Chapter Four: First Challenge
Yu and Myra trained well thought the night only stopping when Myra suggested that they go get some food. As soon as they walked out of the training room Yu's eyes changed from blue with black pupils to just plain blue and his attitude changed from a serious tone to a joking manner. "Why did you change..." Myra asked. "Well it's kinda hard to explain....." Yu said as he walked along with a smile alighting his face, hands behind his head. "I guess when I'm in a battle....I want to do the best I can and try my hardest to make up for the fact I have no gift only natural ability...."
They soon reached a giant room which held many students. They walked into a line opting to get some fresh bacon when a boy bumped into Yu making him spill the coffee he just grabbed.
"How dare you bump into one as great as I!" The kid said in a posh tone holding his hand to his chest. "What's this guys problem..." Yu whispered to Myra. "Oh don't mind him....that's just Ananias." Ananias put one foot up on a table people were currently dinning on." Attention all students.... this lowlife Izanami scum, who is an ungifted, D-RANKER, has bumped into I the great Ananias Modorya! Oh, what should I do?"he said putting both hands to his hand to his cheeks in mock horror. "Challenge, challenge, challenge!" the he students roared eager to see a fight. "They all stopped chanting when they looked down at Yu. His head was low hiding his eyes and his quite voice controlled and calm. "Take...back....what you said...about my family....." Yu said quietly barely above a whisper. "What did you say I can't hear yoooooooo!"Ananias said cupping a hand around his ear. "What you said about my family.....TAKE IT BACK NOW!!!!" Yu screamed the last part for all to hear. Really! I just called you an ungifted D-RANKER and all your worried about is your families honor?! I'll tell you what. If you beat me in a challenge I'll take back what I said....but if you lose you must admit that the Modorya family is superior to yours! Deal?" "Sure..."Yu said breathing hard." Alright meet me there in an hour or so. That'll give you time enough to tell all your family about who there new superiors are...." Ananias began to walk away but before he could escape Myra hurled an insult that made everyone laugh." Your ego is even more full of hot air that you are!"
Yu was starting to like this girl, but he quickly reminded himself that in the end friends are only a burden to becoming stronger, and to win the tournament and be excepted by his family again....he would need to be much stronger.
