Chapter 48: Stone Of Truth II
She dipped her feet in the water and enjoyed the coolness around her feet. Celestiel dipped her feet in deeper, bringing the skirt of her dress up with her hands so she wouldn't get the hem wet.
She found solace in the feel of the water. It was almost as though the water was meant for her. It was that relaxing.
She dipped in deeper, wanting to submerge all of her bare skin in the water. And accidentally, in her bid to enjoy the coolness of the water, she was not careful and ended scraping her feet against the bottom of the lake.
Her feet touched a sharp edged stone and she knew she had drawn blood.
The instant the princess' feet met the stone however, she blacked out. All she could hear after that was a rapid thumping sound against the soil and then someone grabbed her arm.
But she was far too gone to care.
She woke up by the lake, lying on the grass at the bank of the river. Looking around, she found herself alone.
