Chapter Four

Changpu sat in his morning class waiting for it to start, his female classmates arrived lauging as they passed, they smiled and asking jokingly - "are you dry now Changpu?"

Ying Yue, who entered last winked as she too passed him. Changpu put his head down into his maths textbook ignoring them. But he glanced up for a second at Ying Yue as she winked at him. She was seriously a babe!

Seeing the girls flirting with Changpu, the twins - Wei and Bo were angered and decided to beat him up again - how dare Changpu impress the girls. "Lets smash the Chump again today, Bo said loudly to Wei". Changpu heard them but strangely looked forward to fighting with them this time - he knew somehow the odds had shifted in his favor.

The class began with the teacher demonstrating different maths subjects that the students had problems with and that could appear in the exams, indices, solving linear equations, Algebra, Pythagoras theorem, frequencies, direct and inverse equations, quadratic equations, operating with fractions, probability - wtf.. he seemed to know all the maths theories and problem solving. From class to class it was the same, English, Chinese, Maths, Sciences, seated behind him Ying Yue could see Changpu solving questions as each of the teachers revised them. Wtf.. she thought this guy has been hiding the greatest talent of all - every subject today he solves the answers before the teacher begins to explain them. Changpu is been playing us for years until this final exam - he's a true hidden dragon. Ying Yue then whispered to the other girls around her and they watched him closely as he quickly and easily answered each of the revision questions.. wtf... One of the girls, driven dizzy by his brilliance, scrunched up a note with "I love you Changpu on it and threw it onto his desk." Changpu caught the paper before it could bounce off his desk onto the floor and read it.. A smile lit his face and he smiled before it turned bright red. When he looked back over his shoulder he was surprised to see six girls smiling at him lovingly... wtf...he thought - freaked out Changpu jumped up grabbing his bag and books he rushed from the room explaining to the startled teacher that he felt ill. Fortunately it was the last class of the day. When Changpu arrived home he realized that he had missed the confrontation with the twins.

After dinner that night with his grandparents Changpu climbed onto the roof of the house and sat watching the stars. As he stared at the heavens, he saw a plane travel overhead and said out loud to himself "I wonder who is on board and where they are going." His eyes twitched for a second with Rapid Eye Movement then suddenly over his vision lettering appeared - Super Airlines flight number 3694 from Stuttgart Aiport to Jing Airport with 233 passengers aboard. Do you wish to view the passenger manifest. Wtf. Startled - Changpu jumped up and lost his balance nearly falling off the two storey house! Do you wish to view the passenger manifest? The question kept blinking over his upper left eye.

No!! Changpu quickly replied. No manifest. Changpu was now clinging to the chimney shaking having nearly lost his footing and his mind. No Manifest he repeated - No Manifest. #%@!! Wtf...

After clinging to the Chimney for around 45 minutes Changpu climbed down off the roof and sat in his room feeling shaky.

Now in a safer environment he decided to test whatever system seemed to be interfacing with him. Had it been an hallucination?

Who are you he asked out loud?

Letters appeared over his eyes - "The Interface of Commander Wu." Flashed the words over his left eye.

"What is your purpose? "Changpu asked

"I interface with any available systems and accumulated knowledge to aid the Vermillion Commander Wu with decision making for the good of the Empire - so that it may prosper in safety!!

"The Vermillion Commander Wu." Changpu repeated softly to himself.

"Who is the Vermillion Commander Wu? Changpu asked.

The Vermillion Commander Wu was appointed over 2221 years ago by the mandate of heaven to guard the southern regions and borders of the Empire from conflict.

The last two descendants of the Commander Wu are Wu Changpu and Wu Guozhi - your grandfather - now invalided. Therefore you are Commander Wu - you accepted the post of Commander Wu when you chose discovered the Token and chose to wear it. You then swore to serve it until your death when you spilled your blood upon it yesterday.

Changpu stood up straight on his bed and said out loud - "I am Commander Wu!"

Changpu hadnt seen his Grandma open the door and she stood looking at him laughing.

Commander Wu, hahaha she laughed - you shouldn't read too many Wuxia Changpu - now you really believe you're a Commander Wu? Commander Wu make sure you go to toilet before you go to sleep and please don't stand on your bed talking to yourself too long. Tomorrow you have your final exams!

"Yes Grandma." - the fourteen year old Changpu and the Vermillion Commander Wu of the Southern Regions and Borders of the Empire replied.
