Chapter 12 - Wind

Years went by fast for Kaiden and his parents. Kaiden learned to walk and he soon started to try and run more around the castle and explore with either his mother or a maid nearby. Kaiden even started doing push-ups went he saw that his muscles seemed stable enough for him to start training them.

Liam saw Kaiden doing push-ups and made sure his child didn't hurt himself, of which annoyed Kaiden since he would always go until he couldn't and then do more.

If Kaiden wasn't training his body he was exploring, eating, or learning with the tutor that was gotten for him when he turned four.

By the time Kaiden was six and a half, he was already a bit stronger and faster than normal kids his age. Yet, his brother seemed to hate him more and more. Kaiden was never the sappy type in his old life and he wasn't about to change that just for his promise, even if the promise was slowly fading from his mind. If his brother tried to attack him he would kill him.

While Kaiden was thinking about this and running through the castle, as per his routine, he ended up near the throne room of the patriarch like when he was a kid, after all, he never came by here since he was told not to. Kaiden stood in front of that door when he arrived near it and was confused why no one entered it normally.

Kaiden started to walk towards the opening to go inside and as he did he felt that slight pressure like before, he was used to it at this point since it kept appearing. Kay started to smile a little viciously as he reached his hand toward the inside of the room. Yet right before he could do so he felt a dangerous feeling and jumped back without a second thought.

Kaiden didn't see anything in his spot but he felt like it was dangerous to go back to that spot and the pressure on him slightly increased as if it was more interested in him than before.

Before he could do anything his Father saw him and yelled at him, "Kaiden, What the hell are you doing here? You know this room is off-limits for everyone!"

Kaiden continued to stare at the spot as he thought he saw it change before Liam saw it and looked towards his father, "I'm sorry father, I was always curious about this room and wanted to see it." Kaiden walked away after those words. He looked over his shoulder and as he turned back he saw his father bow towards the room and apologize.

'I'm curious as to why everyone bows?' Kay didn't bother to linger on that thought and continued training his body.

The pressure never disappeared so he pushed harder to get it off his mind but it never left, even while he was taking a break, though as he was walking around and remembering good memories from the past life he ended up in front of a tall glass.

'Oh, I remember this. This is the stained glass I saw when I was four months old.' Kay thought to himself before actually admiring the stained glass piece.

Kaiden saw what seemed like a man floating with a huge ray of light on top of him from above the clouds. He even saw what looked like the man moving the air around him.

'Is this like the God most people believe in this world?' Kaiden questioned himself while staring at the piece.

As he was looking at the piece he saw how it was already midday and wanted to continue his training, but he looked at the village surrounding the castle.

'Hmm, it would probably be beneficial to explore outside too, actually, I haven't even been out of this damn castle and I'm not counting the damn garden. I don't want to live my life in a castle for years as I did in my past life.' Kaiden decided with that last thought to do his running outside.

Of course, Kaiden snuck out since he didn't want to have a personal guard with him. When Kaiden got outside a warm smile formed on his face as he took off to explore!

Kaiden made sure to wear a dark cloak since his hair and eyes were a clear indication of who he was.

Kaiden felt incredible as he hadn't come out of a castle in years, besides being dead but he couldn't enjoy it because of his fading existence.

As he was enjoying his run and peacefully smiling, bathing in the warmth of the sun he heard another kid call out, "Hey, I don't remember seeing you around here before!" Kaiden stopped enjoying himself to look at the nuisance that interrupted his fun.

He saw a group of boys that were, obviously, older than Kaiden with smiles on their faces, 'God or whatever is out there, don't give me this cliche bullshit.' Kaiden prayed for the first time in both lives, even if it was a joke.

The one who seemed to be the leader in the front had brown hair and green eyes. He was a bit in the chubbier side and wore a nice set of clothes. He stepped forward with a smile on his face when Kaiden opened his eyes again to look at him.

"I'm the child of Roeson the great Sword Mage, so it is only natural for you to bo-" the kid couldn't finish before Kaiden interrupted his speech.

"Yeah, I'm not bowing to a weakling, so let's not do this okay?" Kaiden was being as sincere as possible to uphold his somewhat reputation even if none of the kids recognized his status.

"How dare you interrupt me! That's it, I'll show you my greatness! Observe my great magic, you dunce fool!" The kid said as he pointed both his palms toward Kaiden.

Kaiden just stood there confused at the kid's words, 'Okay, I'm just going to ignore him, since he isn't worth fighting and I'm just going to go back to the castle before they notice my disappearance. I also forgot that we are in, more so, old ages where people believed in magic and such."

As Kaiden was about to turn away he felt an incredibly dangerous sensation aimed at his head and moved it just in time and a large cut appeared on his cheek and cutting most of the cloaks side showing his eyes a bit more and some of his hair. Kaiden looked at the cut and back at the kid who had a large and satisfied smile on his face.

Kaiden's mind flickered as he ran towards him with his bloodlust boiling. The kids all started sweating and fell to their knees feeling the pressure of his bloodlust.

When Kaiden got the main kid he threw three punches so fast the kid couldn't have even done something even if he tried and fell on the ground and collapsed before Kay started beating his face in more.

After his thirteenth punch, Kaiden stopped after realizing what he was doing and cursed at himself internally for losing his cool so easily because a kid made him feel fear and hurt him.

The other kids could see very clearly who he was since the cloak's hood fell back from the manmad-like punching Kaiden was doing, and that made them more afraid since he could have them all imprisoned or killed.

Though after a few seconds, Kaiden smiled a vicious smile that made the other kids scared for their sakes as they were too scared to move, Kaiden didn't even look at them, he only had one thought.

'This world has magic, that means!' Kaiden thought back to the stained glass piece, 'I could become a God!' Kaiden's smile turned more vicious as battle intent and ambition flowed out of him.

'Now I see why everyone is scared of great grandfather. He must be a powerful man, that also means he was the cause of that weird air pocket from before. Oh wait, please don't tell me it's only air, that'd be unfortunate.' Kaiden thought before looking towards the other kids.

"Scram and take your buddy, oh, and tell everyone not to mess with Kaiden Gremmen or they won't get off as easily as this fool," Kaiden said before heading towards the castle.

As Kaiden was walking back he remembered something, 'Damn, I guess me being annoyed in the darkness made me forget the sister Reaper's words, I forgot I could've gotten a world with magic.' With that thought, he arrived at the castle door.
