Chapter Five : The Greatest Punishment -part two-

The crowd headed to the main stand of the pavilion, facing the huge doors. Master Hao ordered to bring the 'quchu' potion as Zelo and Levi walked Jaelin out, to stand in the middle, captured by the quchu pillars. They were long with shiny energetically strings that held her hands and legs separately, forming a star with her body. Ixin was facing her and looked so pleased to see her that way. Unlike him, others felt so humiliated to even watch her superpower core being removed, especially because he was going to take it and keep it for himself until he get it back to her.

"Did he have to choose such a punishment?" Zelo asked Levi in a lower voice while chaining her legs and her hands.

"Don't ever repeat such question in front of him. You might be the next one," Warned the night demon whispering.

"She's going to live with no superpowers. That's so harsh," Expressed the fire guy pitying.

"Do your job and be quiet, please," Jaelin spelled coldly not taking off her eyes from Ixin who was smirking all that time, glancing at her coldly.

The two demons backed off to their positions behind Yeona and Jasper, standing on the left side of the stand while the light nobilities were on the right. The demon leader was the only one facing her to remove her ability as Sinian was still at the Pavilion doors behind his brother. Master Jin took the potion to pour it in the quchu glass and sacredly bring it to her.

"Don't worry. I would've helped you to keep few of it inside of you. However, your hexin is taken over by him. I'll take care of you.." Master Jin was whispering, approaching the glass to her mouth.

"I'm not worried. I brought this to myself," Smiled the red head girl and sadly spoke as she drank the potion.

It felt like drinking a neutral energy opposing to her fire ability. Like pouring an icy water on a hot fire to turn it off. She felt pain for a bit not until Ixin extended his hand to charge the pillars with his own lightning superpower to bring out her hexin from the bottom of her soul. She shouted in pain not being able to hold it anymore. Her eyes were turning red as her body was slowly losing the strength to pull itself together. He felt so satisfied by every shout of hers as a sadist enjoying someone's pain. Couldn't help but adding more energy to the power he was releasing to make it fast for her. She did her best to resist since she had already challenged him in her mind, convincing herself that it won't harm her that much.

Sinian had a mind connection with his brother. He could easily talk to him inside his mind which was the only night nobilities who were able to do that because they were demons in the first place, telepathy.

"Stop it! She can't handle more," The younger demon spoke to his brother's mind in worry.

"I thought you shared your qi with her. Why are you worried, brother?" Ixin replied in an evil sarcasm.

"She's a knight! My qi would only help her for few hours and not to recover. You already knew!" He tried to explain calmly but was sure it would give no results.

The fire core of hers was a fiery wildflower in a fire opal gem. Once it was out from her mouth, Ixin widened his eyes and hurried to take it so that no one else would see it, then hid it inside his pocket. Jaelin couldn't take that intense energy being out of her and controlled by another more powerful one. She spitted blood and fainted as Juli ran toward her crying.

"Don't ever get close to her. Not even talking," Ixin warned speaking his brother's mind while the other one felt mad because he couldn't stop him from punishing her.

The crowd was so sorry to see her being carried to her room in such a terrible weak state. She had been put on her bed to rest until her pain faded away. Juli felt so mad and hated the fact that her close friend had been treated that way while the masters had done nothing and didn't even speak to defend her. She hurried to get back the hall where they were all sitting in stress.

"Why didn't you do anything! Why have none of you claimed that she wasn't that much of a sinner? She could've gotten a lighter punishment!" Cried Juli standing in front of them.

"She mistook and she had to be punished," Master Shin calmly affirmed and looked down.

"I didn't say she didn't! I said she could have gotten…"

"Enough!" Master Lu interrupted in confusion. "We have no right to interfere with the night leader's judgment. He isn't the light king but the night! You're still naïve to get it. Go back to your room," Continued the old man, holding his head sighing.

"But.." As she wanted to debate, master Jin referred with his head to go back.

Meanwhile, Julian entered the hall with Ethan, Evander and Ian. The look on his face didn't seem that good but like someone who was on fire from anger though he was a calm person mostly, as every nobility who had the water ability. He joined Juli who froze at his presence after bowing.

"You're right. She was supposed to get a lighter punishment but he did that because he's after me," The light king confessed quietly to the blue-haired girl as she turned to face him.

"But why?" Questioned the air diva.

"Follow me," He spelled heading outside the entrance as his subordinates nodded to Juli to follow them.

In the light chambers, which was the mansion situated on the east of the Lunar Eris palace while the night ones were on the west side. Julian entered and sat down on his royal white and gold sofa. The huge chamber was so sophisticated. Golden sculptures and vases as white furniture and transparent tables decorated in gold. Juli had never entered them because it was a bit far from the palace and was not allowed to go there until she became a knight.

"That's so beautiful!" Mesmerized was the air girl looking around from the paintings in the ceiling to those hanged on the wall of the earliest ancestors of the light clan but mostly sculptures and shapes in white and gold hangs in the wall with energetic lights of different elements of nature. Glow air balls and mini water fountains with mini separated flames of fires and plants here and there of rare flowers and species.

It felt like heaven inside that huge chamber and no wonder it belonged to the light king. She was allowed to sit in front of him as his subordinates took other seats on other sofas.

"So, knight Juli. Since when are you friends with knight Jaelin?" Asked the light king looking at her calmly.

"Since I was brought here when I was a child. She was the only one not bullying me because I was the weakest. My superpowers are from the air element and I barely could love it to control it. But she accepted me as I am and defended me even though she was bullied more," Remembered Juli the old times smiling sadly. "Now that I wanna protect her. I feel useless for not stopping them," Looked down feeling sad and lost.

"He's after me because he thinks I'm not suitable for ruling the light clan. Also, the air element isn't weak. There's no such nature element that's weak or less powerful than the other. If you want to improve, practice more. If you need help, I'll do my best to help you," Julian explained comforting. "It's not in your hands to help her or stop the punishment too. I also wanted to interfere. However, that was going to blow things up because a king breaking the rules would be ridiculous and it's what he wanted to reach," The light leader detailed sighing as he poured a glowing drink in his glassy and golden cup, inviting her for a drink.

"She must be unconscious. I wonder why is the night king using her," Murmured feeling sorry, holding her glass to drink.

"He uses every mistake from the light clan to go against me," Laughed Julian staring at her eyes.

He was the ultimate blond type of men that girls would take him as their reference. His straight blond hair brushed to the two sides showing his forehead with his water-blue eyes and reddish lips. A small mole under his right eye and a beautiful smile. Juli kept staring at him. Every detail, every expression he made. She blushed and looked away.

Nobody of the light clan was supposed to see her or meet her except the king. Her best friend wanted to take care of her because she knew the miserable state she was in. Julian convinced her not to go to the Lunar Eris or else she would be trapped and punished. He lead her to her room, assigning her with new tasks to forget a bit about Jaelin.

Jaelin is being so doomed that she can't save herself or avoid this fate.
