Chapter Nine : New Adventures To Seek

Juli had arrived to her family's mansion. Her mother, Countess Han Eva, had been preparing to welcome her, for days. She was a beautiful elegant woman of the water element. Smooth and sensitive but flow beautifully with people. The daughter was still young when she had left her alone in that huge house that her father left it for them. The countess remained strong for her sake to protect her baby and give her the love she had missed from her father.

"Mom!" Juli ran out of the carriage toward her mother's embrace, shedding tears of happiness.

"Darling! I missed you so much," Hugged her tightly as the maids surrounded them to welcome her too. "How have you been? You've grown up so beautiful. You surely have my beauty," Continued Eva holding her and heading to the huge lobby.

"I'm alright mom. See, I'm a knight finally!" Sat down both of the noble women smiling hugely.

"I'm so proud of you my little baby. Surely your father is too," Cried the mother hugging her again.

"Yeah. He surely is," Sadly spoke when the head of the maids asked to get in.

"Welcome back, knight Juli," Bowed the maid smiling. "Countess Han, the dresses are here. Everything is ready beside packing."

"Leave them. We'll take care of the rest," The mansion lady ordered as her daughter wondered about what was going on. "Eh. Nothing my dear. Let's go have a meal, you've lost too much weight," Continued the countess holding Juli and going to the dinning room.

Sinian had left Jaelin in her chambers, that afternoon. They had a meal together and had given her a list of books to bring from the library of the palace. She had never enjoyed a male's company before him. He was a gentle demon in her eyes, not knowing about him trespassing her body. He was a secret admirer, doing things undercover, protecting her in the name of love though he had no idea what was that feeling about.

The next morning, Jaelin woke up excited for the beginning of her adventure. Master Jin was surprised to see her in a good mood, though she was punished hardly. It was a warm morning where the sun lightened her room and the fresh breeze hit her shiny beautiful face. She put on her casual pink uniform and tied half of her hair.

"I see you're happy today, unlike yesterday morning, knight Jaelin," Master Jin entered with the morning meal, preparing the table.

"Yeah! I found things to do during these two months and I'm having a partner!" Joyfully the girl replied.

"And who's this partner? Aren't you suspended and prohibited from seeing anyone?" Pretended he knew nothing.

"Not everyone is prohibited, master," She smirked sitting down as he smiled. "The other masters are still mad at me, right?" Continued looking down.

"They'll calm down soon. We want to protect you as much as we can because we're responsible on you inside these walls. You acted foolishly thinking it mattered to do so. The outer world isn't as safe as in here, darling," He advised patting her head then left her reflecting more on herself.

Jaelin held her cup of magical drink that's offered to knights of the nobilities. It was glittering in her eyes when she went with her thoughts, staring at it. "Why did I act recklessly?" She questioned playing with the cup, tossing and turning the drink, then taking a sip.

"You've woken up with a high energy. Was it consumed with the drink?" Sinian appeared surprising her as she smiled.

"I don't let anything to get me down. I'm knight Jaelin, remember?" Smirked the red head girl inviting him for a drink.

"Did you get the books I've told you about?" He asked as a tutor while she nodded.

"I've found two only. The others are considered forbidden. They're in the masters' library section and I can't get in there," She explained taking the last sip of her glittery drink.

"In this case, I'm taking you to our destination. You need to start with 'Breathings of Ziran'. I'll teach you its basics then you can easily understand it," Sinian explained stretching his arms as she kept staring at his body shape and the way he exhaled. He noticed and smiled with a sudden drunken look.

"I see that you didn't sleep well," Noticed the knight getting up of the table.

"You're focusing on me rather than what I've said, Miss Jaelin," He smirked as she turned, about to jump from the window, ignoring his statement. "Don't jump from this height on your own."

He got closer whispering as he put his arm around her waist carrying her and jumped together. She felt her heart pounding like a tickling clock before midnight. Those negative thoughts of hers had left once again because he was around. For her, it was like finding a medicine for sickness time and got affected more by the way he was treating her.

They walked all the way to the secret garden among those old trees and the fresh morning breeze. Laughing and discussing about the Peace Era day and what had happened back then. He told her that even though Yeona was his blood sister, she had always liked Ixin and looked up to him since he treated her specially.

"So, she wanted to prove herself to him to be his subordinate?" Wondered Jaelin, making a weird face expression.

"Yes. I clearly see how much you hate him," He laughed looking at her when she fixed her eyes on his face. As he noticed, she blushed turning to look straight. "Is there anything wrong with what I've said?"

"No! No. It's just my first time seeing you smiling. You've got a charming one," She praised as she found it hard to look at him again. "And yes! I do hate your brother," Continued, feeling awkward about the atmosphere.

"I don't smile usually, but your face expression you've made when I mentioned Ixin made me laugh," He tapped on her head and walked faster to pave the way, leaving her frozen for a while.

They finally arrived to the heart of the garden which was situated in the other side of the palace, close to the night chambers. It was full of flowers and a bunch of rivers in five different colors flowing separately in different directions. Small fiery colored bancs and airy colored designed ones surrounding a small woody colored cabinet made of a huge antique tree that was up on it. Jaelin was mesmerized by how magical it felt in that place. It was like a dream to see that beauty. Other trees were surrounding that small area of the cabinet.

"Won't you get in?" Sinian invited from inside the small house as she got in.

"That's so beautiful! I've never seen such a magical place. I can even feel its auras," She flattered when she kept looking around. Inside the cabinet, there was a small glassy table, its top was made of resin with beautiful designs and mixed of white and dark raven purple like its four chairs. A bed in the corner with dark purpled sheets beautifully designed in white. Four rounded windows and a small kitchen under one of them. On the right side, there were small stairs leaded to a small room inside that huge tree, full of books and precious items as medals and jewelries.

"Do you like this place?" He asked following her upstairs sitting down.

"Absolutely! I've always wanted to build a place like this one. How did you make it?" She wondered happily, looking through books and items.

"I didn't. It was built centuries ago. Ixin and I, put some books here and renovated it. We also made it as our place to practice and train," Replied smiling when she admired him more for those things.

"You must be liking your older brother. You speak highly of him always," The fire diva confessed looking through a small box that was hard to open. "What's this? It looks so antique."

"It's from two thousand years ago. It belonged to king Weiyan. We tried to open it many times, but it can't be opened even with the strongest superpowers," He explained as she was checking its sides. there were different designs of fire and air element and some writings on its base.

"That's weird. Maybe it needs some kind of riddle or a curse was spelled on it that nobody can open it until he is reincarnated," She suggested out of blue while he changed his face expressions.

"So, you read about their legend?" He asked in a serious dark way that it frightened her for a while.

"What legend? What's it?" She questioned curiously when he took the small box, went downstairs telling her to forget about it.

"Let's have something to eat first, then decide on the things you need to focus on," Sinian entered the kitchen bringing out some fresh food and decided on making something hot for her.

"You know how to cook?" Jaelin was surprised as she stood beside him for help. The amount of emotions she had started to evolve inside of her were countless. He, too, was easy-going unlike with others, he had put his guards down around her and was ready to find any solution to have her company. Teaching was one of the methods he had used to keep her around. He knew she lacked few things and was ready to learn new things out of her box to improve herself and abilities.

As they had finished eating, she hurried to help with dishes. It was her first time liking that since she was sharing the air with him. They laughed and joked around at the river's side when she wetted him. They played with water splashing one another and running from each other. He even used his superpower to add a beautiful filter on the atmosphere.

"I've prepared a small list for the things I need to do since I've lost my ability," She spoke, bringing the list out of her pocket. "There are books to read, practicing my xiaofang too, not to forget about the moves."

"You've got a lot to do beside these things that you know before," He started when they were facing each other on that beautiful table, inside the cabinet. "I've prepared a list for you. The kind of books you need to read. Working on your Kung Fu, learning more about your ability and both clans, and before all, you need to learn how to relax and restrain yourself because the rage you've got is more than a fire ability," He continued explaining.

"How's that?" Questioned the diva, crossing her arms on the table.

"You aren't in control of your ability fully. You acted unreasonably because the rage inside of you pushed you to interfere in the fight," The demon calmly explained, putting his chin on is hand and on the table.

"Unreasonably! Are you saying that I've been a guardian at the Lunar Eris for years and still I'm not in control of my ability!" She shouted madly from what he had said when she didn't understand what he had aimed for.

"Look at yourself knight Jaelin. You're acting rashly, that's due to your lack of control of your superpower, and reacting angrily for a simple truth I've mentioned to you."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to shout," She looked down apologizing. "So, all I've been working on went in vain?"

"No, of course not. You will finish your full practice and I'm here to help you," He was staring at her with a look of drowning in hers as she couldn't take her eyes off.

"You're not of a fire element are you?" She questioned calmly.

"You'll discover that yourself," He whispered getting closer to her face, smirked then got out of the cabinet, leaving her frozen with a race of heartbeats that made her breathless for a moment.
