through those gates, he saw dozens of men moving and loading boxes full of various parts."Ah, Cedric you're finally back. What did Torchwick want?" Overseeing the whole operation, a man smoking with fairly long black hair and a calm complexion looked at Cedric.

Wearing a dark purple suit, he watched Cedric walk over to him. "Taupher, I ran into an issue." Hearing that, his eyes narrowed as Cedric began describing what happened. Meanwhile, on the edge of their territory, Shen had already arrived. "Let me go…" Lying at his feet were three members of the Purple Lotus, with one being held by his collar in his hands.

'All of these guys are worth almost double what Schnee's security was.' Including those six he killed at the start, Shen had made around 690 XP from killing them plus the three at his feet. He knew they must have been worth a lot from what he felt from killing them. But looking at the System displaying the numbers, Shen's eyes shone.

"L1, these guys are weaklings, so even you two should be able to handle them. L2, you help them but don't lose that briefcase Torchwick gave me. It's worth more than your life. I'll handle the warehouse myself, just capture the rest and bring them to me when you're done." With that, Shen threw the Purple Lotus Member in his hand into a nearby stone wall cracking it.

Both L1 and L2 nodded as they drew their weapons from their sides. "As you wish." Without hesitation, the two of them began to move. In the end, they were Lieutenants of the White Fang and were capable of utilizing Aura. That aside, they both had semblances and only lacked true Huntsman training.

Having dealt with that, Shen began to make his way towards the warehouse. It didn't take long after his arrival, and orders L1 and L2 for alarms to go off. Back in the warehouse, Cedric had already finished telling his Boss about Shen and what had happened. "The White Fang? I see that they must have been interested in Torchwick. Still, we shouldn't be too worried if they only sent the-"

Before he could finish speaking, the ground trembled slightly as everyone heard an explosion go off in the distance. "Boss, look!" One of the members of the Purple Lotus pointed east to a large pillar of smoke rising into the air. "Was there some kind of accident? Did we have any explosive shipments in that area?"

When they heard Taupher ask this question all of them shook their heads. Suddenly a message came through on his scroll as he took it from his pocket. "Boss! Where under attack! They're ripping through us!" Gunfire could be heard in the background of the message. It sounded as if the person recording it was in the middle of a war.

"Use your grenades damit! Wait don't-" The message was cut off as those last few words played. "Shit!" Cedric cursed as he heard his boss speak with a calm expression. "All of you secure the warehouse and then gather our men and move to the east. I don't know what idiot is trying to spark a war with us but they got their wish."

Back where Shen was fighting, multiple voices were screaming. "Shoot him, somebody shoot him!" A group was lined up on the street holding rifles in hand. All of them were staring at a figure dashing towards them as they opened fire. "Heh." Running along the ground Shen bent don'ts before jumping into the air. "Tangle!"

Life Fiber's fired out of his hands in every direction grabbing hold of every person around him. "Huh!" The gunfire was stopped as the people Shen wrapped up struggled to break free. Twisting his body in mid-air like a top all of them were ripped from the ground and thrown in different directions.

Some slammed into one another as others were crushed against the nearby walls of buildings and flung through windows. Landing back on the ground Shen looked around him. All the fighting had caused a lot of damage. Some places were on fire while others were on the brink of collapse.

Looking down at his body he had a couple of bullet holes that pierced through his arms and stomach. He didn't feel pain, he wasn't exactly sure why but didn't mind it. However, by exerting themselves slightly those holes began to heal themselves. With enemies at this level, there was almost no risk of him dying unless he was hit in an extremely vital area.

"Ugh…" One of the people Shen had taken out with his tangle was clinging onto his life. Lying on the ground bleeding, his gaze was unfocused as he looked towards Shen. "You… Damn monster." Reaching into his pocket he struggled to pull something out. It was a cylinder device with a green button on the top.

Pushing the button the man grit his teeth and threw it with all his might toward's Shen. "Hmm?" Hearing something, Shen turned around and saw the device flying towards him. Without hesitation, Shen lazily grabbed it and looked towards the man who threw it. "You dropped this." With a swift toss, he threw it full force toward the man.

"Ugh." His eyes widened as the device landed next to him and the green glowing button turned red. The next moment it exploded violently with a mix of fire and lightning. 'A Dust grenade huh?' As the man's body was engulfed and turned to ash the flame's flickered and reflected in Shen's eyes.

[Level Up!]

Shen smiled as he heard the notification. 'And the rewards just keep coming in. I'll have to wait when it comes to allocating my points though. I did say I would finish this in an hour.' Back at the warehouse, the situation was grim. All the reinforcements Cedric and Taupher had sent to the east to deal with the intruder had not reported back.

The sound of fighting slowly grew quiet and now only them and the remaining members of the Purple Lotus were at the warehouse. "Shit how did this happen? We had this entire area secure and they broke through without an issue!" Cedric's curses were accompanied by agreement from his boss Taupher standing next to him.

"The only possibility is that someone hired a Huntsman to take care of us. And not a normal one either, they must be a pro." Hearing that Cedric looked at his boss. "So… Should we?" Taupher narrowed his eyes as he spoke. "We hired him to guard the warehouse in case of emergencies. Having him actually fight would be extremely expensive."

But at the end of the day if their entire base is destroyed and ransacked they'll be done for. At this point, any price would be small compared to the end result. "He's usually sleeping inside. Cedric, go get him and tell him we're willing to pay his price. BUT only after he defeats the enemy." Cedric gave a hesitant nod as he turned and ran into the warehouse.

Everyone within the walls surrounding the warehouse was on edge. Their weapons were primed and they were sweating. 'To drive us to this point… Just who.' Taupher's question was soon answered as a loud bang rang out from the gate. A single side of the gate was twenty feet tall with both were close to that size in width as well.

Being made of wood and reinforced with metal each one easily weighed a ton if not more. However, the banging continued and each time the gate seemed to shift on its hinges. "What kind of monster?" A member of the Purple Lotus had his eyes widened as he suddenly heard the banging stop.

"Did… Did they give up?" The question was answered by someone's laugh. The next second both gates flew off their hinges and were launched through the air. They spun violently as they crashed into the warehouse building breaking through the roof. "So this is the warehouse?" Shen's figure became clear through the dust he had kicked up.

Lowering his leg he walked through the now broken gate. Everyone there got a clear look at Shen and couldn't believe their eyes. He was young and could be mistaken for a teenager yet the fact he kicked open the gate proved he was strong. It also showed he was most likely the one who was attacking them.

"The White Fang?" Despite Shen's customized clothes, Taupher could see the White Fang insignia on his chest along with his 'Faunus' appearance. An immediate thought came to his mind as he spoke to Shen. "Did Torchwick tell you to attack us? Are you two in some sort of deal?" Shen didn't answer Taupher as he looked at him.

"Are you the one in charge?" Taupher responded without hesitation. "Yes, I am the leader of the Purple Lotus. Whatever Torchwick is-" Once more Shen ignored his words and spoke over him. "In that case, this should be easy. Surrender without a fuss and my plans will go over a lot easier."

Shen said that with a calm expression with no intention to say anything else. The fact he said 'My Plans' meant he was acting on his own or at least under the White Fang's orders. Taupher bit his lip as before a voice caused a sense of relief to wash over him. "You guys are really having this much trouble dealing with a sheepish brat?"

A figure walked out from the warehouse with Cedric following behind. Cedric had a smile on his face when he spotted Shen. "Looks like the White Fang came barking up the wrong tree this time." Moving off to the side Shen's eyes contracted a bit. 'Looks like It wasn't a waste of time to do all that research after all.'

Shen did a thorough search of Huntsman that could cause him trouble. And a few of them were marked down by the White Fang as troublesome. One of those sed Huntsman was the man Shen saw standing in front of him. 'Someone who's close to Qrow's level. I didn't expect these guys to have hired someone like him.'

Keeping his outward composure Shen spoke confidently despite the Huntsman's appearance. "I wasn't expecting to meet Zaff Aero while dealing with this lot." Hearing his name, Zaff took the lollipop from his mouth. He had a disheveled appearance with messy blonde hair and fairly raggedy-looking clothes.

"Heh, you recognize me? What? Are you a fan?" He laughed when he said this as Shen shook his head. "Not exactly… I enjoy keeping note of famous Huntsman just in case I have to kill them later on." A chuckle came from Zaff hearing Shen's words. "I see, I see. Well then please, kill me."

Reaching for the handle on his back a black double-bladed sword appeared in his hands. It would look totally normal if not for the strange segments in its structure and its white tip. Standing there lazily it was clear Zaff didn't take Shen seriously. 'Underestimating me on our first meeting? Good…'

A smirk appeared on Shen's face as he released a burst of speed.
