The Three Faces of Null

"This is a story of how an entire race will be continuously played with like pieces on a chessboard by a being so powerful that stars weren't even considered a torch to him, and black holes were simply trash bins to him. How and why would anyone inquire the wrath of such a being upon themselves? Witness the struggle, the pain, and suffering they would go through to finally set themselves free from his wrath. This is my first book ever, so I would like to hear your opinions and thoughts on the novel."

59 – THE EXPERIMENT STARTS

As my claws nearly tore her apart, she vanished into thin air.

"What the hell!" I screamed. "That was my chance, why won't you just stay in one place!" I continued.

Before I could even move, she reappeared in front of me, unfazed. "Boom!" I was sent flying again, but this time, I saw her in the air before I was launched once more. Like a ball in a game, I was being toyed with in the air. This time, her punch was even more forceful, wreaking havoc on my insides.

The punches finally stopped, leaving me to fall. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed as my spine nearly shattered from the impact.

I breathed slowly, biting the inside of my lips to endure the pain. A blurry figure approached me. My bones were nearly destroyed; there was no way I could move, let alone attack. I was defenseless.

"I'm not done with you," the blurry figure said. 'WHAT!!!' I wanted to scream in my mind. As I strained to get a better view of her face, my instincts started screaming. She was no match for me, I knew that now. She wasn't holding back her bloodlust anymore.

She fastened something onto my head, hands, and feet as she dragged me away. The world was losing light. I managed to get one last blurry view of the beautiful landscape before all my senses shut down.

"Ugh, white," I murmured, waking up in a daze. "Where am I?" I thought, shaking off the lingering confusion. "White… I must be in the same place as before."

"You're correct. Now, let's see how strong you are physically," Kiko said, cracking her knuckles menacingly.

I attempted to move, only to realize I was restrained on an experimental table. "God, no," I muttered, noticing the familiar devices attached to my head, arms, and legs. They were the same ones used during my first experiment.

Kiko moved towards a large table beside me, littered with various buttons and what could only be described as torture tools. She pressed a button, causing the table I was strapped to to rotate vertically. Instead of facing the ceiling as before, I was now facing the room. She turned a dial to its maximum setting. Unbeknownst to me, the dial was labeled 'sensitivity meter'. If I had known, I would have been even more alarmed.

"The experiment has begun," she announced, a sadistic grin spreading across her face. "I want to see how much blood loss a peak weak miracle creature like you can endure. " she laughed maniacally, picking up a knife from the table. She approached me, holding the knife before my eyes, then slowly plunged it into my body.

"Urgh," the pain of the knife was unbearable. It reminded me of the pain I felt during my first experiment, only this time it was far worse. Like before, I felt a tearing sensation, but to an unimaginable degree. At least this time, I was dealing with only one person.

Groaning in agony, I held onto the pain. "Good, good. Well, it seems the first knife was effective. That was quite a reaction. I wonder how long it will take for you to start screaming and begging," she said.

I hadn't even noticed that the knife had already pierced deep into my body. Blood was dripping from the wound, and she showed no intention of removing it.

"Of course not. I have many more blades to use," she said, moving aside to reveal a wide variety of knives on the table. My eyes widened in shock and fear.

"Well, the reason all the knives will remain lodged in you is to prevent you from bleeding out too quickly. I wouldn't want you to die too soon, now would I?"
