Sudden Encounter

While the girls were already crying, Christy and Christopher's thoughts could be said to be all over the place, as they were left incapacitated. The only medical expertize was the midwife granny, however, her place was pretty far away from their house, even if they took the mull cart it would take too much time to get to her, even if they got there they couldn't imagine how bad their son's condition would have become.

This was one of the reasons that made them, quite helpless. So they could only pray for a miracle to happen at this point.

The more Christy thought the more helpless she became, she didn't know what to do anymore, she would have loved to feed him some herbal soup but she was also afraid something else might just happen again.

Though he didn't know what was going on around him, he felt like his consciousness was slowly fading away. Even his eyelids were becoming heavy by the second, immediately after he felt his vision became slightly blurry.

Tobi was flabbergasted as he looked at the system message in his sight, he thought to himself in astonishment, the system said I had acquired something like a demon Bloodline? what does it even mean demon born? How useful is becoming a demon born helpful to my current condition?

'Seems like previously I saw something like a half-demon, is it a good or bad thing if I accept it? Is this a trap or intentionally done but why exactly is it...?'

He grew up poor and everything he owned for himself he struggled for it, even in the process he had never refused anything that would save his pocket some extra cash.

However, that was a story for when he was still on earth. This foreign world he had appeared in, was too bizarre and crazy for him to overlook anything, and now he was being given something free?

'Huh? It just started counting just like that? Tobi noticed as he was thinking, the white characters on the black screen were slowly changing every passing second.

Now that things had naturally devolved to this, he might as well bite the bullet and ride the bull.

'How am I sure, if I accept, something bad wouldn't happen to me? A system suddenly offering something to me, already sounds SuS. But if I don't accept it what would happen then?'

He didn't need to utter any word outward, he simply thought this in his head. And then, he realized the system started writing more characters.

'Wait wha...?' Before he could complete his thoughts, he noticed his body suddenly felt heavy most especially after reading the last message the system had sent.

With every second, Tobi felt more drowsy but he was being determined not to fall into a slumber because he was afraid something might happen.

For someone who had obviously just rejected the system offer and was experiencing extreme torture and pain, he was already cursing the system.

Also, he was a bit scared of what might happen if he suddenly slept amidst such a dangerous situation. What were the odds of finding a suitable environment to live in? Zero or even More Zeros.

In a dimly lit room, Christy carried the sleeping Tobi in her arms into his cradle, she softly touched his face as she heave a sigh of relief seeing him sleep soundly, before wrapping him up in a thick blanket.

All that happened an hour ago, had given not just her but the entire family a big fright. However, all that seemed to have only been a terrible nightmare, as she watched him sleep.

While Tobi felt unwilling to sleep, nevertheless he had still fallen into a slumber. He was currently In a night of deep sleep, meanwhile, on his body particularly his face.

Slowly but repeatedly little dark slit outlines appeared on his face under his eyes, replacing his tan and tender baby cheekbone.

If anyone was there, they would have been scared sh*tless and would have probably made a huge commotion which would have led to something more troublesome.

While he slept, on his face the two indistinctive little dark outlines, revealed two pairs of dark pupils which could be seen as they trembled and protruded from time to time, as though a pair of budding flowers growing in the summer.

Meanwhile, he seemed to be experiencing something uncomfortable, as he sometimes he would moan, but one couldn't tell if from his pleasure sleep or pain.

However, if he was awake he could have seen the transformation process.
