RAGE I.

"The only way is up." Shuu said as he got inside the makeshift elevator (lift) and pulled the rope with everything he had.

The lift made loud spinning noises as Shuu jostled with the contraption for balance since he went up the mountain at high speeds. The wind was blowing against Shuu's face as he looked up to know when to get off. The lift kept on going for a while quickly but soon decelerated since the acceleration couldn't keep up with his mass but that didn't mean the lift wasn't going faster than the speed limit for normal elevators. After three minutes of 'air travel', Shuu jumped off the lift when he saw a ledge up ahead. He landed and saw a few hundred shirtless and tens of people with full clothes on and a particularly dressed person in front with confused expressions. The person in front whom Shuu thought to be the leader carried the strong scent he decided to follow at the base of the mountain range.

Silence reigned for a whole minute until Shuu decided to introduce himself in English.

"I am Tsukiyama Shuu. I have heard of the greatness and wonders of this school indirectly through whom I believe was once your student." Shuu said clearly. The master looked behind him and called a female student forward. She had long red hair, a slim body, and a rough face but wore fitting black clothes that accentuated her curves. The student approached the master but still stayed behind him and translated what Shuu said in Chinese to the master. The master nodded while maintaining eye contact with the stranger. Shuu tried to probe his level from a distance by trying to feel the way his presence affected the air around him. Normally, one could hide their presence and strength which would hinder such weak methods of probing but that act didn't go unnoticed by the master as he shot a dangerous glare at Shuu and put some of his pressure on the foreigner.

If Shuu's durability and endurance were that of an S-ranked ghoul, even one at the peak, he would have crumbled and become docile and easy to manipulate under the pressure of an SSS-ranked ghoul. Since their (ghouls) emotions are much more elevated than that of humans, their prey-predatory instinct is higher than that of animals. Strength is feared and respected in the world of ghouls. To become a leader of a ward in Japan, you need not only to be smart about it but strong enough to retain that position. The thought of rebellion against your orders and rule is only possible with a stronger opposing force or incredible will and determination or the one rebelling in question is named Arima Kishou.

Shuu's probing had been solved by the person who appeared to be the master of this bunch through his actions on Shuu.

'Tch, a damned SSS rank! Do I just jump down the lift and hope to get away on time? His pressure is trying to get me to bend my head and kneel, I'll have to say that's quite impressive. I can only muster strength to make one decisive move now.' Shuu thought as he eyed the master. The master looked at Shuu with surprise but quickly hid it and approached the foreigner with the female student tagging behind him.

'It is now or never! Fight or flight! Half of the people behind him might be canon fodder but the rest surely aren't. I have worked too hard for myself and the sake of the Tsukiyama family, I can't die here. I have a world to go back to, and a being that needs to take responsibility for putting me here in the first place!' Shuu thought as his eyes widened and his fists balled. He had long forgotten that he even had a kagune since he had pushed plans concerning his kagune behind other plans in his head.

The master saw this and stopped when they were ten metres (thirty-three feet) apart. He spoke to the girl and looked at Shuu.

"Who is this disciple of mine that you 'indirectly' know?" The redhead girl said this time with her kakugan on.

"Kamishiro." Shuu answered with only the last name and saw the master's eyes widen. The master spoke to the girl again and waved his hand around her. She sighed and deactivated her kakugan.

"Where is he? How is he doing?" The girl asked with a frown on her face. Even with that frown on her face she still passed the beauty standards.

"I will only answer if my safety is guaranteed and if I can receive martial arts training from you, sir." Shuu at this point said with a bow towards the master. The girl scoffed at that gesture and spoke to her master after which resulted in a laugh that erupted from the master's mouth.

Shuu was pleased in his mind that things could go well from here but he saw the master move towards him in a swift action. He saw the initial movement the master made but couldn't read the following movements at all. This did not go unnoticed by the ghoul that attacked Shuu as he held Shuu's throat in a vice-grip.

"Ho ho, you Japanese brats aren't bad at all. You could even follow my speed even though I wasn't going all out." The master spoke English which made everyone present surprised but for different reasons. Shuu for one was surprised that he attacked him and spoke English. The spectators and the girl the master left behind were bewildered that someone apart from a student from Japan the master spoke fondly of could barely trace his initial movements and a few movements he made after, only top students in the school could somewhat trace his initial movements but couldn't react to it.

"I am Tien junior of the Di Feng martial school otherwise known as the 'Emperor Wind' martial school. The Wind Emperor himself can't be here teaching lowly ones but I am the next thing to the Wind Emperor." Tien jr said and looked the boy up and down.

"I was wondering why you were so heavy. So, you have already started weighted training methods before coming here? Anyway, it's time to pay the price for using the lift only I can use. If you survive, I'll take you in." Tien jr said with a blank face.

"…You bastard! You wouldn't dare! I'll make you pay for this... I swear it, you are…" Shuu began to fight for his life as he immediately understood what he meant by those words since he was basically at the edge of the ledge. Surely this Tian jr wouldn't try what he was thinking… right?

"Good luck!" Tien said with a smile on his face and threw Shuu down the mountain and away from the sides of the mountain in case he used his kagune.

"I'll remember this even if I die!" Shuu said with rage in his eyes but his attention was grabbed by the fact that he was freefalling at breakneck speed.

'Calm down, calm down…' Shuu thought but then exclaimed loudly in anger. He was about to bet everything on his durability but he wasn't feeling sure of not being turned to paste on the floor or at least unconscious in front of a school of ghouls. He decided to straighten his body and let himself glide towards the thicker parts of the forest where his chances of survival were high.

'I could just crash into those trees and hope I don't get impaled in the stomach or beheaded, death by tree is not the best way to go. This is where knowledge in these matters would have helped me.' Shuu thought as he remembered not paying enough attention in his physics class, but continued diving towards the thicker parts of the forest.

Tree branches snapped and some trees were destroyed and Shuu tried to cushion his fall. He crossed his arms as he tried to protect himself from the thicker branches.

Shuu stopped his descent after resting on some trees that were reclined and on the verge of snapping because of his actions. As mentioned earlier, the emotions of ghouls are exceptionally higher than those of humans, Shuu observed and checked that his body was fine after the fall and was satisfied with the results. Not even a scratch! He then inclined his weight downwards and released to imitate a catapult motion after reaching an angle that could have snapped the thick branches holding him and launched himself forward and up in the skies!

Of course, his air time was short but enough to make him travel from the vegetation to a few metres above the base of the mountain range. From there Shuu needed no invitation on what to do next, it was as if his instinct had taken over. He sunk his hands deeply into the terrain of the rocky mountain and used that as a ledge for his body and launched himself even higher. He repeated the motion with his left hand this time and launched himself higher until he lost to gravity. His anger couldn't contain the slowness of using one arm at a time after a few tries and he began using his two arms in unison like a wild animal. He gained speed this way and was even faster when he used his legs as well.

He reached the part of the mountain where he met the martial school and landed on his feet after doing a flip on his last air launch that landed him on a flat surface. He activated his Kakugan immediately and used presence manipulation at the same time.
