Chapter Three: Unwanted Bonds

Three hundred twenty eight.Yu had awoken the same day he got to the academy at 2:00 am in the middle of the night, gotten dressed in his workout uniform of black shorts and green headband around his spiky black hair, and come down to the training room.

Although this was the worst academy in the nation it seemed that they spent all of there money on their training systems which were state of the art. When you first walked into the room there was an open area covered in mats for sparing. In the corner a punching bag and weapons rack. Set of to the side was another room where you could spar AI's capable of fighting like humans.

Yu rose and walked over to the punching bag landing a few experimental punches and kicks on the bag to test its weight and composition. He then flew through a few combinations of kicks and punches putting all his anger into the blows. He taught himself to fight at a young age since noone ever bothered to teach him. His own moves were all he had since he had no gift. "Yu Izanami original....kick of the....Indigo Dragon...." Yu said softly clenching his teeth. His foot covered in blue-green aura Yu whirled around landing a jumping roundhouse kick sending energy in the shape of a roaring blue green colored Japanese dragon that knocked the bag off the chain it was attached to sending it flying into the wall wher it exploded sending sand everywhere.

Yu stood alone panting. A thick sheen of sweat covered his body. Yu walked over to the wall where he dropped his towel and whipped his face contemplating his thoughts. He could do some of his family martial arts.... it was just until he proved himself strong enough he couldn't inherit the families secret art. He would prove his worth by winning the tournament. He didn't need friends or family, or anyone to make him stronger, he could do it by himself.

Suddenly a young girl stepped out of the shadows. She had innocent brown eyes, long black hair that turned into a light blue color twords the ends and a moderate sized bust. She wore her own variation of the school uniform, hers being a black blazer that ended in a short skirt showing the tips of her thighs and a gold tie with black and gold socks to match. A long red ribbon draped down from the back of her blazer to the ground and she wore white heels that reached her knees.

" That was....amazing!!!"the girl said with too much enthusiasm. "Was that your family's art...."the girl asked walking up to Yu unannounced. "Who are...you" Yu asked stepping back from the girl as she put her face very close to his. "Oh my name is Myra.... Myra Yamamoto... RANK-A gift: aura manipulation.....who are you?"

"My name is Yu." "No it's not. You is not me!" Myra said cryptically. "Of course I'm not you... I'm Yu!" Yu said with growing frustration. "Oh.... I get it now!" Myra said again with too much enthusiasm. "Your name is Yu...what's your gift..." "I'd rather not talk about it right now..."Yu said, now finished drying his face and walking back over to the training mat." Can we be... friends?" Myra asked putting her finger to her lip in a cute pose. "No..." Yu simply answered as he began to do more push ups. "Why not?" Mira pouted taking a seat on Yu's back. Yu unfased continued his push-ups." Because friends are only a burden to getting stronger....and since I have no gift I must become as strong as I can withought a gift." "Wait, you have no gif!" Myra asked leaping off his back. "Nope not a single one...." Yu answered now doing sit-ups. " How about we spar!" Myra asked." Sure why not..."Yu answered refusing the hand up from Myra. The two sparred well thought the early morning ours slowly forming a bond.
